  I have a hard time reading fonts on webpages, programs and email. I have dropped the resolution down to bump up the text and noticed an improvement in reading comprehension. I can alt+scroll wheel in browsers to bump up the text but... I'm looking to see what other options I have out there... If you have any suggestions related to accessibility and displays I'm all ears! • Monitor not displaing windows 7 correctly

  I have just got a 15" Digimate TFT LCD monitor. I'm running Windows 7. Now the icons are too big, as are the windows in both browsers and word processing software - and everything has a bit to the left cut off, so for instance I can no longer see the back button in Chrome. I've tried looking at the resolution and adjusting the monitor settings, but no luck. I've also tried updating drivers, but can't find any compatible ones.

  Let say I have foo.bar domain, and I force the user to use the https over http. The question is as browsers just accept and load the forwarded/new page(when the request for http://foo.bar - https://foo.bar), does the google bot(or other search engines) accept the forwarded page and index the new page and just ignore the old page? in other word, does search engines accept https beside the http? thanks in advance.

  Now that Google finally allows searching over HTTPS, I switched all my browsers to use https://google.com by default (I documented my effort in my blog). The only browser I couldn't change the URL string in, is IE8. You can either add, remove, or change the priority of a search provider - as far as I've seen. Can anyone suggest a way to change the default search behavior in E8 to go to HTTPS? Thanks.

  Hi all I have tried many ways/software to save a web page (html, mht, doc, pdf). My favorite software was an addon for browsers from Omnipage (OCR). What i like about this is that it prints the whole page (continuously) and it doesn't write the http path and page number on the footer of every page, which i find very annoying. • Saving not cached offline images in Firefox

  I want to save the images from a page in Firefox that have been open for a couple of days. The problem is that neither the page nor the images are available anymore online. The images where dynamically generated and not cached. The only way I can think of is by making a screenshot and then cutting out each invidual image. Isn't there a better way of getting the data from the browsers memory?

  According to whatsmyip.org none of my browsers (Firefox, Chrome etc) on W7 are gzip enabled, it's saying 'NO, your browser is not requesting compressed content' which agrees with Chrome developer tools as I was testing a site and it was complaining that the page and css etc weren't compressed. I've searched for an answer but cannot find anything for this. I've tested from another pc connected to the router and that works fine, something on this pc is broke.... Any help tia

• Firefox is listening for incoming connections on two ports. Why?

  TCPView and ZoneAlarm firewall reveal that Firefox is accepting incoming connections on two ports on localhost (127.0.0.1). The port numbers are not fixed. I reinstalled Firefox without any add-ons, and scanned using 3 antivirus programs (Avast, AVG and Norton), but Firefox is still listening to two ports. Other browsers such as Opera, K-Meleon, IE and Safari do not behave like this. Is something spying on my system?
