  • Can User have more than one roles in asp.net

    I'm developing a web application I want to use the role authentication to control different parts of the website accessibility. But my problem is say I implemented a upload and download functionality on one of the page and I want to have the ability to control a user whether they can either upload or download; or both. So, I'm not exactly sure if the role base authentication can support a user with more than one role to work the way I want it.

    This website (abc.com) slowed access from our original IP address. How do I implement my own proxy server to hide my IP while browsing abc.com?   • How can I keep one specific article always on top on the front page?

    On my joomla website, I'd like to have a "about our company" article always be the first article on the front page. I want the other articles to shift down in position as new articles are added, but to keep the "about our company" one constantly on top. I tried setting the order of that article on the front page manager to -1, but it still shifted down when I added a new article. Any ideas?

    Hi there guys! I'm starting out learning some ASP.Net programming and I'm going to be making a little community website for my friends and myself. I'm trying to pick up some good habits along the way. I was thinking of having a usercontrol and have that 'loginBox' shows the appropriate textboxes and login button, but also show his username when he is logged in. Do you think I should handle this as a user control or am I missing something as an ASP.Net newbie?

  • Selenium RC cannot test on compressed html

    In order to have the fast speed of website, the web sever compress (gzip) the html files before sending to our clients. When running selenium tests, it shows a pop-up saying: You have chosen to open ... which is a: Bin file from: http://... Would you like to save this file? "Cancel" "Save File" It seems that the compressed html file doesn't unzip and browsers recognise it as Binary file.

I've noticed that some form processors make a mess out of posted TinyURLs (converting the thing to a broken 'tinyurl": "http:\/?\/?tinyurl.com\/?whatever", "ok": tr') while leaving alone other plain URLs. I've seen it happen in WordPress, and I've seen it here on SO (eg.: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2508690/whats-the-most-efficient-way-to-setup-a-multi-lingual-website - second comment to first answer). Has anybody looked into what component or function is doing this? Is there a way to prevent it?

Depending on the country extension of the domain, I want to route to a specific subfolder while keeping the active domain!     Hi there, From the Jobeet tutorial provided in Symfony website, I found out that I can load fixtures data each time I run unit test by using this script: Doctrine_Core::loadData(sfConfig::get('sf_test_dir').'/fixtures'); However, I want to delete and reload all records from database each time I run a unit test. Currently, I'm doing this manually (Run symfony doctrine:build --all before each test). Can someone provided me a correct way to do this?
