• JQuery Facebook like Tag feature

  Hi, Does anyone know of a very basic tag JQuery script? (Facebook like tag feature) All I want to do is when I type @ in a text box for it to search an AJAX search, it then brings back a display name i.e. "Bob Johnson" and an associated Id and stores the Id in a comma delimited list. So an example would be the following .... [TextArea] [Name 1] [Name 2] [Name 3] The thing is it also needs to remove this entry (Id) once the tag gets removed, also it needs to load into a DIV which has a scrollbar so that the list doesn't get to big. If anyone know's how/if this is possible that would be great. Thanks.

  so i have been looking around on how to do this but with no success. Im trying to get the value of the name test from an external website <input type="hidden" name="test" value="ThisIsAValue" /> But so far i have only found how to get the value of that with an ID <input type="hidden" id="test" name="test" value="ThisIsAValue" autocomplete="off" /> but I need to try find it without a ID is my problem.   While trying to optimize SQL scripts, I was recommended to add indexes. What is the easiest way to specify what Database the index should be on? IF EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sysindexes WHERE NAME = 'idx_TableA') DROP INDEX TableA.idx_TableA IF EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sysindexes WHERE NAME = 'idx_TableB') DROP INDEX TableB.idx_TableB In the code aboce, TableA is in DB-A, and TableB is in DB-B. I get the following error when I change DROP INDEX TableA.idx_TableA to DROP INDEX DB-A.dbo.TableA.idx_TableA Msg 166, Level 15, State 1, Line 2 'DROP INDEX' does not allow specifying the database name as a prefix to the object name. Any thoughts are appreciated.

  Is there a simple way to flatten a list while retaining the original types of list constituents?.. Is there a way to programmatically construct a heterogeneous list?.. For instance, I want to create a simple wrapper for functions like png(filename,width,height) that would take device name, file name, and a list of options. The naive approach would be something like my.wrapper <- function(dev,name,opts) { do.call(dev,c(filename=name,opts)) } or similar code with unlist(list(...)). This doesn't work because opts gets coerced to character, and the resulting call is e.g. png(filename,width="500",height="500"). If there's no straightforward way to create heterogeneous lists like that, is there a standard idiomatic way to splice arguments into functions without naming them explicitly (e.g. do.call(dev,list(filename=name,width=opts["width"]))? -- Edit -- Gavin Simpson answered both questions below in his discussion about constructing wrapper functions. Let me give a summary of the answer to the title question: It is possible to construct a heterogeneous list with c() provided the arguments to c() are lists. • NHibernate not dropping foreign key constraints.

  I'm new to NHibernate, so this is probably my mistake, but when I use: schema.Create(true, true); I get: SchemaExport [(null)]- There is already an object named 'XXX' in the database. System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: There is already an object named 'XXX' in the database. I grabbed the SQL code nHibernate was using, ran it directly from MSSMS, and recieved similar errors. Looking into it, the generated code is not properly dropping the foreign key constraints. The drop looks like this: if exists (select 1 from sysobjects where id = OBJECT_ID(N'dbo[FK22212EAFBFE4C58]') AND parent_obj = OBJECT_ID('YYY')) alter table dbo.YYY drop constraint FK22212EAFBFE4C58 Doing a "select OBJECT_ID(N'dbo[FK22212EAFBFE4C58]')" I get null. If I take out the "dbo" (i.e. "select OBJECT_ID(N'[FK22212EAFBFE4C58]')") then the ID is returned. • Problem with index server talking to remote server names with dashes or dots in them

  Hi I am having a problem, accessing a remote index server catalog. The name of the server has - in it, so i put the index catalog name as: i.e num.num.num.num\name of catalog or an-example-server I get the following error when using an ole data connection to pull results from the index: "Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification starting at index 39" I tried putting single quotes and &qoute; with no luck - anyone have idea? • odd behavior when checking if radio button selected in jQuery

