  • Exclusive compute mode with OpenCL+NVidia

    Hi, I have a question to exclusive compute mode with NVidia+OpenCL. I can set up exclusive compute mode (page 74 from cuda programming guide 3.0) with nvidia-smi on a nvidia-gpu . that means, only one program can compute on gpu. cuda runtime schedules than app automatically. but I have a problem with opencl-programs in this case: if one application runs on a gpu with setted exclusive compute mode and second opencl-program calls clGetDeviceInfo(..., CL_DEVICE_AVAILABLE, ...) with the same GPU is the result == CL_TRUE. After that if opencl-app tries to create a context on this device, than crashes the running app (both). How can i find out an available GPU with OpenCL? Thanks.

    We are storing people's class attendance information to Drupal. We would like to show this in a grid/chart, where the first column of each row shows person's name, and rest of the columns (ca. 20) either a checkbox or "X" if the user attended a class, or otherwise an non-checked box or empty column: (dates here) Jack X XXX X X Jill XX XXX XX It should also be possible to edit the attendance information on the grid. Each attendance information is a node of its own. This functionality can probably mostly be achieved using views and editablefields, but there is one problem: if a person has not attended a specific class he/she will not have at all an attendace node for that day. What would be the easiest way to create an attendace node in those cases, so that it would be possible for the end user to edit the grid by just clicking on the checkbox or typing an 'X'?

  • More 'Edit' navigation item

    I am using a UITabBarController as well as a UINavigationController on my app. In my UITabBarController I am using more than 5 items so I automatically get the 'More' item. I've managed to add a saving procedure so the order of those items will be kept in case somebody changes the order etc. With 'More' active I get the More navigation controller with the 'Edit' item positioned under my UINavigationController. Both navigation controller are visible. When I click on 'Edit though the More navigation controller disappears and seem to be hiding under my UINavigationController and therefore I can't see/use the 'Done' function to save my new order What did I miss?   • Client to access and edit a MySQL database remotely

    Hey guys, So I have been given the host, username, and login information for a MySQL Database. I need a client that I can use to log in to the Database remotely and create/update tables and edit all the data. I found the MySQL Administrator client provided by them, but it seems you can do everything BUT edit the actual data with it. Is there anything like this? Would I be able to use SQL Server Express (or something similar), to connect to a remote server online and do all of this?

  • Create an Edit view similar to Contacts App

    I have an edit view in my app which is a instance of UITableViewController and contains one cell with a textfield in a grouped table. At the moment this cell is at the top of the screen and is firstResponder so they keyboard is visible as well. But in all the Apples apps like the Contacts App when you edit a piece of information like an Email it buts both of its rows in the middle between the Nav Bar and the Keyboard not at the top of the screen.     Hi, I am creating a software on Mac and I would like to change the value of an IORegistryEntry. I can view it on the IORegistryExplorer, but I can't edit it. So it's my understanding that I have to edit it via code.     I am using Notepad++ 5.3.1. I want to edit and save files on a remote machine(both are running on windows xp). I have granted the access privileges and security permissions in the folder containing the files. When I try to save any of these files after editing in Notepad ++, I get the following error. 'Please check whether if this file is opened in another program' There are no other places where the file has been opened but I still get this error. I was able to edit and save earlier but this error seems to be coming only since yesterday.

  • Message box does not work in release mode

    I have the following code in a C# windows form application. if (myGrid.Rows.Count != 0) { // do something } else { MessageBox.Show("Test"); } The message box shows up in Debug mode but not in release mode. Any idea why? I am having similar issues with other code as well For instance if (!myParameter) this.mycheckBox.Enabled = false; else this.mycheckBox.Enabled = true; The above code works in debug mode not in release.   • Is it possible to scroll in isearch mode?

    Is there a way to scroll through a document without exiting isearch mode? I have isearch-allow-scroll set to t, but that limits my scroll range to make sure the current isearch match is visible in the buffer. Ideally, I would like to be able to scroll with the mousewheel, having all the isearch matches highlighted as I scroll. I am aware of M-x occur, but a lot of the time simply being able to scroll in isearch mode would be more efficient (in addition, M-x occur does not play well with folding mode).

    I wrote my layout entirely in java code because it was just more convenient. (I had a lot of textViews and using for statements were more convenient). However, my TextViews require the day of the week and in portrait mode, I would like to cut the day of the week to a short form. For example, I want "Sunday" to show "Sun" for portrait mode, but "Sunday" for landscape mode. I understand how to do this in XML files, but how do I do it in code?     I'm new to SilverLight and Mvvm-Light. I have a DataForm on my view that displays/edits a SelectedPerson property (a Person object) of my view model. I want to execute a command on my viewmodel when the user clicks the Save button but don't want to take action if the user clicks cancel. I added the following to my ViewModel: public RelayCommand PersonEditEnded {get; set;} ... public void Initialize() { PersonEditEnded = new RelayCommand(DoSomething); ... } public void DoSomething() { } I added the following to my View: <toolkit:DataForm x:Name="PersonForm" ... CurrentItem="{Binding SelectedPerson, Mode=TwoWay}"> <i:Interaction.Triggers> <i:EventTrigger EventName="EditEnded"> <gs:EventToCommand Command="{Binding PersonEditEnded, Mode=OneWay}"/> </i:EventTrigger> </i:Interaction.Triggers> </toolkit:DataForm> This works and the DoSomething method is being called when the user presses Submit.     Good time of day, SF people. I have created a manual DHCP binding entry on a Cisco router so that a client would always get leased to it. The clients wants to get the same address on both of his dual-boot linux systems. He tries to get an IP address leased and he succeeds on one of the dual-boot operating systems. When he reboots to another one he gets a lease for a completely different one. I don't get it. The MAC addresses are the same (we checked in ifconfig, so what could be happening here? Why is the router confused? Or is it something else? Also, how can I check DHCP server IP address who I have got an IP address from (on Linux)? Configuration on Cisco: ip dhcp pool MANUAL_BINDING0001 host 192.168.0.64 255.255.255.0 hardware-address dead.beef.1337 dns-server 192.168.8.11 default-router 192.168.0.254 domain-name verynicedomainigothere.cn PS. Is it mandatory to use client-name configuration line?

