  • Flex, can't custom style the tooltip

    - by touB
I'm having trouble changing the font size of my TextInput tooltip. The text input looks like this: <s:TextInput id="first" toolTip="Hello"/> then I create a style like this: <fx:Style> @namespace s "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"; @namespace mx "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo"; mx|ToolTip { fontSize: 24; } </fx:Style> but absolutely nothing happens. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

  • Reject (Hard 404) ASP.NET MVC-style URLs

    - by James D
Hi, ASP.NET MVC web app that exposes "friendly" URLs: http://somesite.com/friendlyurl ...which are rewritten (not redirected) to ASP.NET MVC-style URLs under the hood: http://somesite.com/Controller/Action The user never actually sees any ASP.NET MVC style URLS. If he requests one, we hard 404 it. ASP.NET MVC is (in this app) an implementation detail, not a fundamental interface. My question: how do you examine an arbitrary incoming URL and determine whether or not that URL matches a defined ASP.NET MVC path? For extra credit: how do you do it from inside an ASP.NET-style IHttpModule, where you're getting invoked upstream from the ASP.NET MVC runtime? Thanks!

  • Changing the style attribute of a button according to its state

    - by LambergaR
I know you can change buttons background by creating a simple XML file, like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" > <item android:state_window_focused="false" android:state_enabled="true" android:drawable="@drawable/button_normal" /> <!-- ... --> </selection> I was wondering if it is possible to use a similar approach to change the style attribute of an element using the same (or similar) technique. Or, if that is not possible, how can the style attribute be changed during runtime (there is no such thing as button.setStyle(R.style.button)).

  • Programmatically Detecting Valid Style Properties In Flex

    - by Joshua
If I want to know if an object has a particular property I can code this: if (SomeObject.hasOwnProperty('xyz')) { // some code } But some styles masquerade as properties at design time such as Button.color... How can I know what style properties are valid at runtime? ie: What is the equivalent of hasOwnProperty for getStyle/setStyle? In other words how can I know if an object HAS A particular style variable... When I write: MyButton.setStyle('qsfgaeWT','-33'); It won't accomplish anything, but it also doesn't error. How can I know programmatically that 'qsfgaeWT' is NOT a valid style of 'Button'??

  • Get a CSS value from external style sheet with Javascript/jQuery

    - by Acorn
Is it possible to get a value from the external CSS of a page if the element that the style refers to has not been generated yet? (the element is to be generated dynamically). The jQuery method I've seen is $('element').css('property','value');, but this relies on element being on the page. Is there a way of finding out what the property is set to within the CSS rather than the computed style of an element? Will I have to do something ugly like add a hidden copy of the element to my page so that I can access its style attributes?

  • Cookie value to define style on page load

    - by zac
I am using the scripts from here http://www.quirksmode.org/js/cookies.html and have successfully created a cookie.. but am having trouble doing anything with it. I would like to have a style defined if a cookie is present. The function for the readCookie is function readCookie(name) { var nameEQ = name + "="; var ca = document.cookie.split(';'); for(var i=0;i < ca.length;i++) { var c = ca[i]; while (c.charAt(0)==' ') c = c.substring(1,c.length); if (c.indexOf(nameEQ) == 0) return c.substring(nameEQ.length,c.length); } return null; } I am trying to use it on page load with something like this window.onload=function(){ var x = readCookie('myCookieValue'); if (x) { document.getElementById('div').innerHTML = "<style type=\"text/css\">.form {display:none}</style>"; } } What would be the correct way of writing this?

  • Need to override cascade style

    - by WillingLearner
i have a style : .window .div { border:medium solid #000000; height:150px; background-color: #0099FF; } and then i have another style: #NewDiv { font:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 24px; height: 20px; border-bottom-width: medium; border-bottom-style: solid; border-bottom-color: #000000; } I need to put a #NewDiv div tag inside of window .div, BUT... #NewDiv must retain its own styling while sitting inside of window .div div tags. How do I do this? Currently when I try, #NewDiv takes on the same styling as window .div when i place it inside of it and i dont want that at all. Any suggestions?

