It works like a charm, however, I don't want to block the UI (Or at least not show the "Please wait" message) when I am making ajax calls to fetch autocomplete suggest items. How do I do that? I am using jquery autocomplete plugin for autocomplete functionality. Is there a way I can tell the block UI plug-in to not block UI for autocomplete?

  • Custom Windows Forms Control not exporting functions, not showing in tools list, showing as Text

    Hi, I have written a very simple control. C# Visual Studio 2008. Its output should be, and is a dll. I have added a reference to the dll within the project that I intend to use it with. The msdn article about how to write a control states that it should appear in the 'Add reference / projects' list, which it doesn't but I simply navigated to it under the 'browse' tab, went to the /bin folder and added the reference that way. I dragged it over to my toolbox, but it shows up as a 'Text:xhair_tool' and when i try and add it to a form, it won't, so what have I done wrong? It was created as a 'Windows forms control' project.   • Having trouble getting MEF imports to be resolved

    This is sort of a continuation of one of my earlier posts, which involves the resolving of modules in my WPF application. This question is specifically related to the effect of interdependencies of modules and the method of constructing those modules (i.e. via MEF or through new) on MEF's ability to resolve relationships. I have been in the dark for so long that instead of reading about MEF and trying different suggestions, I've added MEF to my solution and am stepping into the code. The part where it looks like it fails is when it calls partManager.GetSavedImport(). For some reason, the importCache is null, which I don't understand. All the way up to this point, it's been looking at the part (Window1) and trying to resolve two imported interfaces -- IError and IPlugin. I would have expected it to enter code that looks at other assemblies in the same executable folder, and then check it for exports so that it knows how to resolve the imports...

  • Deserializing classes from XML generated using XSD.exe

    I have classes generated (using xsd.exe) from an .xsd that I can serialize just fine, but when I try and deserialize it, I get the error: {"<XMLLanguages xmlns='http://tempuri.org/XMLLanguages.xsd'> was not expected."} I've searched for a couple of hours and found most peoples problems lie in not declaring namespaces in their xsd/xml, not defining namespaces in their classes, etc, but I can't find a solution for my problem.     Hello, I've just started studying and I need help on one of my exercises. I need the end user to input a rain fall number for each month. I then need to out put the average rainfall, highest month and lowest month and the months which rainfall was above average. I keep getting the same number in the highest and lowest and I have no idea why. I am seriously pulling my hair out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     I am trying to setup the ssl_requirement plugin. For my users controller I would like to require ssl for new and create. When I open users/new the browser redirects to https but I get an unable to connect error message. The application error log says : Filter chain halted as [:ensure_proper_protocol] rendered_or_redirected. I am not sure if I have configured the plugin incorrectly or if I made an error with the nginx configuration.

If the user then unchecks the box and presses the button to invoke a postback, the state of the checkbox remains as checked on the server side. This is obviously undesirable behaviour.
