• SQL Server 2008 R2 installation Error "Not all privileges or groups referenced are assigned to the caller"

  Im getting an error half way through an SQL Server 2008 r2 installation. The error states Not all privileges or groups referenced are assigned to the caller. it asks to retry or cancel. Upon trying both, the error message returns and I must cntrl-alt-delete to end the process. I have checked all permissions associated with local account, network domain account and ran installation as administrator. I have searched on the web and other people are having this problem too but I cant find a solution. so I turn to the experts, anyone encounter this error??

• Why I am getting following error when trying to start SDK manager?

  I have a 64 bit- 20 GB Ubuntu partition which has very less usable space. So I have put Eclipse in my Ubuntu and downloaded sdks to a folder in my another partition. So when I try to start sdk manager, I am getting the following error in my console: Unexpected exception 'Cannot run program "/media/Data/android-sdks/platform-tools/adb": error=13, Permission denied' while attempting to get adb version from '/media/Data/android-sdks/platform-tools/adb' I have run chmod recursively on android-sdks directory. If I change the address for sdks to Ubuntu partition, sdk manager starts successfully. Is there anything I can do other than increasing the partition size? Thanks

• Hibernate: Dirty Checking and Only Update of Dirty Attributes?

  Hello Experts, in "good old JDBC days" I wrote a lot of SQL Queries that did very targeted updates of only the "attributes/members" that were actually changed: For Example having an object with the following members: public String name; public String address; public Date date; If only date was changed in some Business Method I would only issue an SQL UPDATE for the date member. ==It seems however (thats my "impression" of hibernate) that when working with a standard Hibernate mapping (mapping the full class), even updates of only one single member lead to a full update of the object in SQL Statements generated by Hibernate. My Questions are: 1.) Is this observation correct, that hibernate DOES NOT intelligently check (in a fully mapped class), what member(s) where changed and then only issue updates for the specific changed members, but rather always will update (in the generated SQL Update Statement) all mapped members (of a class), even if they were not changed (in case the object is dirty due to one member being dirty...) 2.) What can I do to make Hibernate only update those members, that have been changed? I am searching for a solution to have hibernate only update the member that actually changed. (I know hibernate does some big work on doing dirty-checking, but as far as I know this dirtychecking is only relevant to identify if the object as whole is dirty, not what single member is dirty.) • Checking when two headers are included at the same time.

  Hi, I need to do an assertion based on two related macro preprocessor #define's declared in different header files... The codebase is huge and it would be nice if I could find a place to put the assertion where the two headers are already included, to avoid polluting namespaces unnecessarily. Checking just that a file includes both explicitly might not suffice, as one (or both) of them might be included in an upper level of a nesting include's hierarchy. I know it wouldn't be too hard to write an script to check that, but if there's already a tool that does the job, the better. Example: file foo.h #define FOO 0xf file bar.h #define BAR 0x1e I need to put somewhere (it doesn't matter a lot where) something like this: #if (2*FOO) != BAR #error "foo is not twice bar" #endif Yes, I know the example is silly, as they could be replaced so one is derived from the other, but let's say that the includes can be generated from different places not under my control and I just need to check that they match at compile time... And I don't want to just add one include after the other, as it might conflict with previous code that I haven't written, so that's why I would like to find a file where both are already present. In brief: how can I find a file that includes (direct or indirectly) two other files? Thanks!

  Need help. I am trying to automate error notifications to be sent in mailers. For that I am querying the sysssislog table. I have pasted an "Execute SQl task" on the package event handler "On error". For testing purpose, I am deliberately trying to load duplicate keys in a table which consists of a Primary key column(so as to get an error). But instead of having just one error, "Violation of primary key constraint", SSIS records 3 in the table. PFA the screenshot as well.   Hi all, I'm building my program with -pedantic flag, which causes an extra ';' error (because of a third-party header using a few macros inconsistently; the error is not shown when -pedantic is off). I don't really feel like turning -pedantic off, and neither do I want to edit the header. Is there any way to suppress this exact error? Like a -Wno-annoying-semicolon-error compiler switch or something?

  I'm using jsdom with node.js and I'm trying to get it to provide me with some indication that an http error has occurred. I've set up a test server that simply returns an http 500 header for all requests, but when I attempt to load it with jsdom, jsdom doesn't throw any error and doesn't seem to provide me with any information that would identify that an http 500 error was returned. What's the best way to detect an http 500 error?

