    I'd like to know if it is possible in Java to nest Enums. Here what i'd like to be able to do : Have an enum Species made of CAT and DOG wich would grant me access to sub enums of the available CAT and DOG breeds. For example, i'd like to be able to test if wether a CAT or a DOG and if an animal is a PERSAN CAT or a PITBULL DOG. CAT and DOG breeds must be distinct enums ,i.e a CatBreeds enum and a DogBreeds enum. Here is an example of access pattern i'd like to use : Species : Species.CAT Species.DOG Breeds : Species.CAT.breeds.PERSAN Species.DOG.breeds.PITBULL

    I've programmatically created a UITabBarController that is loaded in my App Delegate like this: - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application { tabBarController = [[UITabBarController alloc] init]; myTableViewController = [[MyTableViewController alloc] init]; UINavigationController *tableNavController = [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:myTableViewController] autorelease]; myTableViewController.title = @"Tab 1"; [myTableViewController release]; mySecondTableViewController = [[MySecondTableViewController alloc] init]; UINavigationController *table2NavController = [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:mySecondTableViewController] autorelease]; mySecondTableViewController.title = @"Tab 2"; [mySecondTableViewController release]; tabBarController.viewControllers = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:tableNavController, table2NavController, nil]; [window addSubview:tabBarController.view]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; } Now the issue I have is that I can get into the views no problem, but when I try and click onto any item in the Table View, I can't get a secondary table view to appear in any tab. The tabs work absolutely fine, just the secondary views. I'm using the code below in my myTableViewController to run when selecting a specific row (the code reaches the HELP line, and crashes)... - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { NSUInteger row = [indexPath row]; // this gets the correct view controller from a list of controllers SecondaryViewController *svc = [self.controllers objectAtIndex:row]; /*** HELP NEEDED WITH THIS LINE ***/ [self.navigationController pushViewController:svc animated:YES]; } Simply put, I'm trying to switch views to the new view controller whilst keeping the tabs available and using the navigation to go back and forth (like in the iTunes App).   • Ellipsize not working for textView inside custom listView

    Hi, I have a listView with custom objects defined by the xml-layout below. I want the textView with id "info" to be ellipsized on a single line, and I've tried using the attributes android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="end" without success. If I set the layout_width to a fixed width like e.g. android:layout_width="100px" the text is truncated fine. But for portability reasons this is not an acceptable solution. '+/">' ... but if someone types in äöü, it doesnt show the letters - with rawurlencode thats possible, but I want to remove the blank spaces with pregreplace and replace it with + is that possible?

  • MSBuild fails, but building inside Visual Studio works fine

    C#, .NET 2.0 I have an ASP.NET website in a solution, with 2 other projects (used as library references). When I build (debug or release) in Visual Studio, everything works fine. However, building with MSBuild fails. This build had been working (it's actually invoked via a nAnt task). The only thing that has changed is that I have a new user control whose Type I am referencing in my code behind. The offending code is in my ASPX code behind. MessageAlert is the UserControl: MessageAlert userControl = this.LoadControl("~/UserControls/MessageAlert.ascx") as MessageAlert; userControl.UserMessage = message; this.UserMessages.Controls.Add(userControl); In order to get Visual Studio to recognize the type 'MessageAlert' I had to: 1) Set the ClassName="MessageAlert" in the @Control markup at the top of the user control (because using the auto-generated UserControls_MessageAlert wasn't working either) 2) Register the user control in the markup of my ASPX, using an @Register 3) Add a "using ASP" to the top of my code behind After those steps, I could successfully reference the MessageAlert type in my codebehind from visual studio. But from MSBuild I get "The type or namespace name 'MessageAlert' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) " The MSBuild execution is very simple - it points the the very same solution file and sets the configuration property to release. It seems, based on the # of steps I had to go through to get Type references to MessageAlert in Visual Studio, that there is something missing in the MSBuild process. But what? Doesn't Visual Studio in fact invoke MSBuild behind the scenes? Is there a better way to reference a UserControl type in the code behind of an ASPX? EDIT: To clarify, the MessageAlert user control is not in the other referenced assemblies/projects. I mentioned them because, together with the website, the compose the Solution file, which is the same sln file being built by MS Build.

On the 3.0 CLR it's a NullReferenceException; on the Silverlight CLR it's the infamous Operation could destabilize the runtime.

    I want to create a display group generated from foreach() clause output. I can't seem to get the syntax correct. Here's the business logic: for each category row find the associated fees output the category description as a label and the fees as radio buttons then create a display group with the fees as the group elements and the category description as the legend.     Hi there, I have a page where a user can upload a file along with some other input. Because I wanted this to be AJAX-like, I resorted to using an iFrame to accomplish this. After the file is uploaded and an iFrame is loaded with a response page, I need to update a DIV outside of the iFrame with an AJAX call. The reason for separate updates, is that the result of the outside DIV depends on the input that the user provided with the file input. Can this be done? Am I approaching this the wrong way?   • Apache FOP - Table top and bottom borders missing pagebreak inside table

    I am using Apache FOP to generate a PDF from a XLS FO document. I have created a test XLS FO document that contains a table with collapsed borders that with several tall rows. One of the rows starts on one page and ends on the next and this works as expected. The problem is that the bottom border of the table on the first page is missing and the top border of the table on the second pages is also missing. This works, but I need to use these functions for other things than fixing this issue so what I need to know is if there is an other sollution to the problem?

