  • Auto scroll down iframe

    - by tree-hacker
How can I get an iframe such that when it loads up, it loads up with the page inside scrolled down by a fixed amount (say 100px)? I have so far: <iframe src="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7459669.stm" scrolling="no" width=500px height=500px></iframe> but it loads up with the bbc.co.uk page inside at the top left when I actually want it to load up scrolled part way down (that is the page inside the iframe scrolled down, not the page containing the iframe). Anyone know how to do this?

  • Where is the root

    - by smwikipedia
I read the manual page of the "mount" command, at it reads as below: All files accessible in a Unix system are arranged in one big tree, the file hierarchy, rooted at /. These files can be spread out over several devices. The mount command serves to attach the file system found on some device to the big file tree. My question is: Where is this "big tree" located?

  • Is my Joda Time format pattern incorrect to produce a `T` and `Z` inside the parsed DateTime output?

    - by Tree
Using Joda Time's pattern syntax below, this input string: Sunday, January 09, 2011 6:15:00 PM becomes this datetime: 2011-01-09T06:15:00.000Z Code: String start = "Sunday, January 09, 2011 6:15:00 PM"; DateTimeFormatter parser1 = DateTimeFormat.forPattern("EEEE, MMMM dd, yyyy H:mm:ss aa"); DateTime startTime = parser1.parseDateTime(start); Is this format pattern incorrect? If not, what are the T and Z doing inside the DateTime output? 2011-01-09T06:15:00.000Z

  • Count in base 2, 3, 4 etc in Java and output all permutations

    - by tree-hacker
I want to write a function in Java that takes as input an integer and outputs every possible permutation of numbers up to that integer. For example: f(1) 0 f(2) should output: 00 01 10 11 f(3) should output: 000 001 002 010 011 012 020 021 022 100 .... 220 221 222 That is it should output all 27 permutations of the digits of the numbers 0, 1, 2. f(4) should output 0000 0001 0002 0003 0010 ... 3330 3331 3332 3333 f(4) should output 00000 00001 ... 44443 44444 I have been trying to solve this problem but cannot seem to work out how to do it and keep getting confused by how many loops I need. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

  • Returning a struct from a class method

    - by tree
I have a header file that looks something like the following: class Model { private: struct coord { int x; int y; } xy; public: .... coord get() const { return xy; } }; And in yet another file (assume ModelObject exists): struct c { int x; int y; void operator = (c &rhs) { x = rhs.x; y = rhs.y; }; } xy; xy = ModelObject->get(); The compiler throws an error that says there is no known covnersion from coord to c. I believe it is because it doesn't know about coord type because it is declared inside of a class header. I can get around that by declaring the struct outside of the class, but I was wondering if it is possible to do the way I am, or is this generally considered bad practice

  • Game Trees Conceptual Question

    - by Chris Corbin
I am struggling to conceptually understand a question in a programming assignment for an algorithms class. The problem is dealing with a fictitious 2 player game, named Easy. The rules of the game are simple; each player may chose one of 4 integers {0-3} after which that integer is not available for the other player. The catch is, a player picks {0} it means they quit. The objective is for Player 1 to get {1} and Player 2 to get {2}, in which case they may win, however if both or neither succeed, then the game ends in a draw. I have been asked to draw the game tree for Easy, showing all nodes, which they explained as 4! = 24. Labeling the edges, which represent moves (selecting a number) and the leaves with who won (1 means Player 1 won, -1 means Player 2 won, and 0 means a tie). I have drawn out a game tree, which I believe is correct, however I am not 100% certain hence I am asking the question. My game tree only has 16 leaves. I am thinking that when a player picks {0}, and then quits, the game tree stops there? I don't see how it is possible to get to 24 leaves? Any help would be greatly appreciate, and if you need more information I would be happy to provide it. Thanks