  I had the following check in my jQuery which I thought was working fine to see if a radio button was checked. if ($("input[@name='companyType']:checked").attr('id') == "primary") { ... } Here's the radiobuttons: <p> <label>Company Type:</label> <label for="primary"><input onclick="javascript: $('#sec').hide('slow');$('#primary_company').find('option:first').attr('selected','selected');" type="radio" name="companyType" id="primary" checked />Primary</label> <label for="secondary"><input onclick="javascript: $('#sec').show('slow');" type="radio" name="companyType" id="secondary" />Subsidiary</label> </p> Then, it suddenly stopped working (or so I thought). I did some debugging and finally realized that it was returning an id of "approved_status". Elsewhere on my form I have a checkbox called "approved_status". I realized that when I originally tested this, I must have testing it on records where approved_status is false. And, now most of my approved_statuses are true/checked. I changed the code to this: var id = $("input:radio[@name='companyType']:checked").attr('id'); alert(id); if (id == "primary") { And it's now properly returning "primary" or "secondary" as the id. So, it is working, but it seems that it's not checking the name at all and now just checking radio buttons. I just want to know for future use, what's wrong with the original code b/c I can see possibly having 2 different radio sets on a page and then my new fix probably wouldn't work. Thanks!

I have tried but to me it seems that only public members are inherited. At least I could not access Name unless it was declared as public. Thanks

• Cannot Resize DIV to anything smaller than maximum width

  Quick CSS Question. I cannot seem to figure out a very simple CSS/HTML problem. Here's a JSFiddle. http://jsfiddle.net/BmM6t/ Basically, these two divs are not resizing to anything less than 100% width: <div id="main_pic" class="main_div"> THIS IS WHERE THE MAIN PIC WILL GO. </div> <div id="signin" class="main_div"> SIGN IN TO THE SITE! <form> <label for="name">EMAIL/USERNAME:</label> <input type="text" name="name" id="name"> <label for="email">PASSWORD:</label> <input type="text" name="email" id="email"> <br /> <input type="submit" value="Let's Play!"> </form> </div> You'll see that the two divs with class main_div actually take up the entire width of the screen for some reason (you can see that if you inspect the element) even though their widths are clearly written. When you try to change the width of one of the main_div's it changes the width but if you inspect the element, it just changes the width of the object and adds padding around it to make sure it still takes up the entire width of the screen. I'm sure it's some little error I've made but I can't find it. Thanks for the help!

• Game doesn't Quit properly

  I have an app that so far consists of two Activities: The Main Menu Activity. The Game Activity The Main Menu Activity contains a button that starts the Game Activity with the following code: public void onClick(View clickedButton) { switch(clickedButton.getId()) { case R.id.buttonPlay: Intent i = new Intent("apple.banana.BouncingBallActivity"); startActivity(i); break; } When the user is done with the Game Activity, he presses the back button. This calls the onPause() method first, which pauses the animation thread of the game. It then calls the onStop() which calls finish() on the activity altogether. The user is returned to the Main Menu activity. The code is outlined below: public class BouncingBallActivity extends Activity{ private BouncingBallView bouncingBallView; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); bouncingBallView = new BouncingBallView(this); bouncingBallView.resume(); setContentView(bouncingBallView); } @Override protected void onPause() { super.onPause(); bouncingBallView.pause(); } @Override protected void onResume() { super.onResume(); bouncingBallView.resume(); } @Override protected void onStop() { super.onStop(); this.finish(); } } The problem is that this only works if I launch the application from Eclipse. When I click on the app icon, the game starts from the Game Activity. The main menu activity does not appear. I am not clear about why this happens. It could be something to do with the manifest.   I can upload image but the sprite name remains pict1 each time I upload another image. • How do I make a multiple file upload?

  I am trying to make a multiple image uploader. The file upload fields are being added in the form dynamically using jquery. I tried making an array of the fields since I don't want to have a hidden field. so my generated upload fields look like <input type="file" id="img0" name="img[]"/> <input type="file" id="img1" name="img[]"/> <input type="file" id="img2" name="img[]"/> ..... .. And on the php side I did something like if(isset($_FILES['img'])) { foreach($_FILES['img'] as $k=>$v) { if($v!="") { uploadImage($k,0,0,0,"content/gallery/"); } } } Now I know I am way too wrong, since in that code I am looping through the 'img' file's properties instead of all images....but I have no idea how to fix this. PS: uploadImage is a function I wrote which expects the file input field's name as the first parameter.
