    Where can I read more about creating linked slides like at the top of nytimes.com, slate.com, yahoo.com, nyu.edu, etc. I assume it's javascript, but I'm not sure what it's called, so I'm not sure how to look it up. I want to create a box at the top of a website with blocks of html text which slide in sequence if the user clicks next or after a certain amount of time. Where can I read more about this?

    I have a list of elements, and each element consists of four seperate values that are seperated by tabs: ['A\tB\tC\tD', 'Q\tW\tE\tR', etc.] What I want is to create a larger list without the tabs, so that each value is a seperate element: ['A', 'B', 'C', 'D', 'Q', 'W', 'E', 'R', etc.] How can I do that in Python?     I'm writing a simple linear linked list implementation in PHP. This is basically just for practice... part of a Project Euler problem. I'm not sure if I should be using unset() to help in garbage collection in order to avoid memory leaks. Should I include an unset() for head and temp in the destructor of LLL? I understand that I'll use unset() to delete nodes when I want, but is unset() necessary for general clean up at any point? Is the memory map freed once the script terminates even if you don't use unset()? I saw this SO question, but I'm still a little unclear. Is the answer that you simply don't have to use unset() to avoid any sort of memory leaks associated with creating references? I'm using PHP 5.. btw.     I am new to maven and hit a problem that looks easy in the first place but I already kept me busy for a whole day about and no way to get it working. First as part of running eclipse:eclipse plugin I create a linked folder like below: <linkedResources> <linkedResource> <name>properties</name> <type>2</type> <location>${PARENT-2-PROJECT_LOC}/some_other_project/properties</location> </linkedResource> <linkedResource> <name>properties/messages.properties</name> <type>1</type> <location>${PARENT-2-PROJECT_LOC}/some_other_project/properties/messages.properties</location> </linkedResource> And then I am adding that folder as a source folder like below: <plugin> <groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId> <artifactId>build-helper-maven-plugin</artifactId> <version>1.7</version> <executions> <execution> <id>add-source</id> <phase>generate-sources</phase> <goals> <goal>add-source</goal> </goals> <configuration> <sources> <source>properties</source> <source>some_real_folder</source> </sources> </configuration> </execution> </executions> </plugin> However when I am looking at the generated .classpath in eclipse the “some_real_folder” is there but the “properties” is not. It looks like by default the build-helper-maven-plugin will check if the folder is there and if it is not it won’t add it. I am using maven 3.0.4 outside eclipse to run the build and I can see in the maven logs something like this: [INFO] Source directory: <some path>\properties added. This is my project structure: project1 \-- properties (this is the real folder) project2 \-- some_real_folder \-- properties (this is the link resource pointing to the project1/properties folder) All I need is to have both "some_real_folder" and the linked resource "properties" added to the .classpath of the project2

    When I learned Java, I was told that the arraylist works this way: It creates an array with room for 10 elements. When the 11th element is added, it is created a new list with room for 20 elements, and the 10 elements are copied into the new array. This will repeat as until there are no more elements to add, or to a maximum size. Is the List in .NET constructed the same way?

    I installed Boost via sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev on the most recent version of Ubuntu. Now I want to compile a project that uses the Boost.Serialization library, which needs to be linked. I've tried many variants of the following, without success: gcc -I /usr/lib code.cpp -o compiled /usr/lib/libboost_serialization.a and gcc -I /usr/lib code.cpp -o compiled -l libboost_serialization The error message is: error: ‘split_member’ is not a member of ‘boost::serialization ` What am I missing?

    Hello. I'm trying to learn how to use a cisco ASA firewall, and I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm trying to set up some egress filtering, with the goal of allowing only the minimal amount of traffic out of the network, even if it originated from within the inside interface. In other words, I'm trying to set up dmz_in and inside_in ACLs as if the inside interface is not too trustworthy. I haven't fully grasped all the concepts yet, so I have a few issues. Assume that we're working with three interfaces: inside, outside, and DMZ. Let's say I have a server (X.Y.Z.1) that has to respond to PING, HTTP, SSH, FTP, MySQL, and SMTP. My ACL looks something like this: access-list outside_in extended permit icmp any host X.Y.Z.1 echo-reply access-list outside_in extended permit tcp any host X.Y.Z.1 eq www access-list outside_in extended permit tcp any host X.Y.Z.1 eq ssh access-list outside_in extended permit tcp any host X.Y.Z.1 eq ftp access-list outside_in extended permit tcp any host X.Y.Z.1 eq ftp-data established access-list outside_in extended permit tcp any host X.Y.Z.1 eq 3306 access-list outside_in extended permit tcp any host X.Y.Z.1 eq smtp and I apply it like this: access-group outside_in in interface outside My question is, what can I do for egress filtering? I want to only allow the minimal amount of traffic out. Do I just "reverse" the rules (i.e. the smtp rule becomes access-list inside_out extended permit tcp host X.Y.Z.1 any eq smtp ) and call it a day, or can I further cull my options? What can I safely block? Furthermore, when doing egress filtering, is it enough to apply "inverted" rules to the outside interface, or should I also look into making dmz_in and inside_in acls? I've heard the term "egress filtering" thrown around a lot, but I don't really know what I'm doing. Any pointers towards good resources and reading would also be helpful, most of the ones I've found presume that I know a lot more than I do.

  • Index out of bounds exception while iterating through a List<string>.

    I have a List of the location of images on a folder. I have five pictureBoxes that emulate a coverflow type area for users to skim through the images of a given folder. I know that the error is fired because the first image in the collection is set to the first picturebox, then if I click on cycleLeft(), there is a negative number. How can I account for this? For example, if the first image in the List is already set to the farthest left and someone clicks flip left, have that first image put on the last position of the list.
