  • How to add animation on open of a Jquery SimpleModal?

    The animation-enabled example in the SimpleModal site has this animation: 1. Fade in the overlay 2. Slide down the modal div This is the code: $("#the-div").modal({ onOpen: function (dialog) { dialog.overlay.fadeIn('fast', function () { dialog.data.hide(); dialog.container.show('fast', function () { dialog.data.slideDown('fast'); }); }); }}); I want this animation instead: 1. Just display the modal 2. Fade in the overlay Alas, simply removing the 2nd parameter of dialog.overlay.fadeIn() from the code above doesn't work. I also tried removing the parameters of dialog.container.show(), also changing it to dialog.container.open(). I've tried other combinations of the code, to no avail. How do I achieve the animation that I wish?

  • OpenCV, Python (ctypes), and OS X 10.5: dylib errors/confusion

    I have tried two brands of ctypes (ctypes-opencv and another) wrappers for OpenCV (2.0 from svn head), can use Python and OpenCV in the Python console, but whenever I try to import the packages (from ctypes_opencv import *) from another Python file, I get the following error message: OSError: dlopen(/usr/local/lib/libcv.dylib, 6): Symbol not found: __ZN2cv10fastMallocEm Referenced from: /usr/local/lib/libcv.dylib Expected in: flat namespace And some more Python errors: module body in __init__.py at line 18 from ctypes_opencv.cxcore import * module body in cxcore.py at line 80 _cxDLL, _cvDLL, _hgDLL = detect_opencv() function detect_opencv in cxcore.py at line 59 cvDLL = cdll.LoadLibrary(find_lib('cv')) function LoadLibrary in __init__.py at line 431 return self._dlltype(name) function __init__ in __init__.py at line 353 self._handle = _dlopen(self._name, mode) I most recently built OpenCV using flags the ctypes_opencv wiki recommended: ENABLE_SSE(2) OFF and BUILD_NEW_PYTHON_SUPPORT OFF. I've tried a number of flag combinations though. I also tried using the MacPorts install of OpenCV, got the same messages, uninstalled it, and now it errors out as well. :P And if that wasn't enough, I tried using the latest ctypes wrapper, but get boost-jam errors. Any help would be very much appreciated.

  • why can't .cshrc file be automatically sourced

    when I ssh to a certain linux host, although my default shell is tcsh, the .cshrc file under my home directory is not sourced at all. I can't understand why this happen, cus from my understanding, if I'm using the tcsh, the .cshrc should be anyway souced! must some magic there, please tell me if you know it. thanks in advance.

    Hi, I'm populating a listview with a list of databases on a selected SQL instance, then retrieving a value from each database (It's internal product version, column doesn't always exist) I'm calling the below function to populate the second column of the listview: item.SubItems.Add(DBVersionCheck(serverName, database.Name)) Function DBVersionCheck(ByVal SelectedInstance As String, ByVal SelectedDatabase As String) Dim m_Connection As New SqlConnection("Server=" + SelectedInstance + ";User Id=sa;Password=password;Database=" + SelectedDatabase) Dim db_command As New SqlCommand("select Setting from SystemSettings where [Setting] = 'version'", m_Connection) Try m_Connection.Open() Return db_command.ExecuteScalar().trim m_Connection.Dispose() Catch ex As Exception 'MessageBox.Show(ex.Message) Return "NA" Finally m_Connection.Dispose() End Try End Function This works fine except it's creating a connection to each database and leaving it open. My understanding is the close()\dispose() releases only the connection from the pool in ado rather than the actual connection to sql. How would I close the actual connections after I've retrieved the value? Leaving these open will create hundreds of connections to databases that will probably not be used for that session.