  • Inside the DLR – Invoking methods

    - by Simon Cooper
So, we’ve looked at how a dynamic call is represented in a compiled assembly, and how the dynamic lookup is performed at runtime. The last piece of the puzzle is how the resolved method gets invoked, and that is the subject of this post. Invoking methods As discussed in my previous posts, doing a full lookup and bind at runtime each and every single time the callsite gets invoked would be far too slow to be usable. The results obtained from the callsite binder must to be cached, along with a series of conditions to determine whether the cached result can be reused. So, firstly, how are the conditions represented? These conditions can be anything; they are determined entirely by the semantics of the language the binder is representing. The binder has to be able to return arbitary code that is then executed to determine whether the conditions apply or not. Fortunately, .NET 4 has a neat way of representing arbitary code that can be easily combined with other code – expression trees. All the callsite binder has to return is an expression (called a ‘restriction’) that evaluates to a boolean, returning true when the restriction passes (indicating the corresponding method invocation can be used) and false when it does’t. If the bind result is also represented in an expression tree, these can be combined easily like so: if ([restriction is true]) { [invoke cached method] } Take my example from my previous post: public class ClassA { public static void TestDynamic() { CallDynamic(new ClassA(), 10); CallDynamic(new ClassA(), "foo"); } public static void CallDynamic(dynamic d, object o) { d.Method(o); } public void Method(int i) {} public void Method(string s) {} } When the Method(int) method is first bound, along with an expression representing the result of the bind lookup, the C# binder will return the restrictions under which that bind can be reused. In this case, it can be reused if the types of the parameters are the same: if (thisArg.GetType() == typeof(ClassA) && arg1.GetType() == typeof(int)) { thisClassA.Method(i); } Caching callsite results So, now, it’s up to the callsite to link these expressions returned from the binder together in such a way that it can determine which one from the many it has cached it should use. This caching logic is all located in the System.Dynamic.UpdateDelegates class. It’ll help if you’ve got this type open in a decompiler to have a look yourself. For each callsite, there are 3 layers of caching involved: The last method invoked on the callsite. All methods that have ever been invoked on the callsite. All methods that have ever been invoked on any callsite of the same type. We’ll cover each of these layers in order Level 1 cache: the last method called on the callsite When a CallSite<T> object is first instantiated, the Target delegate field (containing the delegate that is called when the callsite is invoked) is set to one of the UpdateAndExecute generic methods in UpdateDelegates, corresponding to the number of parameters to the callsite, and the existance of any return value. These methods contain most of the caching, invoke, and binding logic for the callsite. The first time this method is invoked, the UpdateAndExecute method finds there aren’t any entries in the caches to reuse, and invokes the binder to resolve a new method. Once the callsite has the result from the binder, along with any restrictions, it stitches some extra expressions in, and replaces the Target field in the callsite with a compiled expression tree similar to this (in this example I’m assuming there’s no return value): if ([restriction is true]) { [invoke cached method] return; } if (callSite._match) { _match = false; return; } else { UpdateAndExecute(callSite, arg0, arg1, ...); } Woah. What’s going on here? Well, this resulting expression tree is actually the first level of caching. The Target field in the callsite, which contains the delegate to call when the callsite is invoked, is set to the above code compiled from the expression tree into IL, and then into native code by the JIT. This code checks whether the restrictions of the last method that was invoked on the callsite (the ‘primary’ method) match, and