  • WPF: Disable ListBox, but enable scrolling

    Been banging my head against this all morning. Basically, I have a listbox, and I want to keep people from changing the selection during a long running process, but allow them to still scroll. Solution: All the answers were good, I went with swallowing mouse events since that was the most straight forward. I wired PreviewMouseDown and PreviewMouseUp to a single event, which checked my backgroundWorker.IsBusy, and if it was set the IsHandled property on the event args to true.

    In the OpenSocial Data specificaiton 1.0 for a Person object (social profile data) it includes the use of a generic called Plural-Field. The spec can be found at: http://opensocial-resources.googlecode.com/svn/spec/1.0/Social-Data.xml#Person In the 1.0 data specification there is no XSD and no examples showing the use of this generic Plural-Field. After puzzeling the spec for some time I think I might understand the user of this generic. I was hoping that someone could confirm or correct my understanding. For example the accounts field is a generic Plural-Field<Account> while the activities field is Plural-Field <string>. I do know that the best way to solve the problem is to have only one field and another table that specify the currency, but I have constraints and I cannot modify the DB. Thanks!

  • Lazy property loading in Nhibernate and Spring

    I'm using NHibernate 2.1.2 and Spring 1.3 I have two Text columns (blobs) in one of my classes. I'm trying to use lazy="true" for the mapping of those properties but NHProfiler still shows the two columns being added to the SELECT statement when the main object is loaded. I'm using Spring.NHibernate session factory and have configured ProxyFactory with both Castle and Spring with no luck.

    I have this Factory: Factory.define :email_address do |e| e.sequence(:address) { |n| "factory_#{n}@example.com" } e.validated true end When I run my specs with rake spec, it works fine. When I run autospec, it fails right away, claiming that the email address is being used twice in two different objects (there is a validation which restricts this). The type library file, does not have any hints of events definitions, so Delphi doesn't see it. The class works fine for other C# applications, as you would expect.   • Any way to cache WAV files in IE?

    I'm seeing an issue with our web application. We have a few wave files which we can play (like ding.wav) and we have attempted to pre-load wave files but using Fiddler we're seeing that the WAV files are never cached like (js and css and image files). We always see an HTTP 200 instead of an HTTP 304. Any ideas on how to tell IE that it should cache wav files? We're inserting a div: <EMBED SRC='ding.wav' AUTOSTART='FALSE' HIDDEN='TRUE'>

    I was told in L2S, the code for update and insert are the same, db.InsertOnSubmit(row); db.SubmitChanges(); and L2S will check to see if it is a insert or update and act approprately in the background.
