• How to remove maximize button in Mac OS X tool window in Qt

  I have a floating tool window. It works fine on Windows, but I can't get rid of the maximise button on Mac OS X. I have tried unsetting Qt::WindowMaximizeButtonHint and setting the window to fixed size. Nothing seems to work. MyWidget::MyWidget( QWidget* parent ) :QWidget( parent, Qt::Tool | Qt::CustomizeWindowHint ) { setupUi( this ); setFixedSize( sizeHint() ); // doesn't remove maximise button setWindowFlags( windowFlags() & ~Qt::WindowMaximizeButtonHint ); // doesn't remove maximise button } I don't want to use a frameless window.   Hi everyone, I'm implementing OAuth to post on Twitter... which works perfectly. My issue is for those who entered the Twitter login area by accident and want to press the "Cancel" button. Unfortunately, the "Cancel" button is dismissed but then immediately reappears.   Hi, I'm trying to have a comment input field that will show the submit button on a dynamically created form when you click on the input field. Similar to how facebook comments work. When you click on the input field the submit button appears and when you click off it disappears. All the comment input id's are comment_1 etc and the submit button id's are submit_1 etc. I've tried this, jQuery("#[id^='comment_']").live('click',function(event){ if(jQuery("#[id^='comment_']").val() == ""){ jQuery("#[id^='submit_']").hide(); } else { jQuery("#[id^='submit_']").show(); } }); And that won't work for some reason.   has the HTML version changed lately (like from ie7 to IE8?) I notice the following change that cause me some troulbe - I am having a code that is similar to this: <form method="POST" action="/admin/modify"> <input type="text"/> <button onclick="dosomething()">Press</button> </form> <script type="text/javascript"> function doSomething(){ // doesn't matter what actually } </script> What is weired to me in this code is that by pressing the button inside the form, all I want is to perform some javascript action but eventaully it causes the form to be submitted too, even when I am not willing to do it. So - is it true? and if so how can I perform some java script actoin inside a from but prevent the form from being submitted automatically?

• Back Button gets Disabled on IE 7,8 for an ASP.NET site

  In an ASP.NET 3.5 website we are noticing that the back button is not working properly. If the user does several postbacks (say 10 times), and than starts pressing back button - the back button gets disabled before the user gets through all the pages. The site does not use AJAX.net. I can reproduce the issue on IE 7 and 8 almost always. The problem seems to be with some sort of limit IE has on History Cache for a given tab/instance. In the tests I did the post request to the server are large - around 83k, and the responses are are round 300k. It seems that with these request sizes the history does not hold more than 4 items. The moment I get to the 5 post, the first item i had selected is dropped.

Currently I have a "locate me" app that displays your Latitude and Longitude. I want to use those variables to populate 2 of the blanks on a PHP web page/form I have developed. I have added a label and button to my current app, when the button is pressed the URL with the Lat and Long (as passed vars) are displayed in the label. I want those vars to appear on my web page.   This is probably a dumb question, but I can't find the answer in the docs. Did the "Done" button on the pop-up keyboard always cause the keyboard to disappear? I see a lot of code around the web like this: - (BOOL)textFieldShouldReturn:(UITextField *)theTextField { [theTextField resignFirstResponder]; return YES; } When I press the "Done" button, the keyboard pops down and the UITextField resigns first responder. I'm presuming that pressing the "Done" button didn't used to cause a UITextField to resignFirstResponder, but that behavior changed at some time. I'm debugging on OS 3.0 - 3.1.3

  Hello, I have a application that allows a user to choose some parameters for a powerpoint report, run the report, then allow the user to "save" or "open" the powerpoint file. I got all of that working OK. When you click on "run" report, it pops open a window which generates the report, stores it in session, then closes the window. I have a button on the main page that will export the report. So, now, when the pop up window that generates the report is finished, i use "window.opener" to call a javascript method on the main page, that will do a javascript click of the button. when this button is pressed, Internet Explorer gives me the following message : "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer.." Do you guys know of any tricks around this?