if so, executes that method straight away. This means that, the next time the callsite is invoked, the first code that executes is the restriction check, executing as native code! This makes this restriction check on the primary cached delegate very fast. But what if the restrictions don’t match? In that case, the second part of the stitched expression tree is executed. What this section should be doing is calling back into the UpdateAndExecute method again to resolve a new method. But it’s slightly more complicated than that. To understand why, we need to understand the second and third level caches. Level 2 cache: all methods that have ever been invoked on the callsite When a binder has returned the result of a lookup, as well as updating the Target field with a compiled expression tree, stitched together as above, the callsite puts the same compiled expression tree in an internal list of delegates, called the rules list. This list acts as the level 2 cache. Why use the same delegate? Stitching together expression trees is an expensive operation. You don’t want to do it every time the callsite is invoked. Ideally, you would create one expression tree from the binder’s result, compile it, and then use the resulting delegate everywhere in the callsite. But, if the same delegate is used to invoke the callsite in the first place, and in the caches, that means each delegate needs two modes of operation. An ‘invoke’ mode, for when the delegate is set as the value of the Target field, and a ‘match’ mode, used when UpdateAndExecute is searching for a method in the callsite’s cache. Only in the invoke mode would the delegate call back into UpdateAndExecute. In match mode, it would simply return without doing anything. This mode is controlled by the _match field in CallSite<T>. The first time the callsite is invoked, _match is false, and so the Target delegate is called in invoke mode. Then, if the initial restriction check fails, the Target delegate calls back into UpdateAndExecute. This method sets _match to true, then calls all the cached delegates in the rules list in match mode to try and find one that passes its restrictions, and invokes it. However, there needs to be some way for each cached delegate to inform UpdateAndExecute whether it passed its restrictions or not. To do this, as you can see above, it simply re-uses _match, and sets it to false if it did not pass the restrictions. This allows the code within each UpdateAndExecute method to check for cache matches like so: foreach (T cachedDelegate in Rules) { callSite._match = true; cachedDelegate(); // sets _match to false if restrictions do not pass if (callSite._match) { // passed restrictions, and the cached method was invoked // set this delegate as the primary target to invoke next time callSite.Target = cachedDelegate; return; } // no luck, try the next one... } Level 3 cache: all methods that have ever been invoked on any callsite with the same signature The reason for this cache should be clear – if a method has been invoked through a callsite in one place, then it is likely to be invoked on other callsites in the codebase with the same signature. Rather than living in the callsite, the ‘global’ cache for callsite delegates lives in the CallSiteBinder class, in the Cache field. This is a dictionary, typed on the callsite delegate signature, providing a RuleCache<T> instance for each delegate signature. This is accessed in the same way as the level 2 callsite cache, by the UpdateAndExecute methods. When a method is matched in the global cache, it is copied into the callsite and Target cache before being executed. Putting it all together So, how does this all fit together? Like so (I’ve omitted some implementation & performance details): That, in essence, is how the DLR performs its dynamic calls nearly as fast as statically compiled IL code. Extensive use of expression trees, compiled to IL and then into native code. Multiple levels of caching, the first of which executes immediately when the dynamic callsite is invoked. And a clever re-use of compiled expression trees that can be used in completely different contexts without being recompiled. All in all, a very fast and very clever reflection caching mechanism.

