  I just install rails 3 and all gems that it need, but when I try to start server, it says about problem in boot script.   Using the trait \Knp\DoctrineBehaviors\Model\Translatable\Translation inside an Entity, I see that the property currentLocale is never setted , so we always obtain the default locale ('en') in all the calls to $this->translate(). If I change this getDefaultLocale, all the translations are made correctly, so I think that is no problem with the fallback. I tried debug the currentLocaleCallable. I see that if I put a "var_dump ($this-container-get('request'));" in the contructor of currentLocaleCallable, the request have a locale to null. • Raphael js text positioning: centering text in a circle

  Hey everyone, I am using Raphael js to draw circled numbers. The problem is that each number has a different width/height so using one set of coordinates to center the text isn't working. The text displays differently between IE, FF, and safari. Is there a dynamic way to find the height/width of the number and center it accordingly?   I'm following a tutorial for creating an animation using Xcode Version 4.5.2 in Mountain Lion 10.8.2. When trying to build the code below, I get a Parse Error Unexpected '@' in program showing up for the 'hopAnimation=' line. While searching, I have found examples that build simple animations in a different way, but nothing that seems to address this particular problem. I'm a noob to XCode programming and if anyone could help me correct the syntax, I would highly appreciate it.   Hi all: I am trying to work out how to use Adam Shaw's brilliant jQuery plugin - FullCalendar to add an event on our project : online balloon ordering page under development Basically, if you click on "step1" and choose "pickup in shop" , the page will bring you to the calendar view, where you could click on the upper-right corner at the "week" button to alter the view to a weekly basis. What I am trying to achieve is when client clicks on an empty slot in a day, she can create her event on that spot. Here is my code in custom.js: dayClick: function() { var n = parseInt(this.className.match(/fc\-slot(\d+)/)[1]); alert('a day has been clicked on slot ' + n); //trying to add an event using the renderEvent() method. $('#' + type + 'Calendar').fullCalendar('renderEvent', { title : 'my pickup slot', start : new Date(y,m,d, 12, 30), end : new Date(y,m,d, 13, 00), }); } It tries to use the FullCalendar's API method renderEvent so to create such an event. However, although my code runs without error and I can see the prompt saying which slot has been clicked, It wouldn't render such an new event on calendar. Is there another way to do this or my code does something wrong? Any suggestion would be much appreciated, thanks a lot in advance.

  Hello, I have a method that needs to parse through a bunch of large PNG images pixel by pixel (the PNGs are 600x600 pixels each). It seems to work great on the Simulator, but on the device (iPad), i get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS in some internal memory copying function. It seems the size is the culprit because if I try it on smaller images, everything seems to work.   I'm trying to call a WCF web service hosted by IIS using jQuery. I can call it fine without any parameters, and I can also call it fine with a GET request that includes my parameter, but as soon as I try to send in the request via POST, the call is failing. The web service is currently nothing but: [OperationContract, WebInvoke] public ValidationResultSummary TestValidateOn( object day) { return null; } I've set the parameter to object, to make sure the issue isn't something with type coercion. With a breakpoint in the web service, I know the call without parameters as well as the GET call with param succeeds; in the latter the expected value is sent up.   I have a requirement where I have to display some data (from a custom db) and let the user export it to an excel file. I decided to use the ReportViewer control present in Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer. I rather not bind a repeater and write my own export to excel code. I want to use something which is already built by Microsoft? Any ideas on what I can reuse?   Hello, I was trying to enable navigation based on a selected row. • MVC2 client/server validation of DateTime/Date using DataAnnotations

  The following are true: One of my columns (BirthDate) is of type Date in SQL Server. This very same column (BirthDate) is of type DateTime when EF generates the model. I am using JQuery UI Datepicker on the client side to be able to select the BirthDate. BirthDate { get; set; } There are two issues with this: This will not pass server side validation (if I enable client side validation it works just fine). I am assuming that this is because the regular expression doesn't take into account hours, minutes, seconds as the value in the text box has already been cast as a DateTime on the server by the time validation occurs. If data already exists in the database and is read into the model and displayed on the page the BirthDate field shows hours, minutes, seconds in my text box (which I don't want). I can always use ToShortDateString() but I am wondering if there is some cleaner approach that I might be missing. Thanks

  Nevrona Designs' Rave Reports is a Report Engine for use by Embarcadero's Delphi IDE. This is what I call the Rave Endless Loop bug. In Rave Reports version 6.5.0 (VCL10) that comes bundled with Delphi 2006, there is a nortorious bug that plagues many Rave report developers. If you have a non-empty dataset, and the data rows for this dataset fit exactly into a page (that is to say there are zero widow rows), then upon PrintPreview, Rave will get stuck in an infinite loop generating pages. • C# Convert Excel Range to Dataset or Datatable, etc.

  I have an Excel spreadsheet that will sit out on a network share drive. It needs to be accessed by my Winforms C# 3.0 application (many users could be using the app and hitting this spreadsheet at the same time). There is a lot of data on one worksheet. This data is broken out into areas that I have named as ranges. I need to be able to access these ranges individually, return each range as a dataset, and then bind it to a grid. I have found examples that use OLE and have got these to work. However, I have seen some warnings about using this method, plus at work we have been using Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel as the standard thus far. I don't really want to stray from this unless I have to. Our users will be using Office 2003 on up as far as I know. I can get the range I need with the following code: MyDataRange = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Range)MyWorkSheet.get_Range("MyExcelRange", Type.Missing); The OLE way was nice as it would take my first row and turn those into columns. My ranges (12 total) are for the most part different from each other in number of columns. Didn't know if this info would affect any recommendations. Is there any way to use Interop and get the returned range back into a dataset? Thanks for your help.

Can't imagine that's the cause though (works in v2 of the maps). Have I found a bug or is there something wrong in my code? Thanks in advance!

  I want to catch Memory Access Violation in SQL Server Compact Edition like this described at http://debuggingblog.com/wp/2009/02/18/memory-access-violation-in-sql-server-compact-editionce/ The suggested config is: CRASH Quiet MyApp.exe NoDumpOnFirstChance clr;av FullDump gn I download latest Debugging Tools and observe what Microsoft rewrite adplus tool into managed code and change syntax of config File. I rewrite config file like this: <ADPlus Version="2"> <Settings> <RunMode>Crash</RunMode> <Option>Quiet</Option> <Option>NoDumpOnFirst</Option> <Sympath>c:\symbols\</Sympath> <OutputDir>c:\work\output\</OutputDir> <ProcessName>c:\work\app\output\MyApp.exe</ProcessName> </Settings> <Exceptions><!--to get the full dump on clr access violation--> <Exception Code="clr;av"> <Actions1>FullDump</Actions1> <ReturnAction1>gn</ReturnAction1> </Exception> </Exceptions> </ADPlus> And I get error "Couldn't find exception with code: clr;av". If I understand right It didn't load sos extension, but I can't find the right section and syntax that I should use to load it. adplus_old.vbs - for some reasons didn't launch process on Windows 7. WinDBG 6.12.0002.633 X86 ADPlus Engine Version: 7.01.002 02/27/2009 Maybe someone has a working example of config of debugging .NET app with latest adplus.exe?
