  • Printing All Entries in A PHP Table

    I'm trying to insert a php excerpt with SQL (I understand this is outdated, but am trying to grasp the syntax first) into my HTML page, and I've got the following table: ID Name Element1 Element2 0 John John's 1st John's 2nd 1 Bill Bill's 1st Bill's 2nd 2 Steve Steven's 1st Steve's 2nd I'm trying to get the for loop that will essentially print out the following in my html page Name: Name where ID=0 Element1: Element1 where ID=0 Element2: Element2 where ID=0 Name: Name where ID=1 Element1: Element1 where ID=1 Element2: Element2 where ID=1 and so forth. Basically, I am trying to make this process automated so that whenever a new record is added into the table, the HTML page will automatically update with a new "profile". Thank you for your help!

  • Adding methods to an Objective C class interface is optional?

    Coming from a C++ background, one thing that confuses me about Objective C is the fact that you can add a method to a class without actually specifying it in the class interface. So I had a barrage of questions: Why would someone choose to not add the method in the class interface? Is it simply because of visibility? Methods without a declaration in the interface are private? Is declaring methods in a class interface just optional? Is it different for overriding a base class' method?

  • IQueryable Where fails to work

    I am using N-Hibernate and have a class/table called Boxers I also have a prospect table which tells use if the boxer is a prospect. (this table is one column of just the boxersID) So i Want to get all boxers that are prospects (meaning all boxers that have there id in the prospects table) Public static IQueryable<Boxer> IsProspect(this IQueryable<Boxer> query) { return query.Where(x => x.Prospect != null); } this doesnt trim down my list of boxers to the boxers that are prospect... yet if i debug and look at any boxer it will have True or false next to each one correctly... Why isnt the where clause correctly trimming down the list?

  • WCF - call same service from client and server side

    I have a simple WCF service that I call server side from code behind via a service reference. It's used for validation and works and was automatically setup by Visual Studio and is using SOAP I think because the binding is wsHttpBinding. I want to use the same WCF service, but call it client side from jQuery using ajax(). I'm trying to implement it by way of these instructions. But if I make the changes to get the client side call working, I have to add the decoration below which I think will break what works on the server side and also change the system.serviceModel section in web.config. [WebInvoke(Method = "POST", BodyStyle = WebMessageBodyStyle.Wrapped, ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json, RequestFormat= WebMessageFormat.Json) ] How do I have a WCF service that can be called both from the server-side and client side (jQuery/ajax)?

    Hi... I am sending an Ajax Request using jQuery. What happens is that I am getting an "405 Method Not Allowed" Error. I am just posting a form, which would get the detail from the form and insert it into the DB. Just the usual stuff.I am using WEBrick that comes as default with the rails package. Can somebody please tell me how to fix this.   • Creating a ComboBox with one or more separator items?

    I'm using Delphi7 and I'd like to have a ComboBox with separator items (Just like in popup menus). I've seen this beautifully implemented in Mozilla Sunbird (I know, it's not Delphi...) the following way: The separator item is a simple gray line drawn in the center of the item If you hover over the separator with the mouse, the selection doesn't appear If the user clicks the separator, it's not selected either AND the combobox doesn't closeup. No. 1 could be implemented using DrawItem. I could live without No. 2 because I have no idea about that. For No. 3 I'm asking for your help. I've figured out that straight after closing up a CBN_CLOSEUP message is sent to the combobox. I thought about hooking the window proc and if CBN_CLOSEUP is sent to a certain combobox then countering it. But I'm unsure if this is the best solution, or maybe there are other, more elegant ways? Whatever the solution is, I'd like to have a standard ComboBox which supports WinXP/Vista/7 theming properly. Thanks!     Eclipse has a feature "Add unimplemented methods" that adds the unimplemented methods for a class (such as when implementing an interface). When Eclipse adds the methods it adds them in alphabetical order. Is there a way to configure Eclipse to add them in the order that they appear in the interface (or abstract class)?

  • Will php code exit after echo for ajax?

    I am running a typical php-engined ajax webpage. I use echo to return a html string from the php code. My question is, if I have some other code after the echo, will those code get executed? Or echo behaves similar to exit, which immediately return and stop running the php code? Thanks.

