  • Is there a way to download all google webfonts in web font formats

    - by wayne
They simple just have ttf in the repository and i am looking for a less painful way then just do change the browser referrer and download them one by one. As far as i understand it the conversation, as described in the google wiki takes effort and steps to reduce filesize ... so i just can't batch convert them. I simple want the exact files that google serves browsers for localhost (without internet) use. woff, sot, svg ...

For corporate boards, business analysts, investors, and the trade press the metrics they deploy are relatively binary in nature; what is being done to generate earnings, and what is being done to build and sustain high performance? As for the market, interest is primarily aroused when operational and financial performance falls outside planned commitments for the year. When organizations announce better than predicted results, they usually experience an immediate increase in share price. Likewise, poor results have an obviously negative impact on the share price and impact the role and tenure of the incumbent CEO. The danger for the CEO is that the risk of failure is ever present, ranging from manufacturing delays and supply chain issues to labor shortages and scope creep. This risk is enhanced by the involvement of secondary suppliers providing services critical to overall work schedules, and magnified further across a portfolio of programs and projects underway at any one time – and all set within a global context. All can impact planned return on investment and have an inevitable impact on the share price – the primary empirical measure of day-to-day performance. Read this complete complementary report, In the Firing Line and explore what is the direct link between the health of the portfolio and CEO performance. This report will provide an overview of the responsibility the CEO has for implementing and maintaining a culture of accountability, offer examples of some of the higher profile project failings in recent years, and detail the capabilities available to the CEO to mitigate the risks residing in their own portfolios. • PDF form created in Libre Office - trouble with form fields and font sizing

    - by soawesomejohn
I am trying to create a PDF Form using LibreOffice. I can create the form elements and export as PDF. However, the form fields are giving me problems. The text in these fields always centers on the bottom, and often the text you input is cut off at the bottom. I found that if I make the fields larger, the text no longer cuts off, but the field is exceptionally large with lots of space above the text. I have made an odt (source) and a pdf (export) file to show what I'm running into. I tried a number of different fonts and sizes, but to make things easier, I made the field names all "field1" so that once you fill out one entry, all fields show as filled in. http://ytnoc.net/files/sampleapp.odt http://ytnoc.net/files/sampleapp.pdf My main question is how do I make form fields that don't cut off the text without having to make the fields way oversized? Made with LibreOffice 3.3.0

  • Configuring trace file size and number in WebCenter Content 11g

    - by Kyle Hatlestad
Lately I've been doing a lot of debugging using the System Output tracing in WebCenter Content 11g.  This is built-in tracing in the content server which provides a great level of detail on what's happening under the hood.  You can access the settings as well as a view of the tracing by going to Administration -> System Audit Information.  From here, you can select the tracing sections to include.  Some of my personal favorites are searchquery,  systemdatabase, userstorage, and indexer.  Usually I'm trying to find out some information regarding a search, database query, or user information.  Besides debugging, it's also very helpful for performance tuning. • Monitor screen size and programming ease

    - by rrazd
I recently heard that a big part in successful/quick debugging and easing the process of programming is to use a big screen. I may be purchasing a new computer in the future and this has me wondering: 1)Is the aforementioned statement actually true or is it a bit of a stretch? 2)Have you noticed that this plays a significant enough part to buy a bigger screen if the bigger screen is significantly more expensive? 3)Is it common for developers to work on 13'' laptop screen as their main (and only) workstation (this is what I currently develop on) or is this actually disadvantageous? This may be subjective but any professional opinions/experiences would be greatly appreciated!

  • Why does Font.registerFont throw an error the second time a swf is loaded?

    - by Al Brown
    I've found an issue (in flash cs5) when using TLFTextfields and fonts shared at runtime, and I wondered if anyone has a solution. Here's the scenario. Fonts.swf: library for fonts (runtime shared DF4) Popup.swf: popup with a TLFTextfield (with text in it) using a font from Fonts.swf Main.swf : the main swf with a button that loads and unloads Popup.swf (using Loader or SafeLoader give the same results) Nice and simple, Run main.swf, click button and the popup appears with the text. Click the button again to remove the popup. All well and good now click the button again and I get the following error. ArgumentError: Error #1508: The value specified for argument font is invalid. at flash.text::Font$/registerFont() at Popup_fla::MainTimeline()[Popup_fla.MainTimeline::MainTimeline:12] I'm presuming it's happening because the font is already registered (checked when clicking before the load). Does anyone know how to get past this? If you are wondering here's my Main.as package { import fl.controls.Button; import flash.display.Loader; import flash.display.Sprite; import flash.events.Event; import flash.events.IOErrorEvent; import flash.events.MouseEvent; import flash.events.UncaughtErrorEvent; import flash.net.URLRequest; import flash.text.Font; public class Main extends Sprite { public var testPopupBtn:Button; protected var loader:Loader; public function Main() { trace("Main.Main()"); testPopupBtn.label = "open"; testPopupBtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, testClickHandler); } protected function testClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void { trace("Main.testClickHandler(event)"); if(loader) { testPopupBtn.label = "open"; this.removeChild(loader); //loader.unloadAndStop(); loader = null; }else{ testPopupBtn.label = "close"; trace("Registered Fonts -->"); var fonts:Array = Font.enumerateFonts(false); for each (var font:Font in fonts) { trace("\t",font.fontName, font.fontStyle, font.fontType); } trace("<--"); loader = new Loader(); loader.uncaughtErrorEvents.addEventListener(UncaughtErrorEvent.UNCAUGHT_ERROR, uncaughtErrorHandler); this.addChild(loader); try{ loader.load(new URLRequest("Popup.swf")); }catch(e:*){ trace(e); } } } private function uncaughtErrorHandler(event:UncaughtErrorEvent):void { trace("Main.uncaughtErrorHandler(event)", event); } } }