Greatly appreciated if someone can shed some light on this.

    I have two projects in my Solution. One implements my business logic and has defined entity model of entity framework. When I want to work with classes defined within this project from another project I have some problems in runtime. Actually, the most concerning thing is why I can not instantiate my, so called, TicketEntities(ObjectContext) object from other projects? when I catch following exception: The specified named connection is either not found in the configuration, not intended to be used with the EntityClient provider, or not valid. I found out it's brake at: public partial class TicketEntities : global::System.Data.Objects.ObjectContext { public TicketEntities() : base("name=TicketEntities", "TicketEntities") { this.OnContextCreated(); } with exception: Unable to load the specified metadata resource. Just to remind you everthing works fine from orginal project.

Here's an example: a:hover {background: #555;} I tried to do something like this: a:hover img {background: none;} though I knew it's not going to do anything. I'll try to simplify the code to show only the idea. I have a objects collection which looks like this: Main object contains a list of innerObjects. Every innerObject contains a list of objects that contain some strings. mainObject listItem innerListItem string string innerListItem string string listItem innerListItem string string I set a mainObject as a itemsSource to the ListView. This listView has a ItemTemplate. This ItemTemplate contains some buttons and inner ListView. Inner ListView also has the item template that contains a button (deleteButton). Pressing this deleteButton I want to delete items (innerListItem) for which this button was created. The idea is to find the innerlistview and use it instead of ConditionsList, however I don't know if it will work. If anyone have some samples concerning using listview in listview or how to operate the button in a different way please help me

  • Using UpdatePanels inside of a ListView

    Hey everyone, I'm wondering if anybody has run across something similar to this before. Some quick pseudo-code to get started: <UpdatePanel> <ContentTemplate> <ListView> <LayoutTemplate> <UpdatePanel> <ContentTemplate> <ItemPlaceholder /> </ContentTemplate> </UpdatePanel> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> Some stuff goes here </ItemTemplate> </ListView> </ContentTemplate> </UpdatePanel> The main thing to take away from the above is that I have an update panel which contains a listview; and then each of the listview items is contained in its own update panel. What I'm trying to do is when one of the ListView update panels triggers a postback, I'd want to also update one of the other ListView item update panels. A practical implementation would be a quick survey, that has 3 questions. We'd only ask Question #3 if the user answered "Yes" to Question #1. When the page loads; it hides Q3 because it doesn't see "Yes" for Q1. When the user clicks "Yes" to Q1, I want to refresh the Q3 update panel so it now displays. I've got it working now by refreshing the outer UpdatePanel on postback, but this seems inefficient because I don't need to re-evaluate every item; just the ones that would be affected by the prerequisite i detailed out above. I've been grappling with setting up triggers, but i keep coming up empty mainly because I can't figure out a way to set up a trigger for the updatepanel for Q3 based off of the postback triggered by Q1. Any suggestions out there? Am I barking up the wrong tree?

  • Override HTML Anchor Link Target inside iFrame

    We're calling an ad from an ad network to dynamically load an add using JavaScript. It makes an iFrame with the actual ad in it, a picture wrapped in an anchor tag with the target=_top. Is there a way from our page to change its target and capture the attempt to change our page. Also, our page is loaded in a C#.net program using a WebControl (I forget the actual control being used since it was a while ago). We can change the C# code but we really prefer not to because then we'd have to test it and everything. Is there a way to do this with JavaScript or JQuery?

    I have string: ABCDEFGHIJK And I have two arrays of positions in that string that I want to insert different things to. Array ( [0] => 0 [1] => 5 ) Array ( [0] => 7 [1] => 9 ) Which if I decided to add the # character and the = character, it'd produce: #ABCDE=FG#HI=JK Is there any way I can do this without a complicated set of substr? Also, # and = need to be variables that can be of any length, not just one character.

  • ajax : multiple ajax calls for included js files inside jsp fragment

    I am including a jsp fragment by making an ajax call. Now this jsp frag happened to include several js files. When the ajax request is completed, it is loading each of the included js files (on fragments) using a separate get request. (I checked this using firebug.) Now is this the correct behavior (making separate get calls) or am I missing something. Is there a way to include the js files and send the response in one go ?

I would like to make the third column editable, and embedded NumericUpDown control for the Quantity column. Is it possible? And when the Quantity is updated via the NumericUpDown control, the Total Price is also being updated based on Total Price = Quantity * Price Per Unit. is the above achievable? any code samples would be greatly appreciated.
