  • Oracle - pl sql selecting from SYS_REFCURSOR

    I have a function that returns a SYS_REFCURSOR that has a single row but multiple columns. What I'm looking to do is to be able to have a SQL query that has nested sub-queries using the column values returned in the SYS_REFCURSOR. Alternative ideas such as types, etc would be appreciated.     I am trying to understand interfaces in Java and have this task to do which I am a stack with. It must be something easy, but I don't seem to see the solution. Interface contains a few methods, one of them should return true if all elements of this set are also in the set. I.e. public interface ISet{ //some methods boolean isSubsetOf(ISet x); } Then the class: public class myClass implements ISet{ ArrayList<Integer> mySet; public myClass{ mySet = new ArrayList<Integer>(); } //some methods public boolean isSubsetOf(ISet x){ //method body } } What do I need to write in method body? How do I check that the instance of myClass is a subset of ISet collection?     Hi all, I have been implementing a new project which I have decided to use the repository pattern and Entity Framework. I have sucessfuly implemented basic CRUD methods and I have no moved onto my DeepLoads. From all the examples and documentation I can find to do this I need to call something like this: public Foo DeepLoadFoo() { return (from foobah in Context.Items.Include("bah").Include("foo").Include("foofoo") select foo).Single(); } This doesnt work for me, maybe I am trying to be too lazy but what I would like to achieve would be something along the lines of this: public Foo DeepLoadFoo(Foo entity, Type[] childTypes) { return (from foobah in Context.Items.Include(childTypes).Single(); } Is anything like this possible, or am I stuck with include.include.include.include?     I am trying to write a simple wrapper around a connection pointer that will return it to the pool when the wrapper is destroyed. but it wont compile because the ConnectionPool and AutoConn need each other to be declared. I tried to use forward deceleration but it didn't work. how do I solve this?     I'm trying to do something like this: private class aClass { private ArrayList<String> idProd; aClass(ArrayList<String> prd) { this.idProd=new ArrayList<String>(prd); } public ArrayList<String> getIdProd() { return this.idProd; } } So if I have multiple instances of ArrayLIst<String> (st1 ,st2 ,st3) and I want to make new objects of aClass: { aClass obj1,obj2,obj3; obj1=new aClass(st1); obj2=new aClass(st2); obj3=new aClass(st3); } Will all of the aClass objects return st3 if I access the method getIdProd() for each of them(obj1..obj3)? Is an ArrayList as an instance variable automatically declared static?

  • Duplicates in a sorted java array

    I have to write a method that takes an array of ints that is already sorted in numerical order then remove all the duplicate numbers and return an array of just the numbers that have no duplicates. That array must then be printed out so I can't have any null pointer exceptions. The method has to be in O(n) time, can't use vectors or hashes. This is what I have so far but it only has the first couple numbers in order without duplicates and then just puts the duplicates in the back of the array.     For example, if you have n lists of bools of the same length, then elementwise boolean AND should return another list of that length that has True in those positions where all the input lists have True, and False everywhere else. It's pretty easy to write, i just would prefer to use a builtin if one exists (for the sake of standardization/readability).     I'm trying to style a table row using both cycle and a helper, like shown: <tr class= <%= cycle("list-line-odd #{row_class(item)}", "list-line-even #{row_class(item)}")%> > However, when I do this, the resulting HTML is: <tr class = "list-line-odd" lowest-price> with the return from the helper method not enclosed in the quotes, and therefore not recognized. Here's the helper I'm using: def row_class(item) if item.highest_price > 0 and item.lowest_price > 0 and item.highest_price != item.lowest_price if item.current_price >= item.highest_price "highest-price" elsif item.current_price <= item.lowest_price "lowest-price" end end end I must be missing something obvious, but I just can't figure out how to wrap both the result of cycle and the helper method return in the same set of quotes.     I have this struct; #define BUFSIZE 10 struct shared_data { pthread_mutex_t th_mutex_queue; int count; int data_buffer_allocation[BUFSIZE]; int data_buffers[BUFSIZE][100]; }; and I want to allocate one of the data_buffers for a process, for that purpose I execute the following function; int allocate_data_buffer(int pid) { int i; for (i = 0; i < BUFSIZE; i++) { if (sdata_ptr->data_buffer_allocation[i] == NULL) { sdata_ptr->data_buffer_allocation[i] = pid; return i; } } return -1; } but the compiler warns me that I'm comparing pointer to a value. When I put a & in front of sdata_ptr it calms down but I'm not sure if it will work. Isn't what I wrote above supposed to be true?

(ATM, a custom proxy is required at the client-side) AFAICS, there are 2 ways of doing it a) Return the link to a web-accessible location b) Encode the PDF and include it in the XML In my circumstance, a) will require 2 trips from the client, the first to get the path and the second to get the file. However, wrt b), this link (http://www.coderanch.com/t/279020/Streams/java/wrting-bytearray-xml-file#1283263) suggests that it isn't a good idea to encode a PDF, though without explanation. I'd be grateful if someone would offer recommendations of the above (and potentially, other alternatives). Many thx Simon

Are there any pitfalls to be aware of?     I want to be able to check if I can edit a cell in a database with a new object Example method declaration: something.isValid(Object newObject, row, column); Example cases: If the editing cell stores an Number and I give it a String, the method will return false... If the editing cell has to be different than every other entry and the new object is the same as something else, the method will also return false.... My main goal... I want to check a whole row, and if everything is valid, I will edit the whole row. Right now, the only way I can find out if I can actually edit something is by actually editing it and seeing if I get an error.

    Is there a way to return the users location as a string from a model? I have a model thats job is to download same JSON data from a web service. When sending in my request I need to add ?lat=LAT_HERE&lng=LNG_HERE to the end of the string. I have seen tons of examples using the map or constantly updating a label. But I cant find out how to explicitly return the lat and lng values. Im only 2 days into iPhone dev so go easy on me :)

  • Why is FF on OS X loosing jQuery-UI in click event handler?

    In a web page using jQUery 1.7.1 and jQUery-UI 1.8.18, if I output $.ui in an alert box when the document is ready, I get [object Object]. However when using Firefox, if I output $.ui in a click event handler, I get 'undefined' as result. With other browsers (latest versions of IE, Chrome and Safari), the result is still [object Object] when clicking on the link. I created a new post for the sake of clarity, since the real question is different from the original one now that pin-pointed where the problem resided. UPDATE: IF I replace my alerts with simply alert($); I get this result for alert A: function (selector, context) { return new jQuery.fn.init(selector, context, rootjQuery); } and this one for alert B: function (a, b) { return new d.fn.init(a, b, g); } This does not make sense to me, although I may not be understanding well enough what $ is... UPDATE 2: I can only reproduce this problem using Firefox on OS X. On Firefox running on Windows 7, everything is fine.

If a row in EmployeeInfo has no related row in LeaveApplications, i want to return its SUM(dbo.LeaveApplications.DaysAuthorised) AS DaysTaken column as NULL or may be even put a 0. With the above query, if i remove the where condition, am able to achieve what i want, but problem is i also want to return related rows from LeaveApplication only if ApplicationDate is in the current year. Now with the where condition added, am only able to get rows from EmployeeInfo only if they have corresponding rows in LeaveApplications yet i just wanted rows all in EmployeeInfo
