  • Is there a way to add a column with buttons in jqGrid

    - by josh
I have some data that I'd like to display in jqqgrid. In addition to add, edit, and delete, there are other actions that can be taken on a selected record. I like the flow of having a button/link for that action in that record's row. Is there a way to add a column & buttons/links within jqgrid which isn't bound to data?

  • Android Update Layout Content

    - by GuyNoir
I'm looking for a way to update a layout's content with a new view. Is there any way to easily do this. It would be similar to how tabs work, but I don't want to have to get into extending the current tab structure if I don't have to. The final result would be a few buttons that would switch the content in a specific linearlayout for each button. Any help?

  • Binding a wpf listbox to a combobox

    - by user293545
    Hi there, I have created a very basic wpf application that I want to use to record time entries against different projects. I havent used mvvm for this as I think its an overkill. I have a form that contains a combobox and a listbox. I have created a basic entity model like this What I am trying to do is bind the combobox to Project and whenever I select an item from the combobox it updates the listview with the available tasks associated with that project. This is my xaml so far. I dont have any code behind as I have simply clicked on that Data menu and then datasources and dragged and dropped the items over. The application loads ok and the combobox is been populated however nothing is displaying in the listbox. Can anyone tell me what I have missed? <Window.Resources> <CollectionViewSource x:Key="tasksViewSource" d:DesignSource="{d:DesignInstance l:Task, CreateList=True}" /> <CollectionViewSource x:Key="projectsViewSource" d:DesignSource="{d:DesignInstance l:Project, CreateList=True}" /> </Window.Resources> <Grid DataContext="{StaticResource tasksViewSource}"> <l:NotificationAreaIcon Text="Time Management" Icon="Resources\NotificationAreaIcon.ico" MouseDoubleClick="OnNotificationAreaIconDoubleClick"> <l:NotificationAreaIcon.MenuItems> <forms:MenuItem Text="Open" Click="OnMenuItemOpenClick" DefaultItem="True" /> <forms:MenuItem Text="-" /> <forms:MenuItem Text="Exit" Click="OnMenuItemExitClick" /> </l:NotificationAreaIcon.MenuItems> </l:NotificationAreaIcon> <Button Content="Insert" Height="23" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="150,223,0,0" Name="btnInsert" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="46" Click="btnInsert_Click" /> <ComboBox Height="23" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="70,16,0,0" Name="comProjects" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="177" DisplayMemberPath="Project1" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource projectsViewSource}}" SelectedValuePath="ProjectID" /> <Label Content="Projects" Height="28" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="12,12,0,0" Name="label1" VerticalAlignment="Top" IsEnabled="False" /> <Label Content="Tasks" Height="28" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="16,61,0,0" Name="label2" VerticalAlignment="Top" /> <ListBox Height="112" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="16,87,0,0" Name="lstTasks" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="231" DisplayMemberPath="Task1" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=ProjectID, Source=comProjects}" SelectedValuePath="TaskID" /> <TextBox Height="23" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="101,224,0,0" Name="txtMinutes" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="42" /> <Label Content="Mins to Insert" Height="28" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="12,224,0,0" Name="label3" VerticalAlignment="Top" /> <Button Content="None" Height="23" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="203,223,0,0" Name="btnNone" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="44" /> </Grid>

  • Problem with onRetainNonConfigurationInstance

    - by David
I am writing a small app using the Android SDK, 1.6 target, and the Eclipse plug-in. I have layouts for both portrait and landscape mode, and most everything is working well. I say most because I am having issues with the orientation change. One part of the app has a ListView "on top of" another section. That section consists of 4 checkboxes, a button, and some TextViews. That is the portrait version. The landscape version replaces the ListView with a Spinner and rearranges some of the other components (but leaves the ALL resource ids the same). While in either orientation things work like they should. It's when the app switches orientation that things go off. Only 1 of the checkboxes maintains it's state throughout both layout changes. The other three CBs only maintain their state when going from landscape-portrait. I am also having problem getting the ListView/Spinner to correctly set themselves on changing. I am using onRetainNonConfigurationInstance() and creating a custom object that is returned. When I step through the code during a orientation change, the custom object is successfully pulled back out the the ether, and the widgets are being set to the correct values (inspecting them). But for some reason, once the onCreate is done, the checkboxes are not set to true. public class SkillSelectionActivity extends Activity { private Button rollDiceButton; private ListView skillListView; private CheckBox makeCommonCB; private CheckBox useEdgeCB; private CheckBox useSpecializationCB; private CheckBox isExtendedCB; private TextView skillNameView; private TextView skillRanksView; private TextView rollResultView; • C# Silverlight - Delay Child Window Load?!

