  • retrieving of coordinates from google search?

    Is there anyway of retrieving coordinates through google search? right now my search is able to have markers on the map, but however i do not have any idea how to retrieve coordinates through just the search api alone. I have a html page named mapsToolKit.html and two js scripts with maps.js and search.js, i want the coding to be in search.js, so far i have managed to done in the maps section but is there anyway to retrieve it back through the search.js part?

Something like Google Charts API's Simple Org Chart would be great, but it looks like it only supports trees. What other service can I use?     Is there a program of perhaps website that can display a list of ip-adresses on Google or Bing maps? For instance, if I do tracert -d www.youtube.com, I'll get a bunch of IP-addresses, displaying the path my request travelled. I'd think it funny to see this on a map, but I find it hard to enter all these IP-addresses manually. Does anybody know a program that can do this?

    I recently purchased a domain name. We'll call it example.com. The previous owner of the domain had a Google Apps account. Now that I own the domain, I want to create a Google Apps account so I can point the domain www.example.com to one of my Google App Engine domains. We'll call it application.appspot.com. Google App Engine won't allow me to add the domain without verifying ownership by creating a Google Apps account or logging into Google Apps, but I don't have access to the old Google Apps account. We've tried going to this address to take ownership: https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/example.com/ResetAdminPassword?c=LONG_KEY&hl=en_US We retrieved a new password, but it wouldn't tell us what the login name is. How do you find out the login name?

  • Windows 7 64-bit Google Chrome Makes Desktop Unresponsive

    For the past 1-2 weeks my desktop becomes unresponsive sometimes. The problem seems to happen as I load a page in Google Chrome; it could be any page though today it happened when I tried to load a page with Flash content in it. The problem is not consistent and there is no pattern. I can do a virus scan using some software (not antivirus installed--never needed that) but I strongly suspect it is some software I installed or some Windows Update. This is a very powerful Dell Optiplex 990 with 16GB RAM, so Memory shouldn't be an issue. When the problem happens the cursor becomes spinning even over the taskbar and control alt delete takes a long time. Eventually I get a message that 'this program is not responding' with end/close and 'cancel' icon. But repeated end or cancel does nothing. Then the menu for ctrl alt del comes up. The rest of the applications keep running fine though I can't get to them because the cursor is the wait-cursor. What is happening? How can I find what exactly caused the problem? Thanks.

    Hi, I'm using the java library to access the gdata api. I just want to be able to print the contents of a document. I setup my project to list all the docs in my feed, now that I have a document listing, I want to print its contents: for (DocumentListEntry entry : feed.getEntries()) { // Ok, how do we print the doc's contents now? entry.getContents(); } It looks like we're supposed to get the URL from the entry, then read the contents at the URL ourselves. I found a post stating that this is how we get that URL: MediaContent content = (MediaContent)entry.getContent(); String url = content.getUri(); but when I try to read from it, I get an html response saying 'this content has moved'. I read that this is because we have to authenticate our http-read method, but I'm not sure how to do that. Is there really no built-in way to do this? Thanks

    I'm using a Google Analytics API Class in PHP made by Doug Tan to retrieve Analytics data from a specific profile. For example i want to see how many people visited my website from different country's in 2009. //make a new instance from the class $ga = new GoogleAnalytics($email,$password); //website profile example id $ga->setProfile('ga:4329539'); //date range $ga->setDateRange('2010-02-01','2010-03-08'); //array to receive data from metrics and dimensions $array = $ga->getReport( array('dimensions'=>('ga:country'), 'metrics'=>('ga:visits'), 'sort'=>'-ga:visits' ) ); Now you know how this API class works, i'd like to adress my problem. Speed. It takes alot of time to retrieve multiple types of data from the analytics database, especially if you're building different arrays with different metrics/dimensions. How can i speed up this process? Is it possible to store all the possible data in a cache so i am able to retrieve the data without loading it over and over again?

As I know, I've to call makeTransliteratable(elementIds, opt_options) method in the API call to define which input fields to make transliteratable, and in my case here I can't predefine those fields manually.     Hi, Is it possible to allow users of my website to mark places on a map I display using Google Maps API? I need to then save that location coordinates to a db. I've been looking through the google maps API, I found that I can use the web service to do searches like this: http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=Maine,+United+States&output=json&oe=utf8\&sensor=false&key=my_key But I am not sure it's working on a house number level (which I need it to) and I'm not sure how to display a 'did you mean?' to the user when he misspells the address..     Hi, I have a URL that returns data in CSV format. I would like to use Google Vizualization to create an interactive chart of the data. I've looked at several examples on Google Chart and Vizualization web page but I'm a bit confused as I'm not familiar with JavaScript or web programming in general. Question: Do I have to use JavaScript to parse the CSV string myself and manually construct the DataTable with addColumn() and addRows()? Or, is there a way to simply pass the CSV url to the charting function?
