  I know I can use ResHacker to change a resource from windows and I know I can use ResourceUpdate function to do the same problematically (again in windows). My problem is that I have to update the icon of a windows exe file in linux, without using wine. (the reason for not using wine is that this process should run on an automation server that change the files and sign them). I don't know even where to start from.

I'm not that familiar with the Win32 API in general and so I wanted to ask if someone here who is better in it than me could show me an example for, Retrieving a process handle by its PID required to terminate it and then call TerminateProcess with it. If you aren't familiar with C++ a C# equivalent would help too.

• How do I detect what software is using the webcam on a Windows box (XP,Vista,7)

  The idea is that I want to build a small app that detects if the webcam is being used and by what. I have thought about seeing who has use of the Twain.dll somehow (like the way process explorer knows) It's for a security style app that picks out weird webcam behaviour. Ideally I would use C# as it's my strong point, but I'm guessing it won't be that nice.

  Is it possible to skip a statement in Eclipse while debugging? Suppose the process stopped at breakpoint and I want to skip the breakpoint line ( or maybe a few lines below), can I do it?   None of the scribe examples I've seen actually mention the best way to take logs/logfiles and send them to scribe. I could configure a logrotate script that has a postrotate section that "cats" the rotated file to scribe (but then I get minutes latency at best). The other option is to keep a "tail -f= | my_scribe_sender" and hope that the process never gets killed. However then you really can't guarantee that you're not missing/duplicating data.
