    If there a way to protect against concurrent modifications of the same data base entry by two or more users? It would be acceptable to show an error message to the user performing the second commit/save operation, but data should not be silently overwritten. I think locking the entry is not an option, as a user might use the "Back" button or simply close his browser, leaving the lock for ever.

    I am learning Objective-C using Stephen Kochan's excellent book "Programming in Objective-C 2.0". I am new also to Xcode. So far all my exercises have worked fine, but when I run program 7.6 FractionTest on page 153 I get the console message "Program received signal: "EXC_ARITHMETIC". The status shows that the program succeeded, but I don't see any output. Can anybody suggest what I might be doing wrong?

    Type mismatch. Expecting a LexBuffer but given a LexBuffer The type 'char' does not match the type 'byte' This is the error message that I am getting while using fslex. I have tried manually checking every single occurrence of lexbuf and its type. It's LexBuffer everywhere. But still the compiler is giving me the above error.     Hi all, Trying to build the OCaml Win32 API binaries for OCaml 3.11.0 on Win 7 and I consistently get a message when I try nmake dynamic: 'cannot open input file "ocamlrun.lib"'. My google skills seem to be failing me--is there something I need to do to get this .lib file? It doesn't seem to be part of the libraries which are included in the OCaml binary distribution for Windows. Can anyone give me a pointer in the right direction?

    Hi, Could somebody point out the necessary rights to do something like ALTER TABLE myTable ADD myColumn int NOT NULL CONSTRAINT [Constraint_name] DEFAULT ((0)) ? I assumed grant alter on myTable to [user] was enough but I'm getting the error message The UPDATE permission was denied on the object 'myTable', database 'x', schema 'dbo'. Could UPDATE rights be needed because of the DEFAULT constraint? Thanks.