  • How to Control Screen Layouts in LightSwitch

    - by ChrisD
Visual Studio LightSwitch has a bunch of screen templates that you can use to quickly generate screens. They give you good starting points that you can customize further. When you add a new screen to your project you see a set of screen templates that you can choose from. These templates lay out all the related data you choose to put on a screen automatically for you. And don’t under estimate them; they do a great job of laying out controls in a smart way. For instance, a tab control will be used when you select more than one related set of data to display on a screen. However, you’re not limited to taking the layout as is. In fact, the screen designer is pretty flexible and allows you to create stacks of controls in a variety of configurations. You just need to visualize your screen as a series of containers that you can lay out in rows and columns. You then place controls or stacks of controls into these areas to align the screen exactly how you want. If you’re new in Visual Studio LightSwitch, you can see this tutorial. OK, Let’s start with a simple example. I have already designed my data entities for a simple order tracking system similar to the Northwind database. I also have added a Search Data  Screen to search my Products already. Now I will add a new Details Screen for my Products and make it the default screen via the “Add New Screen” dialog: The screen designer picks a simple layout for me based on the single entity I chose, in this case Product. Hit F5 to run the application, select a Product on the search screen to open the Product Details Screen. Notice that it’s pretty simple because my entity is simple. Click the “Customize” button in the top right of the screen so we can start tweaking it. The left side of the screen shows the containership of controls and data bindings (called the content tree) and the right side shows the live preview with data. Notice that we have a simple layout of two rows but only one row is populated (with a vertical stack of controls in this case). The bottom row is empty. You can envision the screen like this: Each container will display a group of data that you select. For instance in the above screen, the top row is set to a vertical stack control and the group of data to display is coming from Product. So when laying out screens you need to think in terms of containers of controls bound to groups of data. To change the data to which a container is bound, select the data item next to the container: You can select the “New Group” item in order to create more containers (or controls) within the current container. For instance to totally control the layout, select the Product in the top row and hit the delete key. This will delete the vertical stack and therefore all the controls on the screen. The content tree will still have two rows, but the rows are now both empty. If you want a layout of four containers (two rows and two columns) then select “New Group” for the data item and then change the vertical stack control to “Two Columns” for both of the rows as shown here: You can keep going on and on by selecting new groups and choosing between rows or columns. Here’s a layout with 8 containers, 4 rows and 2 columns: And here is a layout with 7 content areas; one row across the top of the screen and three rows with two columns below that: When you select Choose Content and select a data item like Product it will populate all the controls within the container (row or column in a vertical stack) however you have complete control on what to display within each group. You can delete fields you don’t want to display and/or change their controls. You can also change the size of controls and how they display by changing the settings in the properties window. If you are in the Screen Designer (and not the customization mode like we are here) you can also drag-drop data items from the left-hand side of the screen to the content tree. Note, however, that not all areas of the tree will allow you to drop a data item if there is a binding already set to a different set of data. For instance you can’t drop a Customer ID into the same group as a Product if they originate from different entities. To get around this, all you need to do is create a new group and content area as shown above. Let’s take a more complex example that deals with more than just product. I want to design a complex screen that displays Products and their Category, as well as all the OrderDetails for which that product is selected. This time I will create a new screen and select List and Details, select the Products screen data, and include the related OrderDetails. However I’m going to totally change the layout so that a Product grid is at the top left and below that is the selected Product detail. Below that will be the Category text fields and image in two columns below. On the right side I want the OrderDetails grid to take up the whole right side of the screen. All this can be done in customization mode while you’re debugging the application. To do this, I first deleted all the content items in the tree and then re-created the content tree as shown in the image below. I also set the image to be larger and the description textbox to be 5 rows using the property window below the live preview. I added the green lines to indicate the containers and show how it maps to the content tree (click to enlarge): I hope this demystifies the screen designer a little bit. Remember that screen templates are excellent starting points – you can take them as-is or customize them further. It takes a little fooling around with customizing screens to get them to do exactly what you want but there are a ton of possibilities once you get the hang of it. Stay tuned for more information on how to create your own screen templates that show up in the “Add New Screen” dialog. Enjoy! • How to perform efficient 2D picking in HTML5?

    - by jSepia
I'm currently using an R-Tree for both picking and collision testing. Each entity on screen has a bounding box for collisions and a separate one for picking. Since entities may change position very frequently, both trees must be updated/reordered once per frame. While this is very efficient for collisions, because the tree is used in hundreds of collision queries every frame, I'm finding it too costly for picking, because it only gets queried when the user clicks, thus leading to a lot of wasted tree updates. What would be a more efficient way to implement picking without as much overhead?

