  • Get Category in Wordpress Post

    OK I have a standard post here: http://www.ticketyoda.co.uk/concerts/rihanna-tickets/rihanna-tickets-manchester-2013-06-12-united-kingdom/970 I am trying to make each post unique and contain the category information for both the city (Manchester) and the Artist (Rihanna). At the moment the box underneath the venue contains the information taken from the category (see breadcrumb). So I have 1 out of 2. What I need now is for an extra box below to show the category information for the Artist. I use : <?php $category = get_the_category(); echo $category[0]->category_description; ?> to get the first category. You can see the rihanna description under the posts here: http://www.ticketyoda.co.uk/concerts/rihanna-tickets/ Any help appreciated.

  • Parse Domain from a given URL in T-SQL

    I fount this answer, but wanted to expand on the question and couldn't find any solutions here on stack or through searching google. Substring domainname from URL SQL Basically the link above solves my problem with a simple URL like parsing "www.google.com" with the result of google. What I am looking for to expand on that is the solution from the link above doesn't help with url's like 'www.maps.google.com' that just returns maps. WHat I would like is to have it return 'google' from the url 'www.maps.google.com' or return 'example' from 'www.test.example.com'. If anyone has a solution to this, I would greatly appreciate it. Update: To be more specific I will also need parsing on second level domains etc. 'www.maps.google.com.au' to return 'google' Here is my Sql function.     Hello, just a quickie (or maybe not:] ): Is it possible to get somehow list of running applications/processes and, while running in background, check which process is active? Additionally - if somehow, the answer was yes, is it possible to react for change of active window / application react just as if it was Event, or bind to it custom event (e.g. Event.SystemActiveAppChange)? Thank you for answers as well as pointers. EDIT: Due to probable missunderstanding, I mean local applications - on your win/mac/linux machine - I would like to (in process of learning of language) track what apps I use the most, make a little graph maybe? So, the point is: in AIR app, developed in FLEX, I would like to get/list all running applications/processes, as well as which one is active (on user's PC/Mac/Linux)

Since it's in flash, we do not worry about Javascript, we do not support non-javascript users.   • Apache finds non-existent files

    My web server has a peculiar behavior: Let's say my website URL is http://my-domain.com, and I have an accessible file http://my-domain.com/blah.jpg in it. For some reason I'm able to access the file using http://my-domain.com/blah. It happens with any type of file. Do you have any idea how do I fix this?

  • Gen folder disappearing in Eclipse Android project

    I'm just getting started developing for Android and I'm running into a weird problem. First off, I'm running Eclipse for Java devs v3.5.2 with the Android 2.1 SDK installed. Basically, whenever I do just about anything the "gen" (R.java, etc.) folder will just disappear from the project. I'm seen some people online say that it was still on the drive, just gone from the project listing in Eclipse, but in my case it is literally and completely gone. The only fix I've found is that if I refresh, then try to build, it gives an error and "gen" shows up in the project view (though it's not on the disk), then delete it from within the project, then Rebuild All and it will say that it cannot find it and is recreating it. Problem is, I have to do this every single time I want to build. There's got to be a fix for this.

  • is it possible to include a binary in my project and use it?

    I have a binary that's used as a command-line tool to manipulate some files - tool.exe. I would like to include this in my Visual Studio 2008 project and use it from my C# code. I have it in a folder called "Resources" which also has some other files my project uses. I would like to do something like Process myproc = Process.Start("Resources/tool.exe"); but I believe C# has an issue with this because it's looking in the file system rather than the project. How can this be done?

  • mint.com javascript dropdown effect

    I need to recreate an effect that mint.com has on another website. When you go to the transactions page and click on one of your transactions a tab pops up underneath that says edit details. When you click on that tab a div will drop down exposing more details about the transaction.     Java's SimpleDateFormat is used to format a Date object to a string. The formatter supports various pattern letters, which denote textual representation of a Date field. For example, yy is two-letter year, yyyy is four-letter year, and E is day of week. For example, A SimpleDateFormat initialized with yyyy.MM.dd G 'at' HH:mm:ss z will format a date to something like 2001.07.04 AD at 12:08:56 PDT. I would like to add some pattern letters to SimpleDateFormat. For example, want C to denote Hebrew weekday (??? ?????, ??? ???, ...). What's the right way to extend SimpleDateFormat with these new pattern letters? The only online example I could find seems somewhat complicated. I can live with formatting only, without parsing.