    - by Goober
The Scenario Currently I have a C# Silverlight Application That uses the domainservice class and the ADO.Net Entity Framework to communicate with my database. I want to load a child window upon clicking a button with some data that I retrieve from a server-side query to the database. The Process The first part of this process involves two load operations to load separate data from 2 tables. The next part of the process involves combining those lists of data to display in a listbox. The Problem The problem with this is that the first two asynchronous load operations haven't returned the data by the time the section of code to combine these lists of data is reached, thus result in a null value exception..... Initial Load Operations To Get The Data: public void LoadAudits(Guid jobID) { var context = new InmZenDomainContext(); var imageLoadOperation = context.Load(context.GetImageByIDQuery(jobID)); imageLoadOperation.Completed += (sender3, e3) => { imageList = ((LoadOperation<InmZen.Web.Image>)sender3).Entities.ToList(); }; var auditLoadOperation = context.Load(context.GetAuditByJobIDQuery(jobID)); auditLoadOperation.Completed += (sender2, e2) => { auditList = ((LoadOperation<Audit>)sender2).Entities.ToList(); }; } I Then Want To Execute This Immediately: IEnumerable<JobImageAudit> jobImageAuditList = from a in auditList join ai in imageList on a.ImageID equals ai.ImageID select new JobImageAudit { JobID = a.JobID, ImageID = a.ImageID.Value, CreatedBy = a.CreatedBy, CreatedDate = a.CreatedDate, Comment = a.Comment, LowResUrl = ai.LowResUrl, }; auditTrailList.ItemsSource = jobImageAuditList; However I can't because the async calls haven't returned with the data yet... Thus I have to do this (Perform the Load Operations, Then Press A Button On The Child Window To Execute The List Concatenation and binding): private void LoadAuditsButton_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { IEnumerable<JobImageAudit> jobImageAuditList = from a in auditList join ai in imageList on a.ImageID equals ai.ImageID select new JobImageAudit { JobID = a.JobID, ImageID = a.ImageID.Value, CreatedBy = a.CreatedBy, CreatedDate = a.CreatedDate, Comment = a.Comment, LowResUrl = ai.LowResUrl, }; auditTrailList.ItemsSource = jobImageAuditList; } Potential Ideas for Solutions: Delay the child window displaying somehow? Potentially use DomainDataSource and the Activity Load control?! Any thoughts, help, solutions, samples comments etc. greatly appreciated.

  • WPF drag distance threshold

    - by justin984
I have a program with two WPF treeviews that allow dragging and dropping between the two. The problem is, it can be annoying to open / close items on the treeviews because moving the mouse just one pixel while holding the left mouse button triggers the drag / drop functionality. Is there some way to specify how far the mouse should move before it's considered a drag / drop? Thanks!

  • JQuery error: XML filter is applied to non-XML value (function (E, F) {return new (o.fn.init)(E, F);

    - by morpheous
I am getting this slightly cryptic error message: XML filter is applied to non-XML value (function (E, F) {return new (o.fn.init)(E, F);}) when I run this code snippet function justDoIt(arg){ msg = arg.msg; if(arg.ok) jQuery.(".action-button").each(function(idx,el){jQuery(this).removeClass('enabled');} ); } arg is a JSON format response form the server. Anyone knows how to fix this?

  • UIViewAnimation done by a UIViewController belonging to a UINavigationController?

