  I need to export some data to excel in my forms aplication, so i used microsoft.office.interop.excel and everything is ok except one thing. When exporting client's email I would like to make it an mailto: link. excellApp.Cells[row, 16] = "mailto:"+client.Email; doesn't work Whend I add hiperlink when exporting www field it looks like this: excelWorkSheet.Hyperlinks.Add(excellApp.Cells[row, 14], client.Www, Type.Missing, Type.Missing, Type.Missing); How can I export an email to have similar effect coz right now I have only simple fields withou any action...?

• Active Index is not being persisted in jQuery accordion change event

  I have an asp.net aspx page and on that page I have a hidden input field with and id of paneIndex. However, when I load the page, the alert shows index 1 which is correct on the first load, but if I open up pane 3 for example, the alert shows 1 still. Am I doing something wrong? • Best way to model Customer <--> Address

  Every Customer has a physical address and an optional mailing address. What is your preferred way to model this? Option 1. Customer has foreign key to Address Customer (id, phys_address_id, mail_address_id) Address (id, street, city, etc.) Option 2. Customer has one-to-many relationship to Address, which contains a field to describe the address type Customer (id) Address (id, customer_id, address_type, street, city, etc.) Option 3. Address information is de-normalized and stored in Customer Customer (id, phys_street, phys_city, etc. mail_street, mail_city, etc.) One of my overriding goals is to simplify the object-relational mappings, so I'm leaning towards the first approach. What are your thoughts?

• Getting a "summary" of a webpage

  I have something of a a hairy problem, I'd like to generate a couple of paragraphs of "description" of a given url, normally the start of an article. The Meta description field is one way to go but it isn't always good or set properly. It's fair to say it's a bit problematic to accomplish this from the screenscraped HTML. I had a general idea that perhaps one could scan the HTML for the first "appropriate" segment but it's hard to say what that is, perhaps something like the first paragraph containing a certain amount of text... Anyone have any good ideas? :) It doesn't have to be foolproof

I researched but couldnot find :/ is there any predefined variable that gives my CCK field value count? for example; I have field_logo_sponsor and I need to display all logo items. • Need help in downloading file with header() function

  Hi. I'm trying to explain as best as I can, sorry for my English. I have a list of links, each linked to a php file with an id by parameters (ex. download.php?id=1 or ?id=2 and so on). This file create a new instance of a class witch return the correct header of the files so it displays the save dialog box of the browser. Now I need to check if the files is already downloaded in past (The first time you downloaded it I add a field on the mysql db). This checks go ahead if you haven't download the files, else return false. Here is the problem, when it returns false or something else the browser redirect me to the download.php file, so I get a blank page or what I'm echoing. I need that if the file is already download it show me a js alert for advice ppl. Hope you can understand what i mean. Thanks for help

• tableView resize problem when pushing another view while keyboard is showing

  I have a tableview controller under a navigation controller. Some of my table cells contain text fields, so when I tap on them, a keyboard will show up and automatically resize (shrink) the bounds of my tableview. The bounds is then restored when the keyboard is dismissed programmatically by calling resignFirstResponder on my text field. Some of my cells would push a new view controller into the view stack when tapped on, so I first resign my current textfield before pushing the view controller: - (NSIndexPath *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView willSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { if (currentEditingTextField != nil) { [currentEditingTextField resignFirstResponder]; currentEditingTextField = nil; } return indexPath; } The problem is when I navigate back to my table view, the bounds of the tableview is sized as if the keyboard is still there. I know this because the scroll indicator only reaches right above where the keyboard was and there is empty view space below the table view. Anybody experienced this and know of a solution? Thanks

  I am using Python scripts to edit the table of many shape files. I have two options, create a new script that runs through and deletes all occurances of ", and then run the above script or modify the above script to ignore the " and contiue running. Can anyone help ?

  I have a model called Movie, which has a ManyToManyField called director to a model called Person, and I'm trying to create a form with ModelChoiceField like so: class MovieSearchForm(forms.Form): producer = forms.ModelChoiceField(label='Produced by', queryset=movies.models.Person.producer_set, required=False) but this seems to be failing to compile (I'm getting a ViewDoesNotExist exception for the view that uses the form, but it goes away if I just replace the queryset with all the person objects), I'm guessing because '.producer_set' is being evaluated too 'early'. How can I get this work? here are the relevant parts of the movie/person classes: class Person(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=100) class Movie(models.Model): ... producer = models.ForeignKey(Person, related_name="producers") director = models.ForeignKey(Person, related_name="directors") What I'm trying to do is get ever Person who is used in the producer field of some Movie.