  • How to set CSS style colors in GWT

    - by AmaltasCoder
I have a GWT + AppEngine application that lets users create online polls. I want to let the poll creator choose from a variety of themes for his poll. We will save the theme a poll creator chose on the server and whenever a poll respondent access the poll he will get the questions with the chosen theme. A theme for us means a set of 4-5 colors which we will use to style the poll page. Our client side application is a GWT application with styles set inline in UiBinder templates elements, for example: <ui:style> .header { background: color1; padding: 6px 6px; } .anothercssclass { background: color2; padding: 6px 6px; } </ui:style> Please suggest how we can set the color1 and color2 from the theme saved on server. Please note this is NOT a GWT module theme question.

  • Resetting Qt Style Sheet

    - by mree
I've managed to style my QLineEdit to something like this: void Utilities::setFormErrorStyle(QLineEdit *lineEdit) { lineEdit->setStyleSheet( "background-color: #FF8A8A;" "background-image: url(:/resources/warning.png);" "background-position: right center;" "background-repeat: no-repeat;" ""); } I called the function using Utilities *util = new Utilities; util->setFormErrorStyle(lineNoStaf); The flow should be something like this: User open form User fill data User submit data Got error Use setFormErrorStyle() User edit the text in the QLineEdit and the style disappear This function should be reusable over and over again, but how can I connect QLineEdit signal such as textChanged() to a function in other class that will reset the Style Sheet and then disconnect the signal so that it won't be running continuously every time the text changed ?

  • Upgrade guide for Kohana 3.0.9 (from 3.0.8)

    - by Darryl Hein
Is there an upgrade guide for Kohana 3.0.9 from 3.0.8. I'm looking for something like what jQuery provides when they release a new version. It allows for a quick scan of the changes to notice if there's anything I could use or would change how I've done things. The resolved issues are part of this, but I'm looking for something more high level. The issues require reading everything in each issue and it's often hard to understand what's actually changed.

  • Mercurial for Beginners: The Definitive Practical Guide

    - by Laz
Inspired by Git for beginners: The definitive practical guide. This is a compilation of information on using Mercurial for beginners for practical use. Beginner - a programmer who has touched source control without understanding it very well. Practical - covering situations that the majority of users often encounter - creating a repository, branching, merging, pulling/pushing from/to a remote repository, etc. Notes: Explain how to get something done rather than how something is implemented. Deal with one question per answer. Answer clearly and as concisely as possible. Edit/extend an existing answer rather than create a new answer on the same topic. Please provide a link to the the Mercurial wiki or the HG Book for people who want to learn more. Questions: Installation/Setup How to install Mercurial? How to set up Mercurial? How do you create a new project/repository? How do you configure it to ignore files? Working with the code How do you get the latest code? How do you check out code? How do you commit changes? How do you compare two revisions of a file, or your current file and a previous revision? How do you see the history of revisions to a file? How do you handle binary files (visio docs, for instance, or compiler environments)? How do you merge files changed at the "same time"? Tagging, branching, releases, baselines How do you 'mark' 'tag' or 'release' a particular set of revisions for a particular set of files so you can always pull that one later? • Style guide for database metadata naming

    - by Nulldevice
We want to establish some database metadata naming rules in our new project. For example: tables are named as nouns in a plural form (courses, books, lessons) if present, an adjective goes before a noun in a table name and is separated by an underscore (red_books, new_lessons) table index column is always named "id" foreign key names are derived from a table name with suffix _id (book_id, red_book_id) so on Does someone know any guide like this?

  • Dummies guide to locking in innodb

    - by ming yeow
The typical documentation on locking in innodb is way too confusing. I think it will be of great value to have a "dummies guide to innodb locking" I will start, and I will gather all responses as a wiki: The column needs to be indexed before row level locking applies. EXAMPLE: delete row where column1=10; will lock up the table unless column1 is indexed
