  • How to change colors for ListView, alternating row color?

    I have a couple of list views, one uses TextViews laid out with xml, the other uses a custom class derived from View. The default halloween color scheme is pretty ugly. How can I change the background and selection colors for the list elements. Ideally, I'd like to be able to do this in code not xml, to handle the custom view. Thanks, Gerry

  • defining class relationships in c# and visual studio 2010

    Hey guys, in Visual Studio 2010 I can point to a bunch of classes and create a diagram. However, the diagram by default doesn't recognize any relationships between the classes, except inheritance and implementations. Is there a way, ideally by using Attributes, to define class and property relationships and associations in such a way that it is picked up by a new Class Diagram automatically? cheers!

    I am currently reading "Beginning CakePHP:From Novice to Professional" by David Golding. At one point I have to use the CLI-command "cake bake", I get the welcome-screen but when I try to bake e.g. a Controller I get the following error messages: Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/blog/cake/libs/model/datasources/dbo/dbo_mysql.php on line 117 Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/blog/cake/libs/model/datasources/dbo/dbo_mysql.php on line 122 Warning: mysql_get_server_info(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/blog/cake/libs/model/datasources/dbo/dbo_mysql.php on line 130 Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/blog/cake/libs/model/datasources/dbo/dbo_mysql.php on line 154 Error: Your database does not have any tables. I suspect that the error-messages has to do with php trying to access the wrong mysql-socket, namely the default osx mysql-socket - instead of the one that MAMP uses.     Hello, I have declared my own type: data Book = Bookinfo { bookId :: Int, title :: String } deriving(Show) and now: x = Bookinfo it is all ok, valid statement but making bookId x throws an error. If I would be able to handle errors in Haskell that would be ok but right now I cant do this So Im curious how to make not specified values of fields take default value, and what exactly value is there when I'm not giving vcalues of fields in construcotr ? thanks for help

  • Is there any reason to prefer UTF-16 over UTF-8?

    Examining the attributes of UTF-16 and UTF-8, I can't find any reason to prefer UTF-16. However, checking out Java and C#, it looks like strings and chars there default to UTF-16. I was thinking that it might be for historic reasons, or perhaps for performance reasons, but couldn't find any information. Anyone knows why these languages chose UTF-16? And is there any valid reason for me to do that as well?

  • UITableViewCell color issues with custom table view background

    I have a UITableView with a custom background image set like this: self.tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"mybg.png"]]; The background appears fine, but my UITableViewCells (default cells, not custom) have some sort of weird tint to them, and the UILabel containing the "New Project" text also seems to have some sort of background behind it. How can I remove this? I've already tried: cell.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; cell.textLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; Thanks

  • Build file generated by android broken?

    I generated a build file for an Android project using the android tool (Im using the build file in Hudson to automate builds). However, in Eclipse the build.xml file is flagged as having an error so my project no longer builds in Eclipse - it says that the default target ("help") doesn't exist (its in one of the Android build files referenced in build.xml and copmmand-line builds work just fine).
