    In my Android appliction in eclipse I get the following error: UNEXPECTED TOP-LEVEL EXCEPTION: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: already added: Lorg/xmlpull/v1/XmlPullParser; .... Conversion to Dalvik format failed with error 1 this error only appears if I add a specific external Jar to my project. I search long time to the right solution but all possible solutions don't work. I even tried to change to android 1.6 instead of 1.5(current version I use)

    Scenario: the size of various files are stored in a database as bytes. What's the best way to format this size info to kilobytes, megabytes and gigabytes? For instance I have an MP3 that Ubuntu displays as "5.2 MB (5445632 bytes)". How would I display this on a web page as "5.2 MB" AND have files less than one megabyte display as KB and files one gigabyte and above display as GB?

This all file types are easily download if any one have url. So what is the better way to prevent the download of the file.     Ok, I'm using an ICS parser utility to parse google calendar ICS files. It works great, except google is feeding me the times of the events at UCT.. so I need to subtract 5 hours now, and 6 hours when daylight savings happens. To get the start time I'm using: $timestart = date("g:iA",strtotime(substr($event['DTSTART'], 9, -3))); //$event['DTSTART'] feeds me back the date in ICS format: 20100406T200000Z So any suggestions how to handle timezone and daylight savings time?     I'm using carrier-specific addresses to send email to SMS, which works fine. In reference to the answer of this question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1179854/limitations-on-sms-messages-sent-using-free-email-sms-gateways is there any websites or other resources that list the format that is delivered for each carrier. ATT for example delivers the SMS with some added formatting that is not present with T-Mobile. I realize this is not a coding question, but since I can only see this question arising for someone that is creating email to SMS specific applications, it seems relevant to SO.

    I am trying to call Python's time.strftime() function using a Unicode format string: u'%d\u200f/%m\u200f/%Y %H:%M:%S' (\u200f is the "Right-To-Left Mark" (RLM).) However, I am getting an exception that the RLM character cannot be encoded into ascii: UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\u200f' in position 2: ordinal not in range(128) I have tried searching for an alternative but could not find a reasonable one. Is there an alternative to this function, or a way to make it work with Unicode characters?

    Hey, I currently have a Currency Format method: private string FormatCurrency(double moneyIn) { CultureInfo ci = new CultureInfo("en-GB"); return moneyIn.ToString("c", ci); } I'm looking to adapt this to shorten the string as the currency get's larger. Kind of like how stack overflow goes from 999 to 1k instead of 1000 (or 1.6k instead of 1555). I imagine that this is a relativly easy task however is there any built in function for it or would you just have to manually manipulate the string? Thanks
