• How can I change the color of a Google Maps marker?

  I'm using the Google Maps API to build a map full of markers, but I want one marker to stand out from the others. The simplest thing to do, I think, would be to change the color of the marker to blue, instead of red. Is this a simple thing to do or do I have to create a whole new icon somehow? If I do have to create a new icon, what's the easiest way to do that?

• Android TimePicker hour field disappears after orientation change

  I am using a TimePicker under API 1.5 and when the orientation is changed on my device (a stock G1 running 1.6 - though NOT on the 1.5/1.6 emulator), the hour field goes blank. It still remembers the hour, it just doesn't show it. Is there any workaround for this?   In the new official Twitter app, the scrollbars in all the ListViews the app uses are hidden unless the user is scrolling through the list. When you start scrolling, the scrollbars appear. When you stop, they fade out with an animation until they are gone completely. I can't seem to find anything in the documentation that indicates this as being a standard feature. Is this something included in the API? If not, anyone know how this might be done?

  I'm thinking of a web app that uses CouchDB extensively, to the point where there would be great gains from serving with the native erlang HTTP API as much as possible. Can you configure Apache as a reverse proxy to allow outside GETs to be proxied directly to CouchDB, whereas PUT/POST are sent to the application internal logic (for sanitation, authentication...)? Or is this unwise -- the CouchDB built-in authentication options just seem a little weak for a Web App. Thanks

  Hello, We have the BT broadband forwarding on to an internal machine with an IIS web server running. Thats fine, it goes to the sharepoint app, so the outside world can see this app. Thing is we need another app running (a MVC ASP.Net app) and I have set it to :8080. Internally I can get to it fine, but not when I type the IP number. eg. 80.100.232.129:8080 is this something I need to set on the broadband router or something with SBS or somewhere else? thanks in advance

For example I may want to match strings that start with the string "20% of all", so I want to write something like this: sql = '... WHERE ... LIKE %(myvalue)s' cursor.fetchall(sql, { 'myvalue': escape_sql_like('20% of all') + '%' } Is there an existing escape_sql_like function that I could plug in here?
