    There is a web service running on tomcat on a server. It is built on Java Servlet. It is listening others to call itself on a SSL enabled http port. so its web service adreess looks like: https://172.29.12.12/axis/services/XYZClient?wsdl On the other hand I want to connect the web service above from a windows application which is built on .NET frame work. Finally, when I want to connect the web service from my computer; I get some specific erros; Firstly I get; Proxy authentication error; then I added some new line to my code; Dim cr As System.Net.NetworkCredential = New System.Net.NetworkCredential("xname", "xsurname", "xdomainname") Dim myProxy As New WebProxy("http://mar.xxxyyy.com", True) myProxy.Credentials = cr Secondly, after this modifications It says that bad request. I did not get over this error. Moreover I did try to connect the web server on the same computer. I copied my executable program to the computer where the web service runs. The error was like; The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for SSL/TLS secure channel PS: When I try to connect to web service by using Internet Explorer; I see firstly some warnings about accepting an unknown certificate and I click take me to web service an I get there clearly. I want to know what are the basic elements to connect a web service, could you please tell me the requirements that I have to use on my windows project. regards bk

    Suppose I have a query that returns result like this: Project Year Type Amt PJ00001 2012 1 1000 PJ00001 2012 2 1000 PJ00001 2011 1 1000 PJ00002 2012 1 1000 What I want: Every Project will have 2 rows of Types for each Year. If the row is not there, add it to the result with Amt = 0. For example: - PJ00001 have 2 rows of type 1,2 in 2012 -- OK. But in 2011, it only have 1 row of Type 1 -- We add one row:PJ00001 2011 2 0 - PJ00002 have only 1 row of type 1 -- add:PJ00002 2012 2 0 Is there a way to easily do it.     When you use facebook connect on the iPhone do you have to use the supplied login button and login screen built into the framework? The reason I ask is because I'm also using twitter and I would like to have the same user experience when they log in to user as they have when they log in to facebook. So I can either replicate the login screen facebook connect uses for twitter or just not use the facebook connect login screen all together.

    I have been trying to read a file in "cp037" encoding scheme using JAVA. I able to read a file in basic encoding schemes like UTF-8, UTF16 etc...After a bit of research on the internet i came to know that we need charset.jar or international version of JRE be installed to support extended encoding schemes. Can anyone send me a link for international version of JRE6 or JDK6. or is there any better way that i could read a file in cp037 encoding scheme. P.S: cp037 is a character encoding scheme supported by IBM Mainframes. All i need is to display a file in windows, which is being generated on IBM Mainframes machine, using a java program.     I am using C++ and Qt in my project and my problem is QObject::connect function doesn't connect signal to a slot. There is the Q_OBJECT macros, no warning such as about no x slot. In addition to this, receivers(SIGNAL(snippetAdded())) gives me 1 but receivers(SIGNAL(variableAdded())) gives me 0 and i used commands qmake -project; qmake and make to fully compile. What am i missing?

  • auth.getSession not working

    hi all, i am having troubles with calling auth.getSession in my proxy. It is being called from a iPhone connect client. When the proxy URL is invocated from the iphone, FB returns a 100 invalid parameter error to the proxy. However the 2nd attempt from iPhone yields success. Both times the proxy is doing the same code, only the auth_token is different. Doing a good search, shows that this is a problematic method. I have tried everything in code and even called in a iPhone expert to see if the problem is on the iPhone client. I have concentrated my efforts on the java api being the problem, however i believe the problem lies else where. We decided to use web services to achieve this and now i just want to know what diffuculties may i face with? I have URL of WSDL of the Web Service, will it be enough for me to adding web reference and giving the WSDL's URL? How will i authenticate? And Will it be the same with consuming normal web services? Also i wonder is there anybody that can share a .NET dll that can be used in visual studio 2008? There are some articles relating how to create such a dll using SAP .Net Connector and visual studio 2003 but i could not find anybody sharing the resulting dll under their post. Thanks...

    I apologize if this has already been answered, but all the information out there on Facebook publishing is so confusing and conflicting, I haven't been able to get anything to work yet. I'm trying to set up an application that runs on my local server to publish content to my organization's fan page (this will tie in with my WCMS to cross-post content). I believe I want a Facebook Connect application to do this which I've set up properly in Facebook and gotten an application key and secret. Here's the code I'm trying to execute, but each time it's run I get "User has not authorized access" even if I'm just trying to publish to the application wall. ConnectSession fbSession = new ConnectSession("APP_KEY", "APP_SECRET"); Api fbAPI = new Api(fbSession); fbAPI.Stream.Publish("hello world"); I've also tried: fbAPI.Stream.Publish("hello world", null, null, FAN_PAGE_ID, APP_ID); I've granted my application access to publish on the fan page.

From Facebook's documentation you just need to use valid XFBML and a fb:photo tag as such: <div id="myPhoto"> <fb:photo pid="12345"></fb:photo> </div> My problem is that doesn't render anything when I call: FB.XFBML.Host.parseDomElement(document.getElementById("myPhoto")); If I call the same XFBML on a regular facebook page, it displays without problem, the bug is only on a separated website using facebook connect. Also, I don't get any JS errors. Any help would be appreciated

    I am creating a site that allow users to vote on webpages similar to digg.com. Users login with 'facebook connect' and logged in users can submit, vote, comment, etc and these details appear in their profile ie. number of submits, votes, comments, etc. I have also added in facebook 'likes' to the system. I would however like to be able replace the internal voting platform with facebook 'likes'. What I would like to be able to do is identify when any of the site users vote on a facebook 'like'. Although a facebook 'like' can be made outside of my site I am only interested when a logged in user submits a 'like' so this can contribute towards their stats. Is this possible, if so how?     Note: The application I'm building is a website type Facebook Application that uses Facebook Connect. I can prompt the user with a request for Extended Permissions using the following FBML code: <fb:prompt-permission perms="read_stream,publish_stream"> Grant permission for status updates </fb:prompt-permission> Taken from here. This creates a link on the page that must be clicked by the user in order to trigger the prompt to display. My question is: Is it possible to display this prompt automatically, when the page loads, without requiring the user to click on the link? Also, in reply to the answer below, I'd like to avoid displaying the link. Would prefer a neat way to do this, if that fails the least dirty method will do :-)

    Trying to get Facebook to authenticate my users via a javascript popup. Right now, I have: <input type="button" value="Connect with Facebook" onclick="window.open('https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=XXXXXXXXXXX&redirect_uri=http://example.com/step2&display=popup')" /> But when the user logs in via Facebook, the popup just displays the Facebook.com homepage. I'd like for the popup to authenticate the user and go away so that I can start retrieving user data from the graph api. Is there a better / easier way to do this? Simple examples are appreciated. For example, not all of my users have hooked up their facebook accounts to my website, but I still want to use this API method. I am getting the following error: Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: 453: A session key is required for calling this method thrown in /public_html/libs/facebook.php on line 413 But on the wiki it says that the method does not require a session key? If it is not possible to make API calls without such a key, is there anyway I can make calls on behalf of my account or my applications account (rather then a users account)?
