I have an html page were i can fill in some text and send (with javascript) this to an sql-database.
On my pc, everything works fine, but on another one (a french windows), it doesn't save my chars correctly.
french chars like é, è, â,.. were saved as 'É', or something like that.
I googled a lot but still did not found any solution, i'm also not able to reproduce the problem on my own pc..
I am looking for some way to export a .cs file to an .html file for posting on the web but my searches aren't helping much. I remember years ago an IDE called DevC++ could do this for C code, but I'm not sure how I'd do it with C# 4.
Can Visual Studio do this somehow?
What HTML APIs are available for touch screen devices (e.g. tablet PCs)? I notice that GMail's iPad interface (and other mobile interfaces) doesn't scroll down in a normal web browser (pretending to be an iPad via a user-agent hack). How can one access this API on a PC?
I have a school full of tablet PCs that aren't wonderful in tablet mode due to lack of application support, but there looks to be an increasing number of web-based apps that will fill this gap.
I want to use an html parser that does the following in a nice, elegant way
Extract text (this is most important)
Extract links, meta keywords
Reconstruct original doc (optional but nice feature to have)
From my investigation so far jericho seems to fit. Any other open source libraries you guys would recommend?
We have all seen countless instances of forms with a select drop down having one of it's options as "Other" and on choosing that option, we get to see a input text box (which was hidden all along) asking us to type in our input.
Is there a better way to implement this? Are there plugins out there which will let me do this better? Or are standard HTML elements suffice (some setting to a , may be) ?
Hi,
I wonder how to write in html a table with slash splitting the leftup cell? i.e., for the leftup cell in the table, there is a diagonal line splitting it into two parts, with some texts on either sides.
Thanks and regards!

I want to generate PDF by passing HTML contents to a function. I have made use of ItextSharp for this but it does not perform well when it encounters Table and the layout just gets messy.

Hi, I would like to simply ask if it is possible to embed a javafx application inside an html file. And if it is possible then I would like to know how to do this. I am open to using javascript etc. if it is required. Thanks.
I have an html table, inside of a div. The div's height is based on other elements in the div.
How can I have the table's height be equal to its parent div's height?
(table height: 100% won't work because the div's height is not set)
As both hyphen (-) and underscore (_) are valid characters in CSS and HTML identifiers, what are the advantages and disadvantages using one or the other? I prefer writing CSS class names with hyphens (e.g. field-text) and underscores for IDs (e.g. featured_content). Is there a best practice or it's only the matter of taste?

Where could I find HTML website templates geared toward a programmer's website?
I have looked on Google but couldn't find templates specifically for a programmer's website.

I have an html file where i am loading images from an xml file in to it. i am using jtemplate for that. I am getting the images properly.but i want to display them horizontaly those are coming as vertical. Please help me to do that,This is the sample.
I have an html table with many rows. I'm currently grouping several rows inside a div (I know this is ugly) and then show or hide the divs to show or hide the rows inside it. Is there a standard way to do this. Something like rowgroup or multiple tbody instead of this ugly div grouping?
I'm wondering if it's possible (recommended might be the better word) to use sed to convert URLs into HTML hyperlinks in a document. Therefore, it would look for things like:
http://something.com
And replace them with
<a href="http://something.com">http://something.com</a>
Any thoughts? Could the same also be done for email addresses?
I have not had to mess with mailto links much. However I now need to add a link in the body of a mailto if it is possible.
Is there a way to add a link or to change the email opened to an html email vs a text email?
Something like:
<a href="mailto:[email protected]?body=The message's first paragraph.%0A%0aSecond paragraph.%0A%0AThird Paragraph.%0A%0ALink goes here">Link text goes here</a>
I've some html text like
<h1>GreenWhiteRed</h1>
Is it SEO friendly to split this text in something like
<h1><span class="green">Green</span><span class="white">White</span><span class="red">Red</span></h1>
Is the text still ranking well and is it interpreted as a single word 'GreenWhiteRed'?
This might be slightly basic. Sorry for that but I was wondering if it is possible that the second choice font we specify in HTML (using font/font-family) can be of a different font-size.
Eg. Use Lucida Grande, size 13 or Arial, size 14 if that wasn't found