  • Keeping application backend and UI synchronised

    - by Deanna
Hi all. I have an app that works with a list of objects so has one central keyed list. The main window has a tree containing these object with some information, which is easy enough to populate as a one off event after loading. Now, the complicated part, any part of the application can add, remove, and more importantly change the details of those objects at any time (all in the same process) and I'd like the tree to update to suit. I have a few options including passing events back down from the object to the list to the form which seems to be the most flexible way. I can also do it lazily and repopulate the tree each time or periodically (very hackish). Does anyone have any better thoughts on how to structure this? This is being done in C# 2.0 but the concepts apply to any environment. Thanks

  • PC to USB transfer slow

    - by Vipin Ms
I'm having trouble with USB transfer, not with external hard disk. Transfer starts with like, for the transfer of 700MB file it starts with 30mb/s and towards the end it stops at 0s and stays put for like 3-4 mins to transfer the last bit. I have tried different USB devices, but no luck. Is it a bug? Another important point is, in Kubuntu there is no such issue. So is it something related to Gnome? I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 64bit. Somebody please help, it's really annoying. Here are the details. PC all of my drives are in ext4. USB I tried ext3,ntfs and fat32. All having the same problem. • Visual Studio: Add Item / Add as link rather than just Add

    - by Pete d'Oronzio
I'm new to visual studio, coming from Delphi. I have a directory tree full of .cs files (root is \Common). I also have a directory tree full of Applications (root is \Applications) Finally, I've got a tree full of Assemblies (root is \Assemblies) I'd like to keep my .cs files in the Common tree and all the environment voodoo (solutions, projects, settings, metadata, debug data, bin, etc.) in the Assmblies tree. So, for a simple example, I've got an assembly called PdMagic.Common.Math.dll. The Solution and project is located in \Assemblies\Common\Math. All of its source (.cs) files are in \Common\Math. (matrix.cs, trig.cs, mathtypes.cs, mathfuncs.cs, stats.cs, etc.) When I use Add Existing Item to add matrix.cs to my project, a copy of it is added to the \Assemblies\Common\Math folder. I just want to reference it. I don't want multiple copies laying around. I've tried Add Existing Item, and used the drop down to "Add link" rather than just "Add", and that seems to do what I want. Question: What is the "best practice" for this sort of thing? Do most people just put those .cs files all in the same folder as the project? Why isn't "Add link" the default? Thanks!

How do I read an incomplete XML and correctly generate the tree? I understand how to read an xml and generate nodes in the tree, what I want to know is, how to read the incomplete XML as it is being typed in

  • jstree select node

    - by niao
Greetings, I am using jsTree to generatate my hierarchical data. JsTree is generated as follows: $(function() { $("#industries").tree({ data: { type: "json", opts: { url: "/Admin/GetIndustries/" } } }); }); it works find and the jsonresult is something like: [{"attributes":[],"data":{"title":"Adwokaci, Notariusze","id":"1a051101-c3fa-48f2-b2e1-c60d1b67ea22"},"children":[{"attributes":[],"data":{"title":"Kancelarie adwokackie","id":"26d6cff1-3c7f-4a2f-bf5a-422e08127b43" my question is: how can I save id of selected node in some hidden field? I do something like this: <script type="text/javascript"> $("#industries").click(function() { var tree = $.tree.reference("industries"); var t = $.tree.focused(); if (t.selected) t.selected; else alert("Select a node first"); alert(t.id); }); but it does not work. Can someone please help me?