    - by RickiG
Hi I have an UINavigationController which the user navigates with. When pushing a specific UIViewController onto the navigation stack, a "settings" button appear in the navigationBar. When the user clicks this button I would like to flip the current view/controller, i.e. everything on screen, including the navigationBar, over to a settings view. So I have a SettingsViewController which I would like to flip to from my CurrentViewController that lives on a navigationController stack. I get all kinds of strange behavior trying to do this, the UIViews belonging to the SettingsViewController will start to animate, sliding into place, the navigationButtons moves around, nothing acts as I would think. -(void)settingsHandler { SettingViewController *settingsView = [[SettingViewController alloc] init]; [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0]; [UIView setAnimationTransition:UIViewAnimationTransitionFlipFromRight forView:self.navigationController.view cache:YES]; [self.navigationController.view addSubview:settingsView.view]; [UIView commitAnimations]; } The above results in the views flipping correctly, but the subviews of the SettingsViewController are all positioned in (0, 0) and after the transition, they 'snap' into place? Is it because I instantiate and add my subviews in viewDidLoad, like this? - (void)viewDidLoad { UIImageView *imageBg = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0f, 0.0f, 320.0f, 460.0f)]; [imageBg setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"background.png"]]; [self.view addSubview:imageBg]; [imageBg release]; SettingsSubview *switchView = [[SettingsSubview alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0f, 0.0f, 320.0f, 460.0f)]; [self.view addSubview:switchView]; [switchView release]; [super viewDidLoad]; } 1: How should I correctly do the "flip" transition, from within the UIViewController in the UINavigationController, to a new UIViewController and subsequently from the new UIViewController and back to the "original" UIViewController residing on the UINavigationControllers stack? 2: Should I use a different approach, than the "viewDidLoad" method, when instantiating and adding subviews to a UIViewController? -question 2 is more of a "best practice" thing. I have seen different ways of doing it and I am having trouble either finding or understanding the life-cycle documentation and the different threads and posts on the subject. I am missing the "best practice" examples. Thank You very much for any help given:)

  • Failed to load viewstate

    - by Jen
OK have just started getting this error and I'm not sure why. I have a hosting page which has listview and a panel with a usercontrol. The listview loads up records with a linkbutton. You click the link button to edit that particular record - which gets loaded up in the formview (within the usercontrol) which goes to edit mode. After an update occurs in the formview I'm triggering an event which my hosting page is listening for. The hosting page then rebinds the listview to show the updated data. So this all works - but when I then go to click on a different linkbutton I get the below error: Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.3) Timestamp: Fri, 18 Jun 2010 03:15:54 UTC Message: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Failed to load viewstate. The control tree into which viewstate is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save viewstate during the previous request. For example, when adding controls dynamically, the controls added during a post-back must match the type and position of the controls added during the initial request. My event listener does this: protected void RatesEditDate1_EditDateRateUpdated() { if (IsDateRangeValid(txtDisplayFrom, txtDisplayTo)) { PropertyAccommodationRates1.DataBind(); } else { pnlViewAccommodationRates.Visible = false; } divEditRate.Visible = false; } When I click my link button - it should be hitting this but the second time round it errors before hitting the breakpoint: protected void RatesEditDate1_EditDateRateSelected(DateTime theDateTime) { // make sure everything else is invisible pnlAddAccommodation.Visible = false; pnlViewEditAccommodations.Visible = false; RatesEditDate1.TheDateTime = theDateTime; RatesEditDate1.PropertyID = (int)Master.PropertyId; if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(Accommodations1.SelectedValue)) { RatesEditDate1.AccommodationTypeID = Convert.ToInt32(Accommodations1.SelectedValue); } else { RatesEditDate1.AccommodationTypeID = 0; } divEditRate.Visible = true; } So my listview appears to be being rebound successfully - I can see my changed data.. I just don't know why its complaining about viewstate when I click on the linkbutton. Or is there a better way to update the data in my listview? My listview and formview are bound to objectdata sources (in case that matters) Thanks for the help!

  • Backgroundworker abort

    - by MazarD
Hi, I recently tried to use backgroundworker instead of "classic" threads and I'm realizing that it's causing, at least for me, more problems than solutions. I have a backgroundworker running a synchronous read (in this case from serialPort) and getting blocked around 30 seconds in 1 code line, then cancellationpending isn't the solution. I'm seeing that if the application gets closed at this point (either with the cross button and Application.Exit()) the process keeps zombie forever. I need a way to force abort or to kill the backgroundworker thread.

  • MPMoviePlayerController fullscreen movie inside a UIWebView

    - by Wakazors
Hi, I'm having a problem with the UIWebView and MPMoviePlayerController: My UIWebView have a movie inside the html (it's a local html file), I'm using html5 and a video tag for the video. The problem is: the user can set the video to play inline, directly on the html or he can tap the fullscreen button, but I need to know if the video is playing fullscreen. I've tried to use MPMoviePlayerDidEnterFullscreenNotification but with no success. Does anybody know how to get this notification from the webview? Thanks in advance

  • deploying applications that use LINQ to Entities.

    - by Luiscencio
HI COMUNITY!!!! I want to use L2E since it s very convenient to my company's apps, I created a demo project, the demo does run on every machine but when I, lets say, press a button that has some code that uses the entity I get this error: specified store provider cannot be found in the configuration, or is not valid. note that I get this error only on machines that does not have VS2008 installed, on these machines (the ones with VS2008) the demo works well. any advice is appreciated.
