  • Crystal reports - Encoding Issue UTF-8 / iso-8559-1

    Hi, Has anyone had this error before when running reports in Crystal Reports 2008: Character set encoding from transport information [UTF-8] does not match with character set encoding in the received SOAP message [iso-8559]. I presume this indicates a file needs changing, but trying to fint it is causing me a real headache. There are references to UTF-8 all over the server. Any help would be great. Thanks, Lloyd.

  • No properties file found Error for ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource

    I'm trying to use a reloadable spring resource bundle but spring cannot find the file. I've tried tons of different paths, but can't get it to work anywhere. In the code below you'll see that i load both the spring bundle and the regular one from the same path variable but only one works. I've been banging my head against this for far too long.   • How to Connect Crystal Reports to MySQL directly by C# code without DSN or a DataSet

    How can I connect a Crystal Report (VS 2008 basic) to a MySQL DB without using a DSN or a preload DataSet using C#? I need install the program on several places, so I must change the connection parameters. I don't want to create a DSN on every place, nor do I want to preload a DataSet and pass it to the report engine. I use nhibernate to access the database, so to create and fill the additional DS would take twice the work and additional maintenance later. I think the best option would be to let the crystal reports engine to connect to MySQL server by itself using ODBC. I managed to create the connection in the report designer (VS2008) using the Database Expert, creating an ODBC(RDO) connection and entering this connection string "DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver};SERVER=myserver.mydomain" and in the "Next" page filling the "User ID", "Password" and "Database" parameters. I didn't fill the "Server" parameter. It worked. As a matter of fact, if you use the former connection string, it doesn't matter what you put on the "Server" parameter, it seems the parameter is unused. On the other hand, if you use "DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver}" as a connection string and later fill the "Server" parameter with the FQDN of the server, the connection doesn't work. How can I do that by code? All the examples I've seen till now, use a DSN or the DataSet method. I saw the same question posted but for PostgreSQL and tried to adapt it to mysql, but so far, no success.   • Difficulty getting Saxon into XQuery mode instead of XSLT

    I'm having difficulty getting XQuery to work. I downloaded Saxon-HE 9.2. It seems to only want to work with XSLT. When I type: java -jar saxon9he.jar I get back usage information for XSLT. When I use the command syntax for XQuery, it doesn't recognize the parameters (like -q), and gives XSLT usage information.   • Can't start gdb.exe in Qt Creator

    I have a project in Qt Creator that builds fine, but when I try to debug it I get this message: Adapter start failed Unable to start gdb 'C:\Qt\2010.02.1\mingw\bin\gdb.exe': Process failed to start: The directory name is invalid If I navigate to the debug build folder and directly run my compiled application, it will run fine, but obviously there's no debugging support. Additionally, gdb.exe is present at C:\Qt\2010.02.1\mingw\bin\gdb.exe, but Qt Creator can't seem to run it. How can I fix this problem?

I currently have 2 ASP.NET MVC apps in my solution. First I run the first one by setting it to be startup project. Then I have set the persist security of the cookie to true so I can access it from any where under localhost. The cookie writes fine and I get logged in and all godd for now. BTW the url for this login page is: http //localhost/MyAccount/Login Now then I stop the solution and set the other MVC apps to be the startup. Then I run it. But once it crashes in Firefox I have a look in the Page Info and then security and Cookies and its there and its the same cookie. What am I doing wrong?

However we are having a problem with the kernel loading.     I'm using dataannotations in an MVC2 app and am a little discouraged when trying to use RESX file resources for error messages. I've tried the following but keep getting the exception "An attribute [Required(ErrorMessage = Resources.ErrorMessages.Required)] [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = Resources.ErrorMessages.Required, ErrorMessageResourceType = typof(Resources.ErrorMessages)] I keep getting that error message unless I replace ErrorMessageResourceName with "Required" instead of Resources.ErrorMessages.Required. Can anyone tell me if I'm doing this right?

I am handling emails from one specific source so I can put html_part with confidence it's not causing the error. To make it extra weird Subject in Arabic is rendered perfectly. What encoding should I use?

For example, TSD01268 = normal action successful TSD01236 = missing referenced file (fail) TSD01237 = missing script file (fail) TSD00566 = deployment script generated to _ The way we are wrapping calls to VsDbCmd.exe means catching the %errorlevel% isn't always reliable so we also like to check the output for certain error conditions. It would be nice to see a consolidated list somewhere.
