  • CodeContracts: How to fullfill Require in Ctor using this() call?

    I'm playing around with Microsoft's CodeContracts and encountered a problem I was unable to solve. I've got a class with two constructors: public Foo (public float f) { Contracts.Require(f > 0); } public Foo (int i) : this ((float)i) {} The example is simplified. I don't know how to check the second constructor's f for being 0. Is this even possible with Contracts?

    Hi! I'm looking for a tool that will tell/resolve for every function all the call paths (call it "routes") to it. For example: void deeper(int *pNumber) { *pNumber++; } void gateA(int *pNumber) { deeper(pNumber); } void gateB(int *pNumber) { gateA(pNumber); } void main() { int x = 123; gateA(&x); gateB(&x); } See? I need a tool that will tell me all the routes to deeper(), and more if possible. By saying "more" I mean that it will tell me if the pointer is the same as been provided to the calling function. This will greatly save me time. Thanks!

  • unittest in python: ignore an import from the code I want to test

    I have a python program that imports pythoncom (and uses pythoncom.CoCreateInstance from it). I want to create a unittest for the program logic without it importing pythoncom (so I can run the test on Linux as well). What options are there? Can I do it without modifying the system under test? What I found so far: sys.modules["pythoncom"] = "test" import module_that_imports_pythoncom My problem with it is if I have: from pythoncom.something import something I'll get: ImportError: No module named something.something And sys.modules["something.something"] or sys.modules["pythoncom.something.something"] doesn't work. Any ideas?

    I am trying to make a simple animation using JQuery. I have tried adding the script externally(external file) and internally(within script tags). I have testing if the page is recognizing the script using the alert function, but the script is not executing.     Hi, I am writing a C++ number crunching application, where the bottleneck is a function that has to calculate for double: template<class T> inline T sqr(const T& x){return x*x;} and another one that calculates Base dist2(const Point& p) const { return sqr(x-p.x) + sqr(y-p.y) + sqr(z-p.z); } These operations take 80% of the computation time. I wonder if you can suggest approaches to make it faster, even if there is some sort of accuracy loss Thanks

  • Can I suppress or enforce URLs to be prefaced with http:// in ALL browsers?

    I want to ensure that regardless of what browser a user is in, they all see the EXACT same characters in the URL bar. Most browsers show the preceding protocol type in the URL bar. However, Chrome for example truncates http:// (not sure about https) and starts with the domain name, ie: Chrome: stackoverflow.com/questions/ask Safari: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/ask So, is there a way to either suppress the http:// in all browsers, or even enforce it in all browsers? Preferably suppress.

  • Stop Entity Framework from updating edmx model with a column that isn't needed

    I have rowguids in all my tables to help with change tracking in all my tables. I don't want/need these tables in my edmx or my entities. However, I do still need to make changes to other things sometimes so everytime i go to update model from database in the edmx it adds all the rowguids in all my tables everytime and i have to manually delete each one. Is there a way to handle this from happening? Is there a way I can maybe edit the T4 to maybe ignore that 'rowguid' column? Database first Entity framework
