• Excel Plug-In Assembly Loading Problem (Access Denied)

  I am developing an Excel 2003 add-in using Visual Studio 2008. My add-in loads fine; however, it loads plug-ins from other C# DLL's. I would like this to be done dynamically at run time so referencing them during development is something I would rather not do. Anyways, anytime I try to load a DLL from the Excel add-in at start up, it throws a security exception. This particular example is HTML Agility Pack. It's not a plug-in but a plug-in's dependency. But nonetheless it won't even load: {System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'HtmlAgilityPack, Version=1.4.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=bd319b19eaf3b43a' or one of its dependencies. • sIfr (3.436) and IE8 - My h1 and h2 are flickering

  I am using sIfr (3.436) for my H1 and H2 tags. In IE8 the text flickers and jumps around alot. Any help to lead in the right direction is appreciated! • How can I use a delimiter in wmic output, separating columns?

  I want to fetch Windows Hotfix listing with some format, whose output can be separated with some delimiter. so far I found a wmic command which gives me a desired output but the problem is the \s delimiter is not going to work here. Is there a way I can place some , or anyother character, which I can later use in java program to get individual columns?   i write a method and when i add some insignificant code it works faster, like these : array[1]=array[1]; array[0]=array[0]; array[3]=array[3]; array[2]=array[2]; i use double t=System.currentTimeMillis(); at first to record the time. then call the method and use System.out.println(System.currentTimeMillis()-t); in the end. when i delete the code (array[1]=array[1];...) the cost time is 1035.0 ms,but if i add these code, the cost time become 898.0ms. here is my method and my code. • Mimic CALayer shadow properties found in iPhone OS 3.2 for OS 3.1

  The CALayer shadow properties like shadowOffset, shadowRadius, shadowColor are not available in iPhone OS versions below 3.2 and I'm wondering how I could mimic that functionality for use with 3.1 and below. I want to use this to be able to add drop shadows to UIViews in a clean way so that the shadows are drawn at layer level somehow, and not by drawing it in a view's -(void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect method which requires to shrink the actual views frame to accomodate for the shadow. (This shrinking approach have been proposed in the other UIView drop shadow related questions I found here on SO). I was thinking a layered approach would be cleaner. For example I tried creating subclassing CALayer to which I added a separate shadow layer as a sublayer, but then that would be drawn on top of whatever was draw in the drawRect: method of the UIView that had the main layer as backing layer. I've also tried implementing the subclass CALayer's drawInContext: something like this, - (void)drawInContext:(CGContextRef)ctx { // code to draw shadow for a frame the size of the layer's frame [super drawInContext:ctx]; } But then the shadow is still clipped to the current clipping bounding box of the context, which seems to be the layers own frame. I also had some idea of redirecting the drawing of the main layer to a sublayer, which would be placed above another sublayer which had the shadow drawn onto it. Then I would probably get rid of the clipping and the shadow would be farthest away. But I couldn't really wrap my head around how I would do that, and it doesn't really feel like a clean approach. Any ideas on how to go about this? Just to make clear how my UIView drop shadow related question is different from the other ones I found here on SO; I do not want to shrink the actual drawing frame of a UIView to accomodate for a shadow. I want it to somehow be on a separate layer in the background, whithout beeing clipped.

• Capture keystrokes (e.g., function keys) while a messagebox is up

  We have a large WinForms app, and there is a built-in bug reporting system that can be activated during testing via the F5 Key. I am capturing the F5 key with .Net's PreFilterMessage system. This works fine on the main forms, modal dialog boxes, etc. Unfortunately, the program also displays windows messageboxes when it needs to. When there is a bug with that, e.g., wrong text in the messagebox or it shouldn't be there, the messagefilter isn't executed at all when the messagebox is up! I realize I could fix it by either rewriting my own messagebox routine, or kicking off a separate thread that polls GetAsyncKeyState and calls the error reporter from there. However I was hoping for a method that was less of a hack. • Axis2 attachments are vanishing in the response

  I am using axis2 to come up with a basic web service which will get the file name as parameter and produces a response SOAP packet which will have the file attached along with the SOAP. • Debugger Visualizer, ElementHost, and Edit and Continue problems

  I recently wrote a custom Debugger Visualizer for Visual Studio 2008 for one of the custom types in my application. The UI for the visualizer is written in WPF and is hosted in an element host and shown using the IDialogVisualizerService windowService object. Everything works great, and my visualizer loads and shows the relevant information, but if try to "edit and continue" in my application after loading the visualizer, Visual Studio crashes with no useful error message. In trying to debug this I removed almost all of my code from the solution to the point where I was only serializing a string with the ObjectSource and displaying just an empty element host and I still get the crash on edit and continue. If I remove the element host and show a WinForms control or form there is no crash. I have set hibernate.jdbc.batch_size=20... i need this operation to be as fast as possible, ideally there would only be one roundtrip to the database. How can i do this?

  Hi. I had an old (but great) app using NHibernate 1.0.2. Worked like a charm. But then I decided to upgrade to NHibernate 2.1.2. Had to change some stuff, worked great also. Problem is, I founded out that new version works in some machines and do not work in others. What the heck?   I have some code in an XML file that I load and compile at runtime in an application. This works fine on Windows, but under Mono I get assembly reference errors. The specific errors I get in the compiler results are: cannot find metadata file 'system.dll' at line 0 column 0. cannot find metadata file 'system.xml.dll' at line 0 column 0. Mono obviously doesn't like the way I add referenced assemblies to the code I'm compiling for system.xml and system.xml.dll. The other two assemblies add fine, which is no surprise because they're the code that the compiler is actually executing from and exist in the executable directory. Any clue what I need to do to fix this? Maybe I could just drop those DLLs in the executable directory, but that feels like a dumb idea.

  Hi, I'm looking for a way to simulate a projector in wpf 3D : i've these "in" parameters : beam shape : a black and white bitmap file beam size ( ex : 30 °) beam color beam intensity ( dimmer ) projector position (x,y,z) beam position (pan(x),tilt(y) relative to projector) First i was thinking of using light object but it seem that wpf can't do that So, now i think that i can make for each projector a polygon from my bitmap... First i need to convert the black and white bitmap to vector. Only Simple shape ( bubble, line,dot,cross ...) Is there any WPF way to do that ? Or maybe a external program file (freeware); then i need to build the polygon, with the shape of the converted bitmap , color , size , orientation in parameter. i don't know how can i defined the lenght of the beam , and if it can be infiny ... To show the beam result, i think of making a room ( floor , wall ...) and beam will end to these wall... i don't care of real light render ( dispersion ...) but the scene render has to be real time and at least 15 times / second (with probably from one to 100 projectors at the same time), information about position, angle,shape,color will be sent for each render... Well so, i need sample for that, i guess that all of these things could be useful for other people If you have sample code : Convert Bitmap to vector Extrude vectors from one point with a angle parameter until collision of a wall Set x,y position of the beam depend of the projector position Set Alpha intensity of the beam, color Maybe i'm totally wrong and WPF is not ready for that , so advise me about other way ( xna,d3D ) with sample of course ;-) Thanks you
