  • Scriptable testing/debugging HTTP/HTTPS cookies and redirects

    I need to setup some automated testing of HTTP requests, to check cookies are doing the right thing, with (manual) debugging when there is a problem. So far I've been muddling along with Firebug, but it's quite a bit of effort using that, and I would prefer some form of scriptable tool, both to make it easier for me and to allow an automated regression test. Any recommendations?

    I've just downloaded OpenCV's trunk and now I'm trying to build it with MinGW. I read the manual and get .dll's compiled, but that's all - "interfaces/python" contains only some .i and .cmake files. How can I really get new python interface? Where I can find new cv.pyd/libcv.dll.a (because a compiled version from official site crashes sometimes and I saw this bug as "fixed" in Trac)?

  • Generate Makefile from Xcode Project for port of project to other UNIX systems

    (This was asked before but the answers were not conclusive) While I love development using Xcode (3.2.1), I have the need to port some projects to other UNIX systems, and even Windows. The code is all C++ but fairly complex. I'm looking for a way to automated / semi-automated generation of equivalent Makefiles out of my Xcode projects, after getting tired to do this by manual trial-and-error. Thanks for any hints.   • Count words like Microsoft Word does

    I need to count words in a string using PHP or Javascript (preferably PHP). The problem is that the counting needs to be the same as it works in Microsoft Word, because that is where the people assemble their original texts in so that is their reference frame. PHP has a word counting function (http://php.net/manual/en/function.str-word-count.php) but that is not 100% the same as far as I know. Any pointers?

  • Unit Test json output in Zend Framework

    The Zend Tutorial lists many assertions to check the output generated by a request. http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.test.phpunit.html But they all seem to assume that the output is html. I need to test json output instead. Are there any assertions helpful to check json, or is there at least a generic way to make assertions against the output? Anything that doesn't rely on the request outputting html?

    HI I'd like to know how to check out the speed of a file being uploaded in real time using the curl library in c++. This is what I have written: curl_easy_getinfo(curl,CURLINFO_SPEED_UPLOAD,&c); But the manual says that it shows average speed, but even this doesn't seem to work with me, because I can only see a 0. There is one more thing: How to set an upload limit that works, because if I write this: curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_MAX_SEND_SPEED_LARGE, 100); I get an error 502 message plis help

    This question was inspired by what-features-would-you-like-to-see-added-to-c. anBasically, C++ is a great general-purpose language. But perhaps too general and feature-rich... multiple inheritance, operator overloading, manual memory management, templates, smart pointers, virtual destructors, legacy frameworks (think MFC), and I could just go on. Is there any one feature / aspect of C++ that you would like taken away, to make our lives easier as C++ developers? One feature per answer, please.

    I'm trying to do a manual jQuery AJAX request the following way: $("#user_plan_id").change(function() { $("#plan_container").load('/plans/' + this.value); }); I have the "rails.js" file included in my header, and a "<%= csrf_meta_tag %". I see from my log that the request IS getting to the server (although without the authenticity token... does rails.js even do this?), but the response is a 302 (Found) rather than 200, and no data actually gets rendered. Any ideas?

Of course that's because I need to recompile them in order to test them through my local Apache web server. I would like to get around this manual process by employing some automatic means of compiling them on save, or on build through Eclipse, or something like that. So far, I've been using Export to Unicode text function of Excel, and parsing the resulting (tab-delimited) file, but I'd like to eliminate the manual step.
