  • Problem with tcp server when converting to service

    Hello lads, I'm working on monitoring some object (cdr-packets). I'm setting up a tcp-server and am listening on port 50043 for the packages. The program as a console application is working just fine, my server is working like it should and i'm receiving the packets. When i try to use it as a service, i cannot seem to get a client connected to my server. Is there something i need to change to deploy this as a service? I am trying to do the following: When a user types http://www.example.com/csc/alabama/ I need to pull info from http://www.example.com/csc/index.php?state=alabama I thought it should be this Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^csc/([^/]*)$ /csc/index.php?state=$1 [L] I keep getting a 404 error. On a side note, I would like to be able to do this with a generic sub-directory, so that csc could be abc or anything else but this is not the priority.

  • android playback suddenly stopping...

    I have an app that is streaming audio content and sometimes it just stops all of the suddent. the logcat windows shows -- AudioHardware pcm playback is going to standby and that's it. I saw on another thread (pun intended) that someone was saying it was because he was using too many threads. Could that really be causing this? Could i give the audio thread higher priority? Anyway to prevent the audio hardware pcm from going to standby?

    i'm often getting multiple errors showing up for an individual property, when I'd like them to be prioritized, as in, if Required is satisfied, check StringLength, but if Required fails, show that message only.     I'm trying to figure out the technicalities of scheduling in Linux. What I can't figure out is what happens with those entries in the run_queue where there are no running processes. In the run_queue we have a bitmap, a counter, and the array of lists themselves. For a list that is empty because there are no running tasks with its priority, what do the next and prev pointers point to?

But, why would you need to maintain an event cahce at all - Isn't this the same as what epoll is supposed to be doing? Is it to avoid making multiple epoll_wait calls which might be slower than managing the events in user space? Is it to implement a custom 'priority' scheme over the cached events?