  • VS 2008 and F# Feb CTP - Can't debug

    I have downloaded the VS2008 integrated shell, and the F# Feb CTP and I have the F# environment working just fine. The problem comes when I try to debug. Nothing happens at all. The output window says ------ Build started: Project: ConsoleApplication1, Configuration: Debug Any CPU ------ ========== Build: 1 succeeded or up-to-date, 0 failed, 0 skipped ========== and none of my breakpoints are hit. My "program" is as simple as can be #light open System printfn "Hello World" Console.ReadKey(true) with breakpoints on the printfn and Console lines. The things I've read seem to suggest that debugging would work with this setup, and there is a debugger folder under common7/packages with files in it. Thanks for any help. EDIT: I'm on Win7 64 bit

  • Actionscript NetStream.play drops port in relative URLs

    Hi, the current page my flash application is running from is http://localhost:3000/. I'm trying to play a video using NetStream.play(relativeURL) by using a relative URL (e.g. "myVideo.flv"), but when I look at the actual request made by actionscript, it's dropping the port number. (e.g. http://localhost/myVideo.flv). Is there something I can do on the flash side to make this work? Is anyone else having this problem?

  • Load Testing Java Web Application - find TPS / Avg transaction response time

    I would like to build my own load testing tool in Java with the goal of being able to load test a web application I am building throughout the development cycle. The web application will be receiving server to server HTTP Post requests and I would like to find its starting transaction per second (TPS) capacity along with the avgerage response time. The Post request and response messages will be in XML (I dont' think that's really applicable though :) ). I have written a very simple Java app to send transactions and count how many transactions it was able to send in one second (1000 ms) however I don't think this is the best way to load test. Really what I want is to send any number of transactions at exactly the same time - i.e. 10, 50, 100 etc. Any help would be appreciated!     Hi, I found that code somewhere and I find it quite useful but I would like to find a way to make it work so it capture only the given window target. Maybe with a processID or Window Name. Even if that window is not active. I do not want to make that window active but want to get a screen capture like if I was doing Alt+PrintScreen on it.   • ASP.NET Compiles on page load, but not on Ctrl+Shift+B

    during debug in cassini the code runs fine, but when I explictly build it, the compile breaks on an object saying it can't find the reference. During a breakpoint shows the proper reference to the object, and I can view the debug intellisense. The code itself is simple using CFTW.Controls; ... controls_LatestPresentations c = LoadControl("~/controls/LatestPresentations.ascx") as controls_LatestPresentations; c.loadContent(); return RenderControl(c); The control is a simple user control, with the namespace CFTW.Controls. The calling code is in a webcontrol, which lives in the same folder. I even tried adding the calling code to the same namespace.

    I am running a website over Windows 2003 Server and IIS6 and I am having problems to write or delete files in some temporary folder obtaining this kind of warmings: Warning: unlink(C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\cakephp\app\tmp\cache\persistent\myapp_cake_core_cake_): Permission denied in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\cakephp\lib\Cake\Cache\Engine\FileEngine.php on line 254 I went to the tmp directory and at the properties I gave the IIS User the following permissions: Read & Execute List folder Contents Read And it still showing the same warnings. When I am on the properties window, if I click on Advanced the IIS username appears twice. One with Allow type and read & execute permissions and the other with Deny type and Special permissions. My question is: Should I give this user not only the Read & Execute permissions but also this ones?: Create Attributes Create Files/ Write Data Create Folders/ Append Data Delete Subfolders and Files Delete They are available to select if I Click on the edit button over the username. Wouldn't I be opening a security hole if I do this? Otherwise, how can I do to read and delete the files my website uses? Thanks.

  • Dll only loads correctly via LoadLibrary?

    I'm trying to use dbghelp.dll. If I set it up in the VS2008 properties to point to the correct library and header file, and put dbghelp.dll in the same directory as the executable, one of the functions in the dll fails. If I LoadLibrary the dll, everything that function works. I've looked at the header that gets included via the VS option, and the right one is being pulled in. The correct lib is being pulled in (checked via /verbose option), and depends.exe shows the correct dll is loaded. Does anyone know why I can't get this to work? I'll probably just go with LoadLibrary, but I'm genuinely stumped on this one. EDIT: SymfromAddr fails with an "error 87", whatever that is. If I load the dll via LoadLibrary, it works.

  • Why is 'volatile' parasitic in C++?

    Consider the following code: int main() { int i; volatile int* p = &i; int *v = p; return 0; } This gives an error in g++: $ g++ -o volatile volatile.cpp volatile.cpp: In function ‘int main()’: volatile.cpp:6: error: invalid conversion from ‘volatile int*’ to ‘int*’ My intention was that I want to make p volatile. However, once I've read the value of p, I don't care if accessing v is volatile. Why is it required that v be declared volatile? This is hypothetical code of course. In a real situation you could imagine that p points to a memory location, but is modified externally and I want v to point to the location that p pointed to at the time of v = p, even if later p is externally modified. Therefore p is volatile, but v is not. By the way I am interested in the behaviour both when this is considered C and C++, but in C this only generates a warning, not an error.