  • Changing font size of legend title in Python pylab rose/polar plot

    - by LaurieW
I'm trying to change the font size of the title of an existing legend on a rose, or 'polar', plot. Most of the code was written by somebody else, who is away. I've added:- ax.legend(title=legend_title) setp(l.get_title(), fontsize=8) to add the title 'legend_title', which is a variable that the user enters a string for in a a different function that uses this code. The second line of this doesn't return an error but doesn't appear to do anything either. The complete code is below. 'Rose' and 'RoseAxes' are modules/functions written by somebody. Does anyone know of a way to change the legend title font size? I've found some examples for normal plots but can't find any for rose/polar plots. from Rose.RoseAxes import RoseAxes from pylab import figure, title, setp, close, clf from PlotGeneration import color_map_xml fig = figure(1) rect = [0.02, 0.1, 0.8, 0.8] ax = RoseAxes(fig, rect, axisbg='w') fig.add_axes(ax) if cmap == None: (XMLcmap, colors) = color_map_xml.get_cmap('D:/HRW/VET/HrwPyLibs/ColorMapLibrary/paired.xml',255) else: XMLcmap = cmap bqs = kwargs.pop('CTfigname', None) ax.box(Dir, U, bins = rose_binX, units = unit, nsector = nsector, cmap = XMLcmap, lw = 0, **kwargs ) l = ax.legend() ax.legend(title=legend_title) setp(l.get_texts(), fontsize=8) setp(l.get_title(), fontsize=8) Thanks for any help

How can I change the color for these links only inside the element?

  • Problem with poor font rendering with CSS3 transitions, jQuery, & Google Fonts

    - by Justin
In Firefox, there is no problem. Here's an image: http://cl.ly/3R0L1q3P1r11040e3T1i In Safari, the text is rendering poorly: http://cl.ly/0a1101341r2E1D2d1W46 In IE7 & IE8, it's much worse, but I don't have a picture. Sorry :( I'm using Isotope jQuery plugin, and the CSS3 transitions seem to cause the poor font-rendering. I'm also using Google Font API. Here's what the CSS transitions for Isotope are written as: /**** Isotope CSS3 transitions ****/ .isotope, .isotope .isotope-item { -webkit-transition-duration: 0.8s; -moz-transition-duration: 0.8s; transition-duration: 0.8s; } .isotope { -webkit-transition-property: height, width; -moz-transition-property: height, width; transition-property: height, width; } .isotope .isotope-item { -webkit-transition-property: -webkit-transform, opacity; -moz-transition-property: -moz-transform, opacity; transition-property: transform, opacity; } I appreciate any help with this. Looks great in Firefox! Thanks!

  • OCR combined with font recognition?

    - by Adam
I have a bold idea where a user could take an image like the following and in a few seconds of processing, be able to edit a document which looks roughly the same. The software would use WhatTheFont (or something similar) to recognize the fonts used, and OCR and other software to handle the font size, color, line-spacing, and of course the text content itself. In the case of the example image, there would be three separate "textboxes" produced, each starting at the upper left corner of the text, and extending as far to the bottom right as it could before running into another text box. So the user would then see something like this: (The rectangles are just used to show the boundaries of each textbox.) From here, the user would be able to edit the text in each of these boxes to create a new document. Of course there are tons of obvious uses for such an application, especially on a mobile phone with a built in camera. So my questions are the following: I doubt the answer is yes, but does anything do this already? If I'm going to try to build this, what should I write it in? Can I use Python? What would be the best OCR libraries to start with? Is there a service other than WhatTheFont for font recognition that has better API support? Anybody want to help me build it? :) etc. etc. Update: One thing I wanted to mention (but forgot) is I would also like the background to be preserved. In other words, if the example above had an image behind the text, I'd like the document to use that image with text removed. I know this complicates things a lot because that would require some image editing techniques too (something akin to Photoshop CS5' "content-aware fill"). But if we can solve diminished reality on iPhones, I think we can figure this out!

  • Windows File System Analysis

    - by bouvierr
I am looking for a FREE tool to perform analyses on the NTFS file system of my Windows 7 PC. I want to easily see the amount of data distributed throught out the entire file system. The following applications seem very good, but they are not free and probably overkill for my requirements: FolderSizes 5 MailMeter Windows File System Reporting Tool I am aware that some applications (like Folder Size 2.5) can add a column in Windows Explorer to show the size of each folder, but I am looking for something more like a reporting tool. Thank you for your suggestions.

I have all type of the property UIViewContentMode, but imageView didn't change its size.

  • Get size of UIView after applying CGAffineTransform

    - by Ican Zilb
I was surprised not to find an answer to this question, maybe is something very simple I somehow overlook : How to get the real size of an UIView after I apply a CGAffineTransform to it? eg. my UIView has size 300 x 200, I apply a scaling transform let's say factor 2 both horizontal and vertical, so the UIView now takes 600 x 400 on the screen, but it's bounds and it's layer's bounds are still returning a size of 300 x 200 ... where do I find the real size of the UIView ?
