What are some good programs out there, desktop or web, that allow you to easily organize your project and set development goals and milestones?   • Custom Application Page does not recognize tagPrefix defined in custom web.config

    I have a custom application page integrated in Centeral Administration. My application pages are placed in a subfolder in Template\Admin folder. I placed my own web.config in my subfolder and added tagPrefixes in the control section. However when I open my application page ASP.NET throws the exception that the tag SharePoint:InputFormTextBox was not recognized. What am I doing wrong? Or it doesn't work this way? What can i do to achieve this?

  • Can a custom WPF control implement the IsDefault property

    I have a custom button control that does not derive from Button. Is it possible for me to implement the equivalent of IsDefault so that the command associated with my control will be invoked. I was hoping that this was an attached property that I could add to any control but as far as I can tell it doesn't seem to be. Am I out of luck if my control does not derive from Button or is there at least a reasonable workaround?

    Wondering how to accomplish setting the Style xaml with the code in F#. Im a C# project the buld options allow you to mark it as a resource cusomt build command of: MSBuild:Compile I don't see it in the properties panel, so I tried to add it by hand to the project file myself... Any ideas? The application loads - the custom control has no output (but the code executes). Thanks

    I'm about to design my Web service API, most of the functions of my API is basically very simular to my web application. Now the question is, should I create 1 single method and reuse them for both the web application and the web service api? (This seems to be the logical solution, however its very complicated; it's much easier to duplicate the method used by the web application, and keep both separate, ie one method for the web application and one method for the web service.) How do you guys do it? 1) REUSE: one main method and reuse them for both web application and web service application (I like this but it's complicated) WebAppMethodX --uses-- COMMONFUNCTIONMETHOD_X APIMethodX ---uses---- COMMONFUNCTIONMETHOD_X ie common function performs functions such as creating/updating/deleting records etc 2) DUPLICATE: two methods, one method for the web application and one method for the web service.     Hello friends, I have created my own custom role provider class "SGI_RoleProvider" and configured properly. Everything is working fine. Suppose that I have added a public method say "SayHello()", then how can i call that. Because if i am using Roles then the method is not displayed. If i am forcefully using that Roles.SayHello() then compiler gives the error. Any suggestion how can i call this. Because creating a new instance of SGI_RoleProvider is meaningless.
