  • reuse of mvc view

    - by user344394
I'm working on the MVC app where I've to generate the report in the form of HTML page. If the user click the print icon, I've to show the HTML page to user. If the user click on email icon, I've to send email with same HTML page attachment. I'm trying to find a way where I can use the same code to generate the HTML in both cases of email and print. Please provide your suggestions.

  • How to hide the title bar for an Activity in XML

    - by Janusz
I want to hide the title bar for some of my activities. The problem is that I applied a style to all my activities, therefore I can't simply set the theme to @android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar. Using the NoTitleBar theme as a parent for my style would remove the title bar for to much activities. Can I set a no title style item somewhere?

  • View list of all JavaScript variables in Google Chrome Console

    - by GRboss
Hello everyone. In Firebug the DOM tab shows a list of all your public variables and objects. In Chrome's console you have to type the name of the public variable or object you want to explore. Is there a way - or at least a command - for Chrome's console to display a list all the public variables and objects? It will save a lot of typing. Thank you all Stefanos

  • How do I reference sqlite db column to use in update statement

    - by user244190
I am trying to update a datetime column in an android sqlite db to use international date format (yyyy-mm-dd) instead of the current format (mm/dd/yyyy). I want to use the sqlite date() function to reformat the current value of the column. I thought it would be as simple as the following: update tblename set thedate = date(thedate) but the above does not work. How would i write the sql statement to accomplish this? thanks patrick

  • Accessing Session and IPrinciple data in a Master View in Asp.Net MCV

    - by bplus
I currently have a abstract controller class that I all my controllers inherit from. In my master page I want to be able to access some data that will be in Session and also the currently user (IPrinciple). I read that I could use the contructor of by abstract base controller class, that is I could do something like public BaseController() { ViewData["SomeData"] = Session["SomeData"]; ViewData["UserName"] = this.User.Identity.Name; } I could then access ViewData["UserName"] etc from my master page. My problem is that both Session and User are null at this point. Does anybody know of a different approach? Thanks in advance.

  • Summary of changes for each API level?

    - by MisterSquonk
As the title says, are there any sources (web pages etc) of summarised changes at each API level? I have an app which I've put out to a small group of beta testers and I already fell foul of Environment.getExternalFilesDir(), which I hadn't noticed was introduced in API Level 8, when a couple of the guys tried it on Android v2.1 devices. The majority of my code should be pretty generic but it would be useful if I could find a condensed/summarised list/table or similar that I can quickly glance over.

  • ASP.NET MVC Using Multiple user controls on a single .aspx(view)

    - by Pinu
    I am getting this following error , when i am tring to having two user controls in one page. The model item passed into the dictionary is of type 'System.Linq.EnumerableQuery1[Data.EventLog]' but this dictionary requires a model item of type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable1[Data.Notes]'. <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> Test </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h2>Test</h2> <% Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Shared/UserControl/Tracking.ascx"); %> <% Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Shared/UserControl/Notes.ascx"); %> </asp:Content>

  • ASP.NET MVC: View does not get rendered with updated model value

    - by Newton
I'm experiencing the a challenge in populating the child records. My previous code was like - <%= Html.TextBox("DyeOrder.Summary[" + i + "].Ratio", Model.DyeOrder.Summary[i].Ratio.ToString("#0.00"), ratioProperties) %> This code does not render the updated values after post back. To resolve this issue my work around was like - <%= "<input id='DyeOrder_Summary_" + i + "__Ratio' name='DyeOrder.Summary[" + i + "].Ratio' value='" + Model.DyeOrder.Summary[i].Ratio.ToString("#0.00") + "' " + ratioCss + " type='text' />"%> This is very clumsy to me. Is there any better ideas...

  • Dealing with rapid tapping on Buttons

    - by Eric Burke
I have a Button with an OnClickListener. For illustrative purposes, consider a button that shows a modal dialog: public class SomeActivity ... { protected void onCreate(Bundle state) { super.onCreate(state); findViewById(R.id.ok_button).setOnClickListener( new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { // This should block input new AlertDialog.Builder(SomeActivity.this) .setCancelable(true) .show(); } }); } Under normal usage, the alert dialog appears and blocks further input. Users must dismiss the dialog before they can tap the button again. But sometimes the button's OnClickListener is called twice before the dialog appears. You can duplicate this fairly easily by tapping really fast on the button. I generally have to try several times before it happens, but sooner or later I'll trigger multiple onClick(...) calls before the dialog blocks input. I see this behavior in Android 2.1 on the Motorola Droid phone. We've received 4 crash reports in the Market, indicating this occasionally happens to people. Depending on what our OnClickListeners do, this causes all sorts of havoc. How can we guarantee that blocking dialogs actually block input after the first tap?

  • How to view existing data in Core Data?

    - by mshsayem
Well, may be this question is silly, but I couldn't find a way (except programmatically). I built a project (for iPhone OS 3.0) which uses Core Data. The xcdatamodel file shows the schema description, but I want to see the data in tabular form (like the management studio for mssql server or phpmyadmin for mysql). Is there any way (except coding)? What is that? Also, which file (in disk/device) those data are stored into? [ I built the tutorial (from apple) on Core Data, named Locations. They used this line somewhere in the code: NSURL *storeUrl = [NSURL fileURLWithPath: [[self applicationDocumentsDirectory] stringByAppendingPathComponent: @"Locations.sqlite"]]; But, I did not see any "xxxxx.sqlite" file in project location (nor in the disk).]

  • How to specify the left, right, or title View button in XIB

    - by Sharen Eayrs
I do not want to create a custom navigation bar. I am pushing a UIViewController and I want to customize how the navigation bar looks for that UIViewController In story board, we just specify the segue and a nav bar show up on the screen. We just drag and drop UIBarItem to the left and right. In XIB, the navigationBar simply doesn't show up. I can add navigation Item but the one I added is ignored. I've heard that there used to be an outlet called navigationItem but it's deprecated for reason I do not know. I can add UINavigationBar, however that would be adding my own custom bar. I want the navBar that's provided by UINavigationController.

  • C#: Immutable view of a list's objects?

    - by Rosarch
I have a list, and I want to provide read-only access to a collection containing its contents. How can I do this? Something like: public ICollection<Foo> ImmutableViewOfInventory() { IList<Foo> inventory = new List<Foo>(); inventory.add(new Foo()); return inventory.ImmutableView(); } Additionally, an immutable IEnumerable would also be fine.