    So, how do we write a class over several files in action script 3? In C# there's the "partial" keyword. In C++ it's natural (you just "#include ..." all files). In Flex 3, in a component, you add this tag: <mx:Script source="myfile.as"/>. How do I split the following class into several files; package package_path { public class cSplitMeClass { public function cSplitMeClass() { } public function doX():void { // .... } public function doY():void { // .... } } } For example I want to have the doX() and doY() functions implemented in another ".as" file. Can I do this? And please, don't tell me something like "a good practice is to have them in one file" :)

How would something like this be done with jQuery? I know there's .bind and .trigger, but it seems like the only way to do this is to bind/fire events to the window object: $(window).bind('volumeChanged', fn); Is there anything better than this, more like the MooTools approach?     I have a Windows Mobile 6 ARMV4I project where I would like to get the value of the program counter. The function is declared like this: extern "C" unsigned __int32 GetPC(); My assembly code looks like this: GetPC FUNCTION EXPORT GetPC ldr r0, [r15] ; load the PC value in to r0 mov pc, lr ; return the value of r0 ENDFUNC But, when I call the GetPC() function, I get the same number every time.     heyy there i want to parse a text,let's name it 'post', and 'urlize' some strings if they contain a particular character, in a particular position. my 'pseudocode' trial would look like that: def urlize(post) for string in post if string icontains ('#') url=(r'^searchn/$', searchn, name='news_searchn'), then apply url to the string return urlize(post) i want the function to return to me the post with the urlized strings, where necessary (just like twitter does). i don't understand: how can i parse a text, and search for certain strings? is there ok to make a function especially for 'urlizing' some strings? The function should return the entire post, no matter if it has such kind of strings. is there another way Django offers? Thank you

    Hi, I am a Javascript/jQuery/Prototype newcomer and I have a page that has a Prototype function to get info from a database and put it into some input fields. This was made before I came to work on this site and now I've been asked to add a hide/show div function. I tried it in jQuery and there were clashes with the two frameworks, (as found in my previous question). My question now is, how would I go about building a show/hide function in Prototype? I think it will be easier to do it this way than to re-build the info grabber. The page I want to add this to is here. (the green "ny kunde" button should show the div directly below it newCustomer.     I'm working on an application that needs to display a context menu on screen in various scenarios. In the function I'm writing, I don't have access to any NSWindows or NSViews. I'd like to use popUpMenuPositioningItem:atLocation:inView as this function works perfectly for me in 10.6. However, we have a requirement to support 10.5, so this function isn't available to me. The feature I'm most interested in, as stated in the documentation is: If view is nil, the location is interpreted in the screen coordinate system. This allows you to pop up a menu disconnected from any window. Basically, I need to display the context menu given a location on screen, but without any associated view. Is there any way to achieve this on 10.5?

    Hello ::- ). I'm playing with some Opera User JS. I included "1jquery.min.js" in my User JS folder (1 in front because Opera loads them alphabetically). Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be working. window.onload = OnWindowLoad; $(document).ready(function() { alert ($('#area_19')); }); function OnWindowLoad () { alert ($('#area_19')); alert(document.getElementById("area_19")); } What's interesting about this code is that the first two alerts come back in NULL, but the last one does find the object! So the element definitely exists in the page, but my jQuery seems unable to get it. What's even stranger is that the jQuery "ready" function works, indicating that I do have jQuery capability. I'm quite puzzled about all this ::- /. Hopefully somebody can give me a clue ::- ).

    Hi I wanted a function to find the greatest of a list of String values passed in. I want to invoke it as Select greatest('Abcd','Efgh','Zxy','EAD') from sql server. It should return Zxy. The number of parameters is variable.Incidentally it is very similar to oracle GREATEST function. So I wrote a very simple CLR function (Vs2008) and tried to deploy it. See below public partial class UserDefinedFunctions { [Microsoft.SqlServer.Server.SqlFunction] public static SqlString Greatest(params SqlString[] p) { SqlString max=p[0]; foreach (string s in p) max = s.CompareTo(max) > 0 ? s : max; return max; } }; But when I try to compile or deploy it I get the following error Cannot find data type SqlString[]. Is it possible to satisfy my requirement using SQL CLR ?

    I have a user inputting two strings and then I want to check if there are any similar characters and if there is, get the position where the first similarity occurs, without using the find or index function. Below is what I have so far but I doesn't fully work. With what I have so far, I'm able to find the similarities but Im not sure how to find the position of those similarities without using the index function. string_a = "python" string_b = "honbe" same = [] a_len = len(string_a) b_len = len(string_b) for a in string_a: for b in string_b: if a == b: same.append(b) print (same) Right now the output is: ['h', 'o', 'n'] So basically what I am asking is, how can I find the position of those characters without using the Python Index function?

I need to have the values in array so that I can display them in a table with a column Id and another column text. My problem is that Im not able to retrieve each and every value separately.