  • ExtJs - Set a fixed width in a center layout in a Panel

    - by Benjamin
Hi all, Using ExtJs. I'm trying to design a main which is divided into three sub panels (a tree list, a grid and a panel). The way it works is that you have a tree list (west) with elements, you click on an element which populates the grid (center), then you click on an element in the grid and that generates the panel (west). My main panel containing the three other ones has been defined with a layout 'border'. Now the problem I face is that the center layout (the grid) has been defined in the code with a fixed width and the west panel as an auto width. But when the interface gets generated, the grid width is suddenly taking all the space in the interface instead of the west panel. The code looks like that: var exploits_details_panel = new Ext.Panel({ region: 'east', autoWidth: true, autoScroll: true, html: 'test' }); var exploit_commands = new Ext.grid.GridPanel({ store: new Ext.data.Store({ autoDestroy: true }), sortable: true, autoWidth: false, region: 'center', stripeRows: true, autoScroll: true, border: true, width: 225, columns: [ {header: 'command', width: 150, sortable: true}, {header: 'date', width: 70, sortable: true} ] }); var exploits_tree = new Ext.tree.TreePanel({ border: true, region: 'west', width: 200, useArrows: true, autoScroll: true, animate: true, containerScroll: true, rootVisible: false, root: {nodeType: 'async'}, dataUrl: '/ui/modules/select/exploits/tree', listeners: { 'click': function(node) { } } }); var exploits = new Ext.Panel({ id: 'beef-configuration-exploits', title: 'Auto-Exploit', region: 'center', split: true, autoScroll: true, layout: { type: 'border', padding: '5', align: 'left' }, items: [exploits_tree, exploit_commands, exploits_details_panel] }); Here 'var exploits' is my main panel containing the three other sub panels. The 'exploits_tree' is the tree list containing some elements. When you click on one of the elements the grid 'exploit_commands' gets populated and when you click in one of the populated elements, the 'exploits_details_panel' panel gets generated. How can I set a fixed width on 'exploit_commands'? Thanks for your time.

  • How can I make a WPF TreeView data binding lazy and asynchronous?

    - by pauldoo
I am learning how to use data binding in WPF for a TreeView. I am procedurally creating the Binding object, setting Source, Path, and Converter properties to point to my own classes. I can even go as far as setting IsAsync and I can see the GUI update asynchronously when I explore the tree. So far so good! My problem is that WPF eagerly evaluates parts of the tree prior to them being expanded in the GUI. If left long enough this would result in the entire tree being evaluated (well actually in this example my tree is infinite, but you get the idea). I would like the tree only be evaluated on demand as the user expands the nodes. Is this possible using the existing asynchronous data binding stuff in the WPF? As an aside I have not figured out how ObjectDataProvider relates to this task. My XAML code contains only a single TreeView object, and my C# code is: public partial class Window1 : Window { public Window1() { InitializeComponent(); treeView.Items.Add( CreateItem(2) ); } static TreeViewItem CreateItem(int number) { TreeViewItem item = new TreeViewItem(); item.Header = number; Binding b = new Binding(); b.Converter = new MyConverter(); b.Source = new MyDataProvider(number); b.Path = new PropertyPath("Value"); b.IsAsync = true; item.SetBinding(TreeView.ItemsSourceProperty, b); return item; } class MyDataProvider { readonly int m_value; public MyDataProvider(int value) { m_value = value; } public int[] Value { get { // Sleep to mimick a costly operation that should not hang the UI System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(2000); System.Diagnostics.Debug.Write(string.Format("Evaluated for {0}\n", m_value)); return new int[] { m_value * 2, m_value + 1, }; } } } class MyConverter : IValueConverter { public object Convert(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) { // Convert the double to an int. int[] values = (int[])value; IList<TreeViewItem> result = new List<TreeViewItem>(); foreach (int i in values) { result.Add(CreateItem(i)); } return result; } public object ConvertBack(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) { throw new InvalidOperationException("Not implemented."); } } } Note: I have previously managed to do lazy evaluation of the tree nodes by adding WPF event handlers and directly adding items when the event handlers are triggered. I'm trying to move away from that and use data binding instead (which I understand is more in spirit with "the WPF way").

  • Right-click context menu for Java JTree?

