The reasoning behind that is just because windows was the first OS I ever used and has some essential software, and Fedora is the first linux distribution I tried, but I would like to hear the argument for other distros, as I may be looking to switch.     Win 7 Pro SP1 x64 EVGA Geforce GTX 670 FTW 2gb Geforce Driver: 320.49, it did happen with the previous version of the driver as well Chrome Version 28.0.1500.52 beta-m DirectX: 11 I was looking in chrome://gpu which told me that "Rasterization: Software only. Hardware acceleration disabled." and further down "Accelerated rasterization has not been enabled or is not supported by the current system." Is there a way to enable hardware acceleration?

    I'm trying to setup an apache http server with mod_wsgi on a windows machine, but when I start the service, it fails to launch. In the Windows Event Log I get the following message: The Apache2 service terminated with the following service-specific error: Incorrect function. In running a Windows 8 - 64 bits machine, with Apache 2.0.64 32 bits Python 2.7.8 32 bits mod_wsgi 3.5 32 bits I looked around the web, but all the problem but everywhere says that it's a problem with the architecture of the software, but I already installed them all with the 32 bits version.

  • Capture Outgoing Email to One Mailbox or Account on Linux

    I am looking to see if anything exists that would allow us to capture all outgoing email on a machine -- for example, in a staging environment -- and drop it in a single place, which ideally would be something we could check with a mail client. Currently we're doing this on the software level (if environment is staging, rewrite address) which is a bit ugly and leads to errors. The servers are currently on Debian Linux, using exim as the mail transport. Open to any and all suggestions!

  • Chrome keeps chrashing a short while after startup

    Hi, whenever I turn on Chrome, it crashes after a very short while (less than a minute). It started happening about a week ago for no apparent reason. I didn't install any new software, update or uninstall anything (as far as I remember), it just crashes. It doesn't matter wether I even open any page or not, Chrome just dies, period. Doesn't anybody have an idea why might that be? I'm running on Windows Vista Home Basic.

    If I make a VPN connection to a server (say myvpn.com; assume this server is not behind any router/firewall) via a TUN device and open a port (say 5555), will someone else be able to connect to me via myvpn.com:5555? If not, is there a tunneling software that does exactly this in a transparent manner? i.e. run any TCP/UDP-based server instance behind a router without NAT using another remote server.

    I know Ghost and Clonezilla aren't able to build images of a system while the system is running(Without Rebooting). Haven't Checked on Acronis though, but i don't simpatize with private solutions. Question: Is there a software solution which is able to build a "Live" image? I want to be able to take the brunt out of looking at the terminal locally when dealing with these databases - is there any software available (free or otherwise) that can handle all three of these database technologies in a GUI for the Mac that is actually decent and worth it?

Were commercial software an option things would be easy but I want freeware. After trying out several different candidates such as Core FTP Mini SFTP Server, SilverShield and freeFTPd none them really qualified - either connection issues, zero configurability or bugs. Is there a free and stable SFTP server for Windows 2008 which works out of the box?
