• Getting EL variable properties in eclipse

  I'm using Eclipse/Spring source to edit JSP tags and EL. If I want to check what all the properties of a variable are is there a way to do this? Or even find out which file is generating the variable that's passed in. I'm thinking something along the lines of firebug for Javascript, where you can select an object and drill-down to get it's properties.

  Hi, currently I'm developing in eclipse 3.5 in different project web applications for tomcat 6.0.24. For each of this project I have written a ant build file to generate the war file to deploy the project to the tomcat container. So I have to run for each project the ant build file (a lot of clicks, and a waste of time).   Is there a way to make Eclipse highlight com.company (where for company substitute the name of the company you work for) in stack traces? It would make it fractionally easier and faster to home in on which parts of the stack trace were ours, and which were third-party code. I tried the logview plugin here, and while it does work, it makes the location information in the stack traces unclickable, which means I would waste more time than I would save.

  I've downloaded, unzipped and setup Eclipse 3.4.2 with some plugins (noteable, EPIC, Clearcase, QuantumDB, MisterQ). Now I find when I'm editing Java projects the code completion is not working. If I type String. and press ctrl-space a popup shows "No Default Proposals" and the status bar at the bottom shows "No completions available". Any ideas? Thanks....

  Hi, I am trying to access a MySQL database with python through Pydev Eclipse. I have installed the necessary files to access MysQL from python and I can access the database only when I write code in Python IDLE environment and run it from command prompt. However I am not able to run my applications from Pydev. when I use this "import MysqlDB" i get an error, but in IDLE no errors and my code runs very smoothly. Does anyone know were the problem is?   I am trying to load a dll in java using the following code System.loadLibrary("mydll"); The project is placed in D:\development\project\ and i have placed the dll on D:. I then gave following VM argument in eclipse configuration -Djava.library.path=D:/ But when i run i get UnsatisifiedLinkerError. After googling a bit, I used System.load("D:\mydll.dll"); but again getting the same problem, could someone can help?

• Logvat viewer in Eclipse flickers annoyingly

  In the logcat viewer in Eclipse, if it is set to filter messages coming from the application I am currently debugging, the list flickers annoyingly. My guess that it reloads the list every time a log message arrives from my device, even if it is not displayed because of the filter. However, it makes reading log messages very hard. Is there any way to counter this bug? Or is there an alternate logcat viewer for Android?
