That commented "if" is for excluding the trouble making contact on which I get this error. If I uncomment that the program runs fine without any problems. The problem is that this test is made on a small number of contacts and if I add more contacts to the test I get more errors of this kind. this should be a synchronization job so excluding all the "bad" contacts won't work

  • iScsiPrt error event ID 5

    Event Log: "Failed to setup initiator portal. Error status is given in the dump data." This is being recorded every 3/100's of a second. We are using MS iSCSI Initiator on Windows Server 2003, Dell 2970 w/4GB (PAE). I am sure that this was configured by Dell initially. I have no idea what changes or mods were made since the company installed this machine until now. (I'm a new User so the lovely and vibrant screen images had to be removed. They were quite pretty and I am sure you would have been very moved and appreciative of them.) It appears that everything is installed correctly and the 5TB bound volume is accessible but I have never worked with iScsi before so I plead total ignorance. In searching I have found this to be a fairly sparce and bland documented subject. I'd like two things... First, to get rid of the error msg being logged. MS says it can be ignored if everything is working but it chews up resources logging it and I don't feel comfortable about any errors on my servers. I want to correct whatever is causing this problem. Secondly, being totally green to this, I would like to confirm that the setup is optimized and we are taking advantage of all features available. Although there are 3 NIC's in this machine it appears that the initiator is only configured for the Broadcom BMC5708C NetXtreme II on our 10.90.1.#, the other 2 NICS are 1GB on the 192.168.0.#. Would additional targets improve performance? If someone who is experienced in configuring the Microsoft iScsi Initiator can help I would really appreciate it since, as I mentioned, everything I have come across has not been of any value at all.   • CentOS PAM+LDAP login and host attribute

    My system is CentOS 6.3, openldap is configured well, PAM authorization works fine. But after turning pam_check_host_attr to yes, all LDAP-auths fail with message "Access denied for this host". hostname on the server returns correct value, the same value is listed in user's profile. "pam_check_host_attr no" works fine and allows everyone with correct uid/password a piece of /var/log/secure: Sep 26 05:33:01 ldap sshd[1588]: pam_unix(sshd:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=ssh ruser= rhost=my-host user=my-username Sep 26 05:33:01 ldap sshd[1588]: Failed password for my-username from 77.AA.BB.CC port 58528 ssh2 Sep 26 05:33:01 ldap sshd[1589]: fatal: Access denied for user my-username by PAM account configuration Another two servers (CentOS 5.7 Debian) authorizes on this LDAP server correctly. Even with pam_check_host_attr yes! I didn't edit /etc/security/access.conf, it is empty, only default comments. I don't know what to do! How to fix this?

    In windows server 2003 when an Event 529 (logon failure) occures with a logon type of 10 (remote logon), the source network IP address is recorded in the event log. On a windows XP machine, this (and some other details) are omitted. If a bot is trying a brute force over RDP (some of my XP machines are (and need to be) exposed with a public IP address), i cannot see the originating IP address so i don't know what to block (with a script i run every few minutes). The DC does not log this detail either when the logon attempt is to the client xp machine and the DC is only asked to authenticate the credentials. Any help getting this detail in the log would be appreciated.

Messages were transferred in to Exchange by copying them from the old Apple Xserve, accessed using IMAP. So my question, finally: 1. Is there any way to get the IMAP Exchange connector to rebuild its cache of messages since it doesn't seem to be pulling them directly from the MAPI store? 2. Alternatively, if there is no database, any ideas on why these messages don't appear in Outlook or OWA would be gratefully received. Many thanks, Mike

  • Do all domains on the same shared hosting server have the same IP or ID

    Here's what I've got: siteA.com and siteB.com are hosted on hostgator. They're hosted on the same account of a shared hosting server (not VPS or dedicated). script.php is an external site that each of these 2 sites are accessing. I noticed that when siteA.com or siteB.com access the outside script.php, the script identifies them both as 1a.12.12ab.static.theplanet.com (apparently because hostgator uses theplanet.com servers). The fact that they're identified as the same value isn't surprising because after all they're hosted on the same account /home/user123/public_html. What I'm wondering about is how about other websites that are hosted on the same shared hosting server, but under other accounts. Basically other websites that are under another developer's control, but just happen to share the same hardware (hosting server). Do they also have the exact same identifier 1a.12.12ab.static.theplanet.com or that changes by account?

  • Force ID of user created by apt-get

    Context: I'm automatically installing postgresql-9.1 on an Ubuntu server with apt-get. This creates the required postgres user. The Postgres data is on an external volume that survives reinstalls. This data is obviously owned by the postgres user. The problem I'm having is that the ownership is not recorded under the name postgres, but under the UID that postgres had at creation time. When the server is reinstalled, postgres sometimes gets a different UID, and no longer owns the data directory, and thus does not work. Question: Can I force the UID of the user postgres created by apt-get to something fixed? Or is there another way to solve my problem? (As you may have deduced, this is on Amazon EC2 with the data on an EBS volume)

    I have set-up Postfix with Spamassassin on Ubuntu 12.04.5. Fundamental usage of Postfix is to (pipe) trigger a PHP file. Till here I've arrived successfully. Now, to avoid unneccessary load on the server, and also to avoid unwanted mails triggering my PHP script, I want to configure Postfix to allow mails only from [email protected] and reject everything else. How to achieve this absolute lock-down on mail server unless mail comes from [email protected]?

  • Server format & Reinstall while keeping Server & domain ID

    Hi Everyone, I want to reinstall my 2008 R2 server from scratch, due to multiple Active Dir issues. I have only 1 server running AD and a spare machine to use if necessary. Is there a way to save just the user accounts and the domain SID, so that I can start with a clean server that uses the same name as before? I can reassign file security, but I do not want to have to rejoin all the users to a new domain. Also all users are mapped to folders on the server. What I hope to do is a clean install of the server without having to mess with the users machines. can someone please tell me the procedure to accomplish this? any help appreciated! Thanks guys, but I could be here all day telling you every error I am getting. can we please keep this to the question of how to do a reinstall and keep the same SID? I just want to start over without having to rejoin all the clients to a new domain. Is there such a tool that can backup the Server SID and the AD domain name so that I could restore them, without restoring any other data? I might not be using the correct terminology here, but hopefully you understand what I am asking. Thanks