• The emulator isn't showing the XML contents

  I have been reading Google's android tutorial (link added in the first comment) and I got a problem... In the tutorial they explain the XML elements (EditText and Button) and in the end they say how to tun the program to see the button + the text field. The problem is, that the emulator doesn't show them.. just a black screen. I even tried adding this line to the onCreate function - System.out.println("Hello World!"); but still the emulator is showing only black screen.. • Strange IP addresses in tomcat

  Some where I have this in some generic class. public static String getRequestIp (HttpServletRequest request){ String ipaddr = request.getHeader("X-FORWARDED-FOR"); if (ipaddr == null)ipaddr = request.getRemoteAddr(); return ipaddr; } For every request i call that method and in a certain moment i insert a record in a mysql database. In most cases it works normally and i can see a record for every request with a valid ip address in the right field. But sometimes where the IP should be there is something like this. "unknown, 93.186.30.120" or "10.0.1.169, 186.38.84.3" Apache is at the front listening at port 80 and used as proxy to Tomcat that listens at port 8081. My router config would not allow to pass any conection that come by any port other than 80. Any Help? Thanks in advance.

• Using report viewer, how do I pull from two seperate Datasets

  I have two datasets I need to pull from, A base that both reports use and then a separate one that only one report pulls from. I get the error Error 12 The Value expression for the text box ‘Textbox9’ refers to the field ‘Name’. Report item expressions can only refer to fields within the current dataset scope or, if inside an aggregate, the specified dataset scope. My best guess is I have to associate them with the correct dataset but I have not been able to find any documentation on this. Can someone please tell me where in the rdlc document I need to code something like name.value, "dataset1" or something similar?

• JQuery - which form was submitted?

  Hello, I have a page of products and for each of them, I want to have a form that uses AJAX to update the session. I've done this bit - just providing background. I use the product's ID to create a different form class and name for each form, so each form is called something like this_form_name_567 and the next would be this_form_name_568 and so on. There is a submit button per form. I'm having trouble figuring out a) which event is best to use so that the correct form will be identified when a submit button is clicked, b) once clicked, how to then make sure the correct value is taken from a hidden field (unique ID) within the submitted form so that I can populate a line of code such as: $.post("compare_response.php", {compare_this: $("#compare_this").val()}, function(data){ } Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Hello, I have a database on a SQL Server 2000 server. This database has a table called "Person" that has a field call "FullName" that is a VARCHAR(100). I am trying to write a query that will allow me to get all records that have a name. Records that do not have a name have a FullName value of either null or an empty string. How do I get all of the Person records have a FullName? In other words, I want to ignore the records that do not have a FullName.   I started by googling, and found this article which talks about mutex tables. I have a table with ~14 million records. If I want to add more data in the same format, is there a way to ensure the record I want to insert does not already exist without using a pair of queries (ie, one query to check and one to insert is the result set is empty)? Does a unique constraint on a field guarantee the insert will fail if it's already there? It seems that with merely a constraint, when I issue the insert via php, the script croaks.

  I'm running PHP 5 and MySQL 5 on a dedicated server (Ubuntu Server 8.10) with full root access. I'm cleaning up some LAMP code I've inherited and I've a large number of SQL selects with this type of construct: SELECT ... FROM table WHERE LCASE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE( strSomeField, ' ', '-'), ',', ''), '/', '-'), '&', ''), '+', '') ) = $somevalue Ignoring the fact that the database should never have been constructed to require such a select in the first place, and the $somevalue field will need to be parameterised to plug the gaping security hole, what is my best option for fixing the WHERE condition into something less offensive? If I was using MSSQL or Oracle I'd simply put together a user-defined function, but my experience with MySQL is more limited and I've not constructed a UDF with it before, although I'm happy coding C. Update: For all those who've already raised their eyebrows at this in the original code, $somevalue is actually something like $GET['product']—there are a few variations on the theme. In this case the select is pulling the product back from the database by product name—after stripping out characters so it matches what could be previously passed as a URI parameter.