  • What can cause a DirectAccess IPSec Main Mode Error "no policy configured"

    We have Microsoft's DirectAccess VPN set up on Server 2008 R2 with end-to-edge security, and we're having trouble with the manage-out tunnel. The DirectAccess client has DC/DNS and intranet connectivity, it can ping/rdp/etc to intranet hosts. However connections originating from those same intranet hosts can only intermittently reach the client. At times it works fine, other times it doesn't. When an inbound (intranet to client) connection is attempted there's an IPSec Main Mode failure logged: Event 4653 with a failure reason of "No Policy Configured". I think that it may be related to the state of the intranet (corp) access tunnel, and an overlap in the configured subnets for those polices. I haven't figured out exactly what's different in the scenario where the connection works and where it does not.

    I have a Motorola NVG510 modem from AT&T, and I would like to disable all routing functions and use it as just a modem. I have a Time Capsule that's already connected and broadcasting its own wireless network, which is how I've been connecting (it's been reporting a double-NAT error, which I assume is from the NVG510 also acting as a router). I followed the instructions in question six here, and I can connect as I did before, but my Time Capsule still has a double-NAT error. How do I put the NVG510 into bridge mode or otherwise fix the double-NAT error? (No, ignoring it does not count as a fix.)

  • Device Manager in read-only remote mode when local

    Hello - since configuring a Windows Web Server 2008 R2 x64 to be hardened for an internet-facing deployment I receive this: "Device Manager is running in read-only mode because you are running it on a remote computer." when entering Device Manager. I have tried reversing the changes I have made, such as: Re-adding Client for Microsoft Networks Re-enabling NetBIOS over TCP-IP Re-adding File and Printer Sharing Disabling the Windows Firewall in all profiles (public, domain, private) I get no joy. It looks like a Microsoft ballsup. I'll try and use Process Monitor to have a look. Google returns only 1 page for this error. Luke

  • Windows 7 power management in Boot Camp mode

    I have a Macbook Pro with Windows 7 installed in Boot Camp. I have serious problems with the power management and not sure why. I have the default Balanced power plan selected. Many times when I close the laptop and leave it for more than just a few minutes, when I open it back up, it does not awake immediately. I end up having to press the power button to get it to wake up. Sometimes this causes it to wake up in Windows mode, sometimes it reboots completely, sometimes the battery has been drained and Windows has to restart. Is this a common problem? Can I fix it?

  • Chrome: Saved username/password filled in incognito mode

    If I open an incognito window in Google Chrome and go to a webpage where Chrome has a saved username and password from (for example the login form on http://gmail.com), I see that my username and password are automatically filled in. Does that mean that I am not really incognito? Can the website see my username even if I don't explicitly log in? Or is there some mechanism behind the scenes that prevents the webpage from grabbing auto-filled values unless I actually log in? Clarification: Stored usernames (and passwords) are a lot like cookies: your unique identifier linked to a certain site, stored locally in your browser, available to the site when you open it. When you go incognito you ask your browser not to identify you to the sites you visit. It does that by (among other things) not exposing its cookies. Exposing the stored username in this mode does not make sense to me (but maybe I'm missing something...).

  • Sound quality in bluetooth headphones doesn't change to high

    My Bluetooth headset Philips SHB6610 has several profiles. It can work as low-quality headset (HFP) and high-quality headphones (A2DP). I mean sound quality. Typically whenever I start to play the music in my media player it works in high quality, while if I receive a call on Skype it switches to low-quality. Once call is finished it falls back on high quality again. However, from time to time, it happens that I connect headphones to the computer and they just stay in low-quality mode. I don't know how can I change the profile manually, since it was always done automatically so far. The only thing that helps (but not always) is re-pairing of headphones with PC. I am using Windows 7 on Toshiba Satellite Pro P300-1CG laptop, with Belkin Mini Bluetooth Adapter.

  • windows is unresponsive but works well in safe mode

    I was installing a few utility apps and things when my laptop running windows 7 stopped responding. I tried to reboot and still very unresponsive... the mouse moves but i am unable to click on icons or open the start menu. eventually things catch up after over a minute. when i start in safe mode with networking support i am able to operate the laptop at lightening speed and web browsing is a dream. I ran msconfig and shut off all non windows services and still get the same thing. after no results i then got and ran spybot, malwarebytes, and other such tools but got no results. they all show nothing wrong. now what?
