• Error setting env thru subprocess.call to run a python script on a remote linux machine

  I am running a python script on a windows machine to invoke another python script on a remote linux machine. I am using subprocess.call with ssh to do this, like below: subprocess.call('ssh -i <identify file> username@hostname python <script_on_linux_machine>') and this works fine. However, if I want to set some environment variables, like below: subprocess.call('ssh -i <identify file> username@hostname python <script_on_linux_machine>', env={key1:value1}) it fails. I get the following error: ssh_connect: getnameinfo failed ssh: connect to host <hostname> port 22: Operation not permitted 255 I've tried splitting the ssh commands into list and passing. Didn't help. I've tried to run other 'local'(windows) commands thru subprocess.call() and tried setting the env. It works fine. I've tried to run other commands(such as ls) on the remote linux machine. Again, subprocess.call() works fine, as long as I don't try to set the environment. What am I doing wrong? Would I be able to set the environment for a python script on a remote machine? Any help will be appreciated.

• Struts2 converting empty string parameter to an "int"

  How does one convert an empty string to an int using Struts2. When the application encounters this parameter with no value, like from an empty text field, it throws the following exception. java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: com.XXXXXXXXXXXX.setID([Ljava.lang.String;) Where ID is an integer, and the URL is: Something.action?ID=&other=rawr Is there a way to do this without using an Integer (class)? Do I have to write a type converter?

• MySQL database Int overflow and can't login in.

  I have a MySQL database on my server and I"m pretty sure it's an int over flow on one table with an auto_increment field that's crashing it. I can delete the table, it's not very important, but I can't get into the server. Is there anyway to delete that database from the file system or without logging into MySQL? HELP! THE WORLD IS ENDING!

  hey people , I have a question concerning a button I would like to create which selects my previous selected row. This is what I came up so far but since I'm new with the functionality and such I could definately use some pointers I created a toolbar with a button and behind this button is the following action. -(void)clickRow { selectedRow = [self.tableView indexPathForSelectedRow]; [self.tableView:[self tableView] didSelectRowAtIndexPath:selectedRow]; } in my didSelectRowAtIndexPath there is a rootViewController being pushed rvController = [RootViewController alloc] ...etc So what I would like is my function clickRow to select the row and push the new rootviewcontroller (which has the right info since I'm using a tree ). I tried something like this as well -(void)clickRow { NSDictionary *dictionary = [self.tableDataSource objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; NSArray *Children = [dictionary objectForKey:@"Children"]; rvController = [[RootViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"RootViewController" bundle:[NSBundle mainBundle]]; rvController.CurrentLevel += 1; rvController.CurrentTitle = [dictionary objectForKey:@"Title"]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:rvController animated:YES]; rvController.tableDataSource = Children; [rvController release]; } The last function works a little but a little is not enough;) For instance if I press the middle row or any other it constantly selects the toprow. thnx all for those of you reading and trying to help

• Keyboard blocking my view

  I have a UIView with another UIView inside it. On the inside UIView there is a textbox which I want to fill in. When I try to fill it in the keyboard blocks my view: The UIViewController has the following containerView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:[UIScreen mainScreen].bounds]; self.view=containerView; //The apropriate releases etc are further on... When I touch it, the keyboard comes up as expected, but blocks the textbox I'm trying to fill in. How can I force the view to slide up? The front view OptionsFront * fv = [[OptionsFront alloc] initWithFrame:[UIScreen mainScreen].bounds]; [containerView addSubview:frontView]; In the front view is a subview CGRect bounds = CGRectMake(0.0f, 210.0f, 280.0f, 130.0f); sv = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:bounds]; [self addSubview:sv]; //added to frontView In sv is a textbox near the botton: rect = CGRectMake(70.0f, 20.0f, 100.0f, 27.0f); cf = [self createTextField_Rounded:rect holder:@"+ve"]; [sv addSubview:cf]; So cf happens to be near the bottom of the page. I expected that when I select it, the whole display would move up, but the keyboard just moves up and blocks it. What can I do? • input file cannot be found

  I am just messing around with reading input files with java until I got stumped at the most basic of steps... finding the input file! The input.txt file is in the same directory as my class file that is calling it yet eclipse still gives me an error that it cant be found: "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problem: Unhandled exception type FileNotFoundException" My code: package pa; import java.util.Scanner; public class Project { public static void main(String[] args) { java.io.File file = new java.io.File("input.txt"); System.out.println(file.getAbsolutePath()); Scanner input = new Scanner(file); } } input.txt is in the same package, same folder and everything. • How do I pass the currently logged in user's credentials to a web service using Integrated Windows A

  I am having a frustrating time trying to do something with Perl that would take a couple of lines of code in C#, namely to call a web service on a Windows server that requires Integrated Windows Authentication. The most likely candidate I've found for success is a module called LWP::Authen::Ntlm, but all the examples I've googled require you to explicitly supply username, password and domain. I don't want to do that - I just want the request to use the credentials of the currently logged in user, a la CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials in .NET. Have any of you Perl gurus out there ever had to do this? Thanks.

• ASP.NET WebMethod Returns JSON wrapped in quotes

  Hi, I have an asp.net page with a WebMethod on it to pass JSON back to my javascript. Bellow is the web method: [WebMethod] public static string getData(Dictionary<string, string> d) { string response = "{ \"firstname\": \"John\", \"lastname\": \"Smith\" }"; return response; } When this is returned to the client it is formatted as follows: { \"d\": \"{ \"firstname\": \"John\", \"lastname\": \"Smith\" }\" } The problem is the double quotes wrapping everything under 'd'. Is there something I've missed in the web method or some other means of returning the data without the quotes? I don't really want to be stripping it out on the client everytime. Also I've seen other articles where this doesn't happen. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

  I am confused as to when I can use the DOM properties and when I could use the Jquery methods on a Jquery object. Say, I use a selector var $elemSel = $('#myDiv').find('[id *= \'select\']') At this point, $elemSel is a jquery object which I understand to be a wrapper around the array of DOM elements. I could get a reference to the DOM elements by iterating through the $elemSel object/array (Correct?) My questions: 1. Is there a way to convert this $elemSel into a non JQuery regular array of DOM elements? 2. Can I combine DOM properties and JQuery methods at the same time (something like this) $elemSel.children('td').nodeName (nodeName is DOM related, children is JQuery related) EDIT: What's wrong with this? $elemSel.get(0).is(':checked') EDIT 2: Thanks for the responses. I understand now that I can use the get(0) to get a DOM element. Additional questions: How would I convert a DOM element to a JQuery object? If I assign "this" to a variable, is that new var DOM or JQuery? If it's JQuery, how can I convert this to a DOM element? (Since I can't use get(0)) var $elemTd = $(this); When I do a assignment like the one above, I have seen some code samples not include the $ sign for the variable name. Why?   I'm trying to come up with a rule on our F5 to direct traffic to our Tomcat server appropriately. We are deploying separate WAR files for each RESTful service. So, we would like to have the following URIs as an example: /services/quiz/01234/ /services/user/54321/ Where 'quiz' and 'user' are quiz.war and user.war respectively. We want to direct the traffic at the F5 level for /services/ to be the root and the rest of the URI to be directed to the Tomcat server. How do we accomplish this? Edit The browser url for a resource would look like http://www.domain.com/services/quiz/01234/ I want BIG-IP to send the request to tomcat as http://tomcatserver:8080/quiz/01234/ so basically remove /services and append everything after it to the tomcat domain. I would think this would be an easy regex, right?