  Hi there, I'm relatively new to java, I'm certain the error is trivial. But can't for the life of me spot it. I have an end of term exam on monday and currently trying to get to grips with past papers! Anyway heregoes, in another method (ALGO_1) I search over elements of and check the value H_NAME equals a value entered in the main. When I attempt to run the code I get a null pointer exception, also upon trying to print (with System.out.println etc) the H_NAME value after each for loop in the snippet I also get a null statement returned to me. I am fairly certain that the collection is simply not storing the data gathered up by the Scanner. But then again when I check the collection size with size() it is about the right size. Either way I'm pretty lost and would appreciate the help. Main questions I guess to ask are: from the readBackground method is the data.add in the wrong place? is the snippet simply structured wrongly? oh and another point when I use System.out.println to check the Background object values name, starttime, increment etc they print out fine. • Is there a way to bypass the jQuery error handler?

  If my Ajax call returns a successful result, but while processing the result I cause an exception, the error handler fires. This seems counter intuitive to me as I think the error handler should only fire when an error occurs as a result of making the Ajax call or via a server-side error. I am trying to use the Ajax function in a unit test so I would like to tell the difference between the two different failure scenarios.

  Hi!, I have setup svnserve server (1.6.5,plain, without apache) on Fedora. I start the svnserve with the command 'svnserve -d --foreground --listen-port=3690 -r /usr/local/svn-repos/proj-test' When user trying to checkout working copy from the local machine with command 'svn checkout svn://127.0.0.1/proj-test' gets following error svn: URL 'svn://127.0.0.1/proj-test' doesn't exists but, 'svn checkout svn://localhost/proj-test' works. I am curious to know why using 127.0.0.1 with svn:// fails? Thanks. Banani

  I am working on an open-source application called FrontlineSMS which can be interfaced with GSM modems to send and receive SMS. The windows installer that is available through their website works fine. Since i wanted to modify it, I got the source code and built the jar and tried to launch it. When I plug in the GSM modem and launch the application, it sometimes detects the GSM device and i am even able to send and receive SMS. Or else 1.) • Android -- Can't play any videos (mp4/mov/3gp/etc.)?

  Hello all, I'm having great difficulty getting my Android application to play videos from the SD card. It doesn't matter what size, bitrate, video format, or any other setting I can think of, neither the emulator nor my G1 will play anything I try to encode. I've also tried a number of videos from the web (various video formats, bitrates, with and without audio tracks, etc.), and none of those work either. All I keep getting is a dialog box that says: "Cannot play video" "Sorry, this video cannot be played." There are errors reported in LogCat, but I don't understand them and I've tried searching the Internet for further explanations without any luck.   I tried to install IIS and to my surprise the feature/components lists was blank =[. • Windows 7 / Ubuntu Dualboot GRUB Problem.

  I'd like to first say ahead of time that I'm running a RAID-0 Setup. 1.First of all, I'm glad Ubuntu 9.10 installed flawlessly and detected my RAID-0 setup just fine. The issue I'm having now is that I already had Windows 7 installed and made a small 12GB partition for Linux/Swap. I grabbed EasyBCD 2.0 to edit the W7 bootloader and configured it to use dual boot Grub2 because before it didn't even show the option for Ubuntu. The bootloader points to a file made in the windows directory made by EasyBCD called "C:\NST\AutoNeoGrub0.mbr" which is what I'm guessing grub is booting from. After that I got the option for booting Ubuntu. The problem is that it's sending me to the Grub prompt (probably because it's pointing to \NST|AutoNeoGrub0.mbr?), at first I didn't know what to do but I researched and have to type grub commands to manually boot into Ubuntu Linux. Ex: grubroot (hd0,4) grubkernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6... root=/dev/disk/by-uuid/24624-2424... grubinitrd boot/initrd.img-2.6... grubboot After all that Ubuntu boots just fine, but how do I fix it permanently? Do I need to edit the bootloader manually (since Easy BCD "autoconfigures")? Some insight on this would rock! Also, it sucks to type the actual uuid since it's REALLY long. I tried getting the name of the drive via fdisk -l but since it's raid 0 I'm guessing I can't do that. How can I get a shorter name of the drive? like /dev/sda, /dev/sdb etc?
