  • Textmate rails bundle

    Normally when working inside a Ruby on Rails view file, I can hit CTRL + SHIFT + . to get open/close tags for rails like so: <%= selection %> I'm not sure how, but yesterday this functionality stopped working. I reinstalled the Ruby on Rails bundle for Textmate but alas, it did not help. Can anybody speculate might have happened and how I could fix it/reset to original settings? Thanks!

  • How do I remove initial indents on numbered lists?

    In Word 2007 I want all numbers in a numbered list to be down the LH margin in line with the paragraphs. When a numbered list is selected, the numbers 1,2,3 are indented by a default 0.63cm. Ctrl-Shift-M will shift this indent back to the left margin. How do I permanently remove that initial indent and save that change to the normal template so that all new documents have zero indent on a newly inserted numbered list? (Same issue in Word 2010)

  • Ubuntu, trouble getting back from lock screen

    My problem is that after being idle for a while, the screen is locked and after this happened I get a black screen from which I can't get rid of. I mean after black screen comes, typing and moving mouse does not bring any new screen, and even alt+ctrl+F1 to F7 changes nothing. All I can do is to restart the system. Can anybody help me with this?

  • Ignore mapping when in text input box

    I have AutoHotkey set up in a way that is recognises Cmd-Left and Cmd-Right keystrokes as back/forward navigation in Chrome. Problem is that it also recognises those keys being pressed while I am entering text in textboxes. However when entering text, I'd would like those key combinations to carry out different function - jump to beginning/end of the line, similar to Ctrl-Left/Right. Is there a way to have one mapping working for text boxes and another mapping for everything else in AutoHotkey?

  • Activating active PuTTY window in MTPuTTY with AutoHotkey script doesn't work

    I'm using Multi-Tabbed PuTTY and I wrote AutoHotKey script to rerun the command which was run as the last one. However the active PuTTY window (inside MTPuTTY) does not get activated thus sending keys has no effect. CTRL+` is a hotkey to Switch between the application and active PuTTY window. How to fix this?   • Why does the "Logon Help" dialog show up on every boot?

    Every time I boot Windows XP Professional on my notebook, the Logon Help dialog (the one which tells you how to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete) automatically opens. How do I disable this? This did not always happen, but has been going on for quite a while now, with both SP2 and SP3. I'm using the classic logon screen, where you have to type in your username and password.

  • Keyboard shortcut to minimize Remote Desktop

    Is there a way, using the keyboard, to switch from a maximized (full screen) Remote Desktop Connection back to the main computer? I have about 4 Remote Desktop connections that I am switching between and it would be nice to not have to go to the mouse each time I want to switch. I know I can press Ctrl+Alt+Break and that normalizes the remote desktop screen. That is close, but I would like a way to just minimize it (so I don't have to normalize-switch-maximize each time I want to switch screens)

    In Outlook 2010, if I accidently, hit left ctrl shift, my language changes. I keep hitting it and get a new language, but I can't get back to English. How do i reset back to my default language? Going to control panel - lanuage and region and hitting default there does not work. Also, how do i configure my outlook 2010 and all office products to NEVER change language? I only want to use English

    In vim and Notepad++ I have an awesome feature either mapped or built in that I've seen called text bubbling. I know about the Sublime documentation for mapping my own, but wanted to make sure I wasn't duplicating functionality: Basically when I have either block of text selected, or just a cursor on a line, I push (ctrl + up/down) or some other mapping, and the text is moved up or down, in a block, and the rest of the text 'flows' around it. Is this a native feature in Sublime Text or should I script it in?

  • Does Chrome have a quick find shortcut similar to ' in Firefox?

    I absolutely lived on the ' shortcut in Firefox, which allows you to do a find that applies to text links, and it focuses on them so you can hit Enter and proceed to that link. Chrome only has ctrl-f which focuses on links as well, but you have to ESC out and then hit Enter, which is not as immediate as the Firefox shortcut. Is anyone aware of a Chrome shortcut that replicates this functionality? Or is there some hidden shortcut/key that does this in Chrome which I'm simply unaware of?

I'm running into annoyances/issues because I'd like to use activate certan Mac key combinations from my Windows keyboard but can't, and I may even want to remap explicitly what Windows Shift, Alt, Ctrl, and Win do on the Mac when I'm using the VNC client. Does anyone know if it is possible to customize this in UltraVNC, or if there is some other client that can do that?

  • Why does copying an XML file from Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit to Windows XP 32-bit change the file?

    What I do: Copy an xml file (ctrl+C) on a Win Server 2008 machine. Minimize mstsc.exe (remote connection app). Paste the xml file on to my WinXP machine (ctrl+V). The result: All of the original contents are still present but another bit is appended at the end of it. E.g. the proper end of the file looks something like this: <ApplicationName>MyApp</ApplicationName> </ReceivePort> </ReceivePortCollection> <PartyCollection xsi:nil="true" /> </BindingInfo> But, after the copy, it looks like this: <ApplicationName>MyApp</ApplicationName> </ReceivePort> </ReceivePortCollection> <PartyCollection xsi:nil="true" /> </BindingInfo>al, PublicKeyToken=3zzf3xxxadyyy35" Type="1" TrackingOption="ServiceStartEnd MessageSendReceive PipelineEvents" Description="" /> <ReceivePipelineData xsi:nil="true" /> <SendPipeline xsi:nil="true" /> <SendPipelineData xsi:nil="true" /> <Enable>true</Enable> <ReceiveHandler Name="WCF_OracleDB_Rx" HostTrusted="false"> <TransportType Name="WCF OracleDB" Capabilities="779" Configuratio The extra bits it adds are things that come from earlier in the XML file. If I do the copy multiple times, the extra bits are always exactly the same but another XML file will add different lines. If I do a copy/paste from a Windows Explorer window that's opened to the folder on the remote machine, I do not have the same behavior. I.e. the file copies properly and without any extra surprises.     I have set, under "Main" - "IDE Configuration" - "Configure SATA as" to "Raid" and "Onboard Serial-ATA BootRom" to "Enabled", but upon POST I still do not see the Intel Matrix Storage Manager screen where I can press Ctrl+I to set up my raid? I have the latest BIOS version EDIT: Although I had set the rom to "enabled", I then went and reset the bios settings to default. I then set the bootrom setting to "disabled", restarted and then "enabled" again and it seemed to work.

  • Is there a way to unhook a global hotkey in windows?

    I'm running Windows 7, and I installed an application that installed a global hot key (ctrl+shift+space) which conflicts with another application (Visual Studio) that uses that hotkey (though, not globally, only applications specific). The question is, knowing which application it is (ScanSnap Manager) and that it doesn't have a setting to turn off the hot key, is there a way I disable it through Windows somehow? Thanks!
