  • After compiling PHP, I get mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server

    I'm trying to add multiple PHP version in Plesk 12. Switching my domain to the new version PHP 5.4.29 result in this error: (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server Here is phpinfo() of the complied PHP version, obtained running php54-cgi index.php from the terminal. The same script placed under document root doesn't work in FastCGI. How can I debug/try to figure out what's the error? Currently running CentOS 6.5 x64, Plesk v12.0.18_build1200140529.2, PHP 5.5.13.   • Find actual Centos6 path for %{_includedir} in spec file?

    I am trying to find out which path actually resolves to %{_includedir} in a Centos6 installation. I understand that this is normally "/usr/include" but where can I find where it is actually set or somehow "echo" it? Basically, a spec I am using has "%dir %{_includedir}/someFolder/someFile". Everything runs fine but I can't find "/usr/include/someFolder". I assume it has been created somewhere else and I am trying to find out where that is.

  • How to delete a file with a space at end of the name and hidden attributes?

    We have a hidden file with a space at the end of the file name. Usually, I take ownership of the file, then use a command line rename with the 8.3 (dir/x) file name. However, rename doesn't acknowledge hidden or system files. Any ideas on how to remove it? The original creator cannot access the file. The system is a Windows 2003 server with NTFS and SMB file sharing (normal windows file sharing).

  • How to list all files on all hard drives with output in MS-DOS batch?

    How can I list all files (including system and hidden) on all hard drives (not removable drives)? I think in something like a: dir -a -h *.* /s > file.txt but this is for the specific drive where I'm. How can I do something like that but with C:, D:, etc, but I don't know the DOS's name of the drivers, and i need a .bat to do this (an automatic listing). Implementer can't also know the names of drivers.

  • nginx can't see MySQL

    I have a fully working Joomla 2.5.6 install driven by a local MySQL server, but I'd like to test nginx to see if it's a faster web serving experience than Apache. \ PHP 5.4.6 (PHP54w) \ CentOS 6.2 \ Joomla 2.5.6 \ PHP54w-fpm.i386 (FastCGI process manager) \ php -m shows: mysql & mysqli modules loaded Nginx seems to have installed fine via yum, it can process a PHP-info file via FastCGI perfectly OK (http://37.128.190.241/php.php) but when I stop Apache, start nginx instead and visit my site I get: "Database connection error (1): The MySQL adapter 'mysqli' is not available." I've tried adjusting my Joomla configuration.php to use mysql instead of mysqli but I get the same basic error, only this time "Database connection error (1): The MySQL adapter 'mysql' is not available" of course! Can anyone think what the problem might be please? I did try explicitly setting extension = mysqli.so and extension = mysql.so in my php.ini to try and force the issue (despite php -m showing they were both successfully loaded anyway) - no difference. I know that the anaconda-ks.cfg file is stored on the /root dir. but the system in question have been extensively changed since it's installation, and the file is of no use now.

  • Swapping root directory of a web server

    One of the clients that I maintain requests a website redesign, we do all the work in a subfolder /newsite/ and they intend to make it live this instant. The /newsite/ is made in wordpress and from my understanding WP keeps all the URL's as they were initially created. Would it be easier to just create the new root dir at /newsite/ or move all contents of the root to /oldsite/ and move /newsite/ to the root? Please advise the best route, i.e. mod_rewrite.

    looking at the things which can be done with the Parallel deployments in Tomcat 7, I wonder how new or changed configuration could be provided to these various versions of the application. In a nutshell - what parallel deployment offers is that pushing a new version of a war file to the webapps dir (with filenames like "App##01.war, "App##02.war") and ever user with a new session will get the newer version, all others stay with the old version. So how could one provide different or additional configuration (properties) to the various versions? Cheers.

  • nivo slider and drop down menu doesnt work in IE

    the built in command line ftp client in server 2008 does not support passive mode so I've used these commands to allow outbound ftp (it stalls without this) 1) Open port 21 on the firewall netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="FTP (no SSL)" action=allow protocol=TCP dir=in localport=21 2) Activate firewall application filter for FTP (aka Stateful FTP) that will dynamically open ports for data connections netsh advfirewall set global StatefulFtp enable however in server 2008 r2, these commands seem to work, but it does not affect the outbound ftp, it stalls I do not want to use an alt client

    Can I have different .bashrc files loading when logging into different nodes that share the same home dir? This is, I am mostly interested to loading different PATH directories when logging as bash, depending on the different Linux nodes I log into? For example, if I log into bash in machine abc-01, I would like to have a given .bashrc loaded, but when I log into abc-02, that uses the same /home/username directory, I would like to use a different .bashrc. How can I go about doing that?

    On the server I'm making every day a backup with rdiff-backup like: rdiff-backup /home/ /backup/home Then every week I want to make a rsync backup offside with sshfs like: rsync -avz /home/server/backup/home /backup/server-home/ This is giving me the following errors: Fatal Error: Previous backup to /backup/server-home/. seems to have failed. Rerun rdiff-backup with --check-destination-dir option to revert directory to state before unsuccessful session. Does anybody have a good solution to deal with this errors/situation? *2x edit for typo's

    Currently I do something like this: telnet 192.168.0.3 23 username password cd /dir/ programname -s -g dosomething I want to do this with one step, the coolest would be to compile a program for this using Automator, but i have no idea how to do that. "shell script" in Automator fails at telnet 192.168.0.3 23 saying "connection refused" of course: I had no chance to type in password and so on. Any ideas?