    - by arcanex
    I'm trying to implement pop-up menus in Java JTree. I've sub-classed DefaultTreeCellRenderer (to change node appearance) and DefaultTreeCellEditor (to create Components to attach event listeners to, since apparently the Components that DefaultTreeCellRenderer.getTreeCellRendererComponent() returns can't do it?). I don't really want to "edit" the nodes, just be able to pop-up a menu when a node gets right-clicked, but this is the only way I can think of doing it right now... Below is the code that I have so far-- I'm just trying to figure out how to capture MouseEvents. It sort of works, but badly. What's a better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do here? private class My_TreeCellRenderer extends DefaultTreeCellRenderer { My_TreeCellRenderer() { super (); } public Component getTreeCellRendererComponent(JTree tree, Object value, boolean selected, boolean expanded, boolean leaf, int row, boolean hasFocus) { super.getTreeCellRendererComponent(tree, value, selected, expanded, leaf, row, hasFocus); // set label text and tool tips setText(((My_Object)value).getTreeLabel()); setToolTipText(((My_Object)value).getTreeToolTip()); return this; } } private class My_TreeCellEditor extends DefaultTreeCellEditor { private MouseAdapter ma; My_TreeCellEditor(JTree tree, DefaultTreeCellRenderer renderer) { super (tree, renderer); ma = new MouseAdapter() { public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e) { if (e.isPopupTrigger()) { System.out.println("My Popup"); } } public void mouseReleased(MouseEvent e) { if (e.isPopupTrigger()) { System.out.println("My Popup"); } } }; } public Component getTreeCellEditorComponent(JTree tree, Object value, boolean selected, boolean expanded, boolean leaf, int row) { String src_filename = null; // return non-editing component Component c = renderer.getTreeCellRendererComponent(tree, value, selected, expanded, leaf, row, true); // add mouse listener if it's not listening already MouseListener mouseListeners[] = c.getMouseListeners(); int i; for (i=0; i < mouseListeners.length && mouseListeners[i] != ma; i++); if (i >= mouseListeners.length) c.addMouseListener(ma); return c; } protected boolean canEditImmediately(EventObject event) { if (event instanceof MouseEvent && ((MouseEvent)event).getClickCount() == 1) return true; else return false; } }

  • jQuery accordion menu - keep accordion menu open to the page I am on

    - by MelissaTA
Hi everyone, I hope you can help. I'm very new to jQuery and am working on a five- or six-level accordion menu for my side navigation. I got the majority of the code I have so far from Dane Peterson @ daneomatic.com (thanks Dane!). But, I'm stuck on one thing: I'd like to have my accordion/tree work like this: When I navigate down into, say, level three, and click on the link to open the page linked to that level, how do I indicate once the level three page loads that I'm on that page? Also, how do I keep the tree open to that level when I load the page? I guess what I'm asking is: is there a way for the accordion/tree to automatically update to show what page you're at, and have the tree open to that level? Thanks in advance!

  • Exposing a pointer in Boost.Python

    - by Goose Bumper
I have this very simple C++ class: class Tree { public: Node *head; }; BOOST_PYTHON_MODULE(myModule) { class_<Tree>("Tree") .def_readwrite("head",&Tree::head) ; } I want to access the head variable from Python, but the message I see is: No to_python (by-value) converter found for C++ type: Node* From what I understand, this happens because Python is freaking out because it has no concept of pointers. How can I access the head variable from Python? I understand I should use encapsulation, but I'm currently stuck with needing a non-encapsulation solution.

  • jquery dynatree class methods

    - by Jj Zhang
I'm a new user of dynatree plugin. When I read the documentation, I found the list of tree and node class member functions, such as tree.getRoot(), node.countChildren(). However, when I tried to use them, it complained that no such methods were found. Here is a sample code I am testing with: var tree = ("#test").dynatree(treeData); var rootNode = tree.getRoot(); //not working var rootNode2 = ("#test").dynatree("getRoot"); //this works var numChildren = rootNode2.countChildren(); //not working Help please. Thanks. -JJ

  • Git - Ignore certain files contained in specific folders

    - by Jim
I'm using msysgit and have a project tree that contains many bin/ folders in the tree. Using the .gitignore file in the root of the project I need to ignore all .dll files that reside within a bin/ folder anywhere in the project tree. I've tried "bin/*.dll" but that doesn't work, I assume it is only working against the bin/ folder in the root of the project.