  • How do I resize a flat vector icon so that it preserves hard edges in Photoshop (CS4)

    I recently purchased Drew Wilson's Pictos icon library. It is a library of flat, monochromatic icons for use on the web and elsewhere. The only issue is: they're vectors. I know my way around Illustrator a little bit, but ultimately I want to import these icons into Photoshop and resize to various dimensions. The problem I'm having: when I import an icon and resize it to, say, 20x20 pixels, I notice that there is a fair bit of aliasing around the edges of the icon. I'm sure there is some magic number where the edges of these icons will remain crisp, but I can't find any option or setting that will allow me to size these icons properly. Is there a way in Photoshop to snap these icons to the closest size that removes or minimizes the aliasing?

    I'm creating an SSIS package, which will read through a user's SQL database and populate the tables in an Access database. However, for the largest user databases, I start getting errors around the time the Access file reaches approx. 2 GB. Has anyone run into this problem? Is this a size limitation for this operation? More information: I'm getting the error code 0xC020907B, but no additional information that I can see. Error: 0xC0209029 at , [733]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_INDUCEDTRANSFORMFAILUREONERROR. The "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (746)" failed because error code 0xC020907B occurred, and the error row disposition on "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (746)" specifies failure on error. An error occurred on the specified object of the specified component. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

  • Would you make this method Static or not?

    During a code review I presented a method quickly to the team that I had made static and one person agreed that there was no reason for it to not be static and a person disagreed saying that he would not make it static because it wasn't necessary and just to be on the safe side for future modifications and testing. So I did quite a bit of research and obviously it's a specialized case but I would like to know what you would do in this situation and why?   • C# / IronPython Interop and the "float" data type

    Working on a project that uses some IronPython scripts to as plug-ins, that utilize functionality coded in C#. In one of my C# classes, I have a property that is of type: Dictionary<int, float> I set the value of that property from the IronPython code, like this: mc = MyClass() mc.ValueDictionary = Dictionary[int, float]({1:0.0, 2:0.012, 3:0.024}) However, when this bit of code is run, it throws the following exception: Microsoft.Scripting.ArgumentTypeException was unhandled by user code Message=expected Dictionary[int, Single], got Dictionary[int, float] To make things weirder, originally the C# code used Dictionary<int, double> but I could not find a "double" type in IronPython, tried "float" on a whim and it worked fine, giving no errors. But now that it's using float on both ends (which it should have been using from the start) it errors, and thinks that the C# code is using the "Single" data type?! I've even checked in the object browser for the C# library and, sure enough, it shows as using a "float" type and not "Single"

    I've used a few F/OSS libraries in my commercial application. As per their licenses, I am obligated to include their source codes along with my VS2008 application. This is my first time making a "real" commercial application, and I would appreciate some advice on how best to go about including their source codes. I don't want to package them as zip files alongside my installed. I still want my installer to be a single file.

  • jquery mobile mPDF not rendering on form submission

    Im trying to have the user submit form data to a mPDF page the will render a pdf with the data included. The problem Im having is that jquery mobile initializes the mPDF page not allowing the mPDF to render properly. Im trying to figure out how to stop jquery mobile from initializing the mPDF page. Just a note, when I remove query mobile the functionality works.   • What could possibly be causing this NPE in onCreate?

    I am getting an NPE in onCreate of the following file (MySubActivity): public class MySubActivity extends MySuperActivity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); myTextView.setText(getResources().getString(R.string.myString)); } } MySuperActivity: public class MySuperActivity extends Activity { protected TextView myTextView; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.my_layout); myTextView = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.myTextViewid); } } The strange thing is that I have never seen this crash while testing the app. The page works fine when I test it. However I got a crash report from Google notifying me of the crash. I cannot reproduce it, and I have no idea under what scenario this crash could happen. Seeing as how it works for me, the resource ids and string names etc. must be correct. The only thing that came across my mind was that maybe the user had their phone set to a different language, so it couldn't properly pull the resources. However, there are default resources for all of them, and I tested changing the language of my emulator and it didn't crash. Any ideas?

  • Why use constants in programming?

    I've just been going back over a bit of C studying using Ivor Horton's Beginning C book. I got to the bit about declaring constants which seems to get mixed up with variables in the same sentence. Just to clarify, what is the difference in specifying constants and variables in C, and really, when do you need to use a constant instead of a variable? I know folks say to use a constant when the information doesn't change during program execution but I can't really think of a time when a variable couldn't be used instead. Thanks
