  • Authlogic OpenID: Fetching E-Mail from Provider.

    This is a really weird problem: I have set up the authlogic_openid_selector_example app. When i register, the email id is not returned by the openid provider the first time. But if i delete the account and register again, the email id is returned. But this doesn't seem to be happening in the example hosted here: http://big-glow-mama.heroku.com/. How do i fix this problem? Has this got to do with caching? I have hosted my version of the app here: http://pingauthtest.heroku.com/ I guess the author of authlogic_openid_selector_example app (@holden) has forgotten to commit new changes. :) I looked at my development log and the first time the provider doesn't return the openid.ext1.value.ext0 which contains the email id. This is returned the second time only after having deleted the account first. Other sites seem to know exactly which city I'm in, though, without me entering any information. Suggestions? Is there something cross-browser (ignoring IE6) and reliable?

    Hi all, I've got a little problem with exporting MySQL data to html. The problem is that in one field i have values like this: <a href="http://google.com">Google</a> and when i export the table in html format the generated html table for this fields contains: &lt;a href=&quot;http://google.com&quot;&gt;Google&lt;/a&gt; which is not a valid html link. Is there way to export the table without mysql to convert the < and > chars? Thanks!

  • Most efficient way to store list structure in XML

    Starting a new project and was planning on storing all of my web content in XML. I do not have access to a database so this seemed like the next best thing. One thing I'm struggling with is how to structure the XML for links (which will later be transformed using XSLT). It needs to be fairly flexible as well.     Does anyone know how to break out of a for loop when it's typed directly into the windows command-line? I know you can use gotos and labels to break out of it when it's in a batch file, but I can't find anything about breaking out of one on the command line. Here's a simple example: C:> for /l %i in (1,0,1) do @ping -n 1 google.com || (echo ^G & msg user "Google is down!" & QUIT) This should infinitely ping google.com. If it ever fails, it beeps (echo ^G), displays a message box to the user "user" that says "Google is down!", and QUITs. I don't know how to do the quit part though. I guess I could do something like taskkill /f /im cmd.exe, but I was looking for something more elegant. Any tips?

    I use LyX for creating documents and would like to be able to format the output of my documents so that they use the Ubuntu font. In the LyX document settings, it appears that there are only a fixed number of fonts available. Is it possible to add the Ubuntu font to this list? If not, is there a way to use the Ubuntu font in LaTeX? I can export the LyX document to LaTeX, make my changes and then use pdflatex & co. to create a formatted document.

That's telling me that I need some SEO work. We redid our website and streamlined it which removed many of our 'How-To' documents. Since those PDF documents contain words that people might search for, I was wondering if I could add a 'Complete library' link to the bottom of a page that will load up the entire PDF library. Would that help my ranking?

As you can imagin a period of time after 6 month or 1 year you will see a long list of server names in the login dialog. How to clear this list...? I doesn't provide a mechanism to clean nor clear the list, so you'll have to do a little browsing through your file system. For SQl Server 2005 Management Studio, we should delete the below file C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Shell\mru.dat. For SQl Server 2008 Management Studio, we should delete the below file C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Shell\SQLStudio.bin. After deletion we can re-login the Management studio and can see the empty list.
