  • Is there a Google 3d Warehouse API?

    Does anyone know if there is an official or unofficial API for Google 3D warehouse. I know of the iPhone app NaviCAD, which shows Collada models from Google Warehouse - it has search, most-viewed, most-recent functionality; so I guess it is using some sort of API to get that data. But I couldn't find any auch api after searching around. Do you know if there is any?

  • Google Maps rendering locally but not in live environment

    I have a page that renders a simple google map for a specified location. This map renders without any problems at all when I run it locally on localhost, however, when I deploy this code to our live web servers (using our LIVE google API key for the appropriate domain) it fails to render, and upon putting a series of alerts within the javascript on the page, it appears that the 'Initialize' method (which should be called within body onLoad) is not being called. When I view the HTML source that is rendered on the live server it appears exactly as per the local version of the site (including the call to initialize() within the body onLoad event), albeit with the different maps API key. I have output the host (alert(window.location.host);) to ensure that the key I generated via the google maps api site, corresponds exactly to the live server, which it does. Does anyone have any ideas why it would be working locally but not when deployed to the live servers? The live site is hosted on 2 load-balanced web servers.     Hello all. I've been wondering if there are known solutions for algorithm of creating a school timetable. Basically, it's about optimizing "hour-dispersion" (both in teachers and classes case) for given class-subject-teacher associations. We can assume that we have sets of classes, lesson subjects and teachers associated with each other at the input and that timetable should fit between 8AM and 4PM. I guess that there is probably no accurate algorithm for that, but maybe someone knows a good approximation or hints for developing it. P.S. I know, there was http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1259686/school-timetable-generation-algorithm-closed , but unlike in that case, I'm not looking for actual implementation, rather for thoughts on how to do it or why it's impossible.

    Algorithm to generate all possible letter combinations of given string down to 2 letters Trying to create an Anagram solver in AS3, such as this one found here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/adam.bozon/anagramsolver.htm I'm having a problem wrapping my brain around generating all possible letter combinations for the various lengths of strings. If I was only generating permutations for a fixed length, it wouldn't be such a problem for me... but I'm looking to reduce the length of the string and obtain all the possible permutations from the original set of letters for a string with a max length smaller than the original string. For example, say I want a string length of 2, yet I have a 3 letter string of “abc”, the output would be: ab ac ba bc ca cb. Ideally the algorithm would produce a complete list of possible combinations starting with the original string length, down to the smallest string length of 2. I have a feeling there is probably a small recursive algorithm to do this, but can't wrap my brain around it. I'm working in AS3. Thanks!

    I'm searching for an algorithm for Digit summing. Let me outline the basic principle: Say you have a number: 18268. 1 + 8 + 2 + 6 + 8 = 25 2 + 5 = 7 And 7 is our final number. It's basically adding each number of the whole number until we get down to a single (also known as a 'core') digit. It's often used by numerologists. I'm searching for an algorithm (doesn't have to be language in-specific) for this. I have searched Google for the last hour with terms such as digit sum algorithm and whatnot but got no suitable results. Any help would be great, thanks.

    Here we have an interesting real-world algorithm requirement involving colors. 1) Nice random colors: In ordeeing to draw a beautifull chart (i.e: pie chart) we need to pick a random set of Colors that: a) are different enought b) Play nicely Doesnt Look hard. For example u fix bright and saturation and divide hue in steps of 360/Num_sectors 2) Stable: given Pie1 with sectors with labes ('A','B','C') and Pie2 with sector with labels ('B','C','D'), will be nice if color('B',pie1)= color('B',pie2) and the same for 'C' and so on, so people don't get crazy when seeing similar updated charts, even if some sectors appear some dissapeared or the number of sectors changed. The label is the only stable thing. 3) hard-coded colors: the algorithm allows hardcoded label-color relationships as an input but stills doing a good work (1 & 2) for the rest of free labels. I think this algorithm, even if it looks quite ad-hoc, will be usefull in more then one situation. Any ideas?

  • Using Dijkstra's algorithm with negative edges?

    Most books explain the reason the algorithm doesn't work with negative edges as nodes are deleted from the priority queue after the node is arrived at since the algorithm assumes the shortest distance has been found. However since negative edges can reduce the distance, a future shorter distance might be found; but since the node is deleted it cannot be updated. Wouldn't an obvious solution to this be to not delete the node? Why not keep the node in the queue, so if a future shorter distance is found, it can be updated? If I am misunderstanding the problem, what is preventing the algorithm from being used with negative edges?

    There seems to be a lack of good information around this particular Google Apps error code. Has anyone found common environmental information that causes this error? Any kind of solution? Uninstalling/re-installing Google Sync doesn't seem to do anything, I've run Outlook's executable that scans/fixes the PST file etc. Task 'Google Apps - ::user email address:: - Sending' reported error (0x8004010B) : 'Unknown Error 0x8004010B' I found a listing of error codes for the Gdata API but nothing for these types of 'unknown' error codes. Does Google have available a list of common 'unknown' error codes/messages? Thanks in advance.

  • How can I recover Google Chrome extensions, settings after a Linux crash?

    I'm running Google Chrome 5.0.307.11 (Official Build 39572) beta on Debian Linux (lenny) kernel version 2.6.26-2-686. The machine is a laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad X300) and sometimes it freezes, usually shortly after wakeup from sleep. The only cure is the power button, but when I restart my Google Chrome web browser after such an event, Settings on the Options menu revert to defaults. Chrome removes all the extensions from ~/.config/google-chrome/Default/Extensions, leaving me with no extensions. The set of "pages last open" is lost. I'd love to know how to poke at the file system in order to recover any or all of this information, especially my extensions. It is a pain to re-do everything by hand each time. How can I recover Google Chrome's extensions and settings after a Linux crash?

  • How can I synchronize Google contacts and calendar with Palm Centro and Outlook 2000?

    Seeking a free solution to synchronize my calendar and contacts between my Palm Centro and Google contacts and calendar. I currently sync my Palm contacts and calendar with Outlook 2000 on Windows XP. Google Calendar Sync does not support Outlook 2000, and I would rather not pay to upgrade Outlook just for this, as I don't even use Outlook much anymore. I wouldn't mind migrating my calendar and contacts off of it, as long as I can still sync with the Palm. I don't have an unlimited data plan for my Centro, so I can't use a solution that wirelessly syncs directly to Google. I have set up GCALDaemon to sync up my Google calendar with multiple machines running Rainlendar, but I have not yet figured out a way to synchronize that data with the Palm.

    I get the following error trying to send an email to my Google Apps Email at [email protected] from my Postfix server. to=, relay=local, delay=0.09, delays=0.07/0/0/0.02, dsn=5.1.1, status=bounced (unknown user: "admin") Is there a way I can force it to not use the LOCAL relay and treat [email protected] as outside email and not look for a user in the current postfix configuration. I am trying to email the full email address "[email protected]" not only "admin". I have the Google Apps MX record on mydomain.com + SPF record which before was: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all (emailing to [email protected] used to work with that record) But I had to change it to v=spf1 a mx ip4:MY.IP.HERE include:_spf.google.com ~all
