  • JQUERY POST, UI to show if status is "saving" "still saving" "error" "complete"

    I have a JQUERY Post call which is posting critical data to the server. Which if isn't posted successfully, results in a huge loss of important data. I have a save banner UI show on the page before the JQUERY POST, after the JQUERY Post it has the Save Banner go away. I'd like an inbetween state, where if the save is taking longer than 1 second, it updates from "saving" to "saving..." but if it doesn't save within 4 seconds, it says "error, try again" something like that. Any ideas on how to accomplish this with JQUERY?

  • What is the status of ZendX (Specifically ZendX_JQuery) ?

    I need to have an autocomplete functionality using jquery, and I've encountered ZendX_JQuery which has such functionality available. However, I've noticed that the entire ZendX_JQuery classes, are a bit old (the default jquery version is 1.3.2, and jquery ui 1.7.1). (see http://framework.zend.com/svn/framework/extras/branches/release-1.10/library/ZendX/JQuery.php) Should I use that instead of my own written code to include the jquery library and etc., and should I use the ZendX_JQuery_View_Helper_AutoComplete class for such functionality ?

    Hey all, I'm working on a project and I'm wondering how to get a type of window common in Windows's wireless controls, as shown in the screen shot below: http://cybernetnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/windows-7-wireless.jpg There's no close or maximize buttons, but the border is still present. My tools include Expression Blend 3 and Visual Studio 08. I was also wondering what the font used on these are, as it doesn't seem to be the normal Tahoma found in Office 7. Thanks, Mason

  • How do I make the launcher progress bar work with my application?

    Background Research I am attempting to update the progress bar within the Unity launcher for a simple python/Gtk application created using Quickly called test; however, following the instructions in this video, I have not been able to successfully update the progress bar in the Unity launcher. In the Unity Integration video, Quickly was not used, so the way that the application was structured was slightly different, and the code used in the video does not seem to function properly without modification in a default Quickly ubuntu-application template application. Screenshots Here is a screenshot of the application icon as it is currently displayed in the Unity Launcher. Here is a screenshot of the kind of Unity launcher progress bar functionality that I would like (overlayed on mail icon: wiki.ubuntu.com). Problem Investigation I believe that the problem is that I am not properly getting a reference to the application's main window, however, I am not sure how to properly fix this problem. I also believe that the line: self.launcher = Unity.LauncherEntry.get_for_desktop_id("test.destkop") may be another source of complication because Quickly creates .desktop.in files rather than ordinary .desktop files, so I am not sure if that might be causing issues as well. Perhaps, another source of the issue is that I do not entirely understand the difference between .desktop and .desktop.in files. Does it possibly make sense to make a copy of the test.desktop.in file and rename it test.desktop, and place it in /usr/share/applications in order for get_for_desktop_id("test,desktop") to reference the correct .desktop file?   • Does jQuery have a plugin to display a "message bar" like the Twitter "wrong password" bar at the to

    Twitter will pop down a message bar at the top of the screen say "Wrong password" and after 10 seconds, it will slide up and disappear. Chrome also shows "Do you want to save the password" message box using such a way. Does jQuery have a plug in to do that already? Does it also work in IE 6? Because usually, the display of relative to the viewport (using position: fixed) will not work on IE 6. thanks.

    I am drawing a simple bar diagram in MATLAB. The problem is, that the value at x = 0 lets the y-axis disappear partially. Is there a way to bring the y-axis to the front instead of hiding between the y-value for x=0? Is there any option I can make sure the y-axis is always in the front?

EDIT: Alsciende: I can agree that #1 and #8 are too vague. Therefore I remove #8 and try to clarify #1: With "Pseudocode for the skeleton", I basically mean could this be done entirely using JavaScript timers and how would you set up the various timers? Library for Google Analytics: Which libraries support the Google Analytics API and can produce neat charts. Preferably HTML5, JavaScript-based like Protovis. Library for Twitter: Which libraries would you recommend for fetching twitter search results and latest tweets from profiles. Libraries for Typography/CSS/HTML5: Trying to learn some HTML5 etc. in the process, please advice on any other typography/css libraries that could be of relevance. Scraping/Parsing? I'll give you a concrete example: Trying to fetch today's menu from this restaurant's website, how would you go about? (it's in Swedish - but you get the point - sorry ;) ) Real-time stats?     I'm running an ANT task in background and checking in 60 second intervals whether that task is complete or not. If it is not, every 60 seconds, a message should be displayed on screen - "Deploy process is still running. $slept seconds since deploy started", where $slept is 60, 120, 180 n so on. There's a limit of 1200 seconds, after which the script will show the log via 'ant log' command and ask the user whether to continue. If the user chooses to continue, 300 seconds are added to the time limit and the process repeats.     Currently the left bar button default value is the title of the view that loaded the current one, in other words the view to be shown when the button is pressed (back button). I want to change the text shown on the button to something else. I tried putting the following line of code in the view controller's viewDidLoad method but it doesn't seem to work. self.navigationItem.leftBarButtonItem.title = @"Log Out"; What should I do?
