  • Removing the Default Wrap Character From all records

    - by aceinthehole
I am using BizTalk 2009 and I have a flat file that is similar to the following "0162892172","TIM ","LastName ","760 "," ","COMANCHE ","LN " "0143248282","GEORGE ","LastName ","625 "," ","ENID ","AVE " When I parse it and start mapping it I need to get rid of the quotation marks. I have marked the Wrap Character attribute for the schema as a quotation mark but it doesn't remove it when BizTalk is parsing the file. Is there an easy way to specify the removal of a wrap character or am I going to have to run it through a script functiod every time? Also I would like to be able to remove the trailing spaces as well, if at all possible.

  • IO.Directory.Exists always returns true

    - by roygbiv
I am executing a IO.Directory.Exists on a network share from an ASP.NET application running under a specific Application Pool with a specific user account. The call always returns true. I have tried several variations: \\server\share$\directory \\192.168.0.1\share$\directory H:\directory I have checked that directory and share permissions are available to the account. The path does have spaces in it \\server\share$\directory\name name\test test, which should make no difference, however I have read otherwise. I will continue to check permissions, as it does work from my local machine (with the built in VS web-server and I am an administrator on the network), but when deployed to the IIS 6.0 virtual directory, and run under the Application Pool, it does not work.

  • Can jQuery dynamically change a "username" field based on a "name" field?

    - by SoulieBaby
Hi all, basically I have two input fields, "name" and "username". The idea is that the "username" field will change depending on what is entered into the "name" field - dynamically. I also need the username field to be in lowercase only and to change spaces into dashes. I was thinking using onkeydown but I couldn't get it to do anything. I've been looking around, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Anyone got any ideas? <input type="text" name="name" id="name" class="field" /> <input type="text" name="username" id="username" class="field" /> ^^ basic form inputs.

  • C#: How to detect . in string and insert a space after it/How to insert space after n chars?

    - by Sam Gentile
Suppose I have a long string like "4600airportburlingame150anzablvd.burlingamecalifornia94010". My code is breaking on this string. This is UNUSUAL. 99% of entries will NOT have a period. The CSS in the browser wraps IF there are spaces in the string and there isn't any here. How do I detect the period (".") and insert a space directly after it? Remember 99% of strings will NOT have a period in them. The code has to detect if it has a period and if so, do the insertion, otherwise not. If I determine a maximum string length, how do I insert a space at some length? Thanks

  • How can I replace a line which contains only -------- by |||

    - by mimou
I have something like: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r2 | username | 2011-01-16 16:52:23 +0100 (Sun, 16 Jan 2011) | 1 line Changed paths: D /foo Removed foo ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r1 | username | 2011-01-16 16:51:03 +0100 (Sun, 16 Jan 2011) | 1 line Changed paths: A /foo created foo ------------------------------------------------------------------------ My target is to identify the file added by the "username" in a specific date. Thus, I need to have the combination (username, 16 Jan 2011, A) to insure that it is the right file ands then print foo. My idea is to: delete the white spaces change the newlines into | get rid of the --------------- and replace them with newlines but the problem is that I couldn't replace the ------- since they are mixed with other characters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |r2|username|2011-01-1616:52:23+0100(Sun,16Jan2011)|1line|Changedpaths:|D/foo|Removedfoo| ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |r1|username|2011-01-1616:51:03+0100(Sun,16Jan2011)|1line|Changedpaths:|A/foo|createdfoo| ------------------------------------------------------------------------ So I thought it would be a good idea to start by replacing the --------------- by a special character like ||| and then change this character by a newline using awk FS=||| OFS=\n Can anyone help me! thanks

  • Can't change Emacs's default indentation between HTML tags

    - by janoChen
I'm confused about the Emacs indentation paradigm. I have this in my .emacs file: (setq-default tab-width 4) If I press TAB in the following situation <ul> (caret) </ul> it end up like this <ul> (caret) </ul> (with 2 spaces indentation between the HTML tags.) It should end up like this: <ul> (caret) </ul> I tried everything: (setq-default tab-width 4) (setq-default indent-tabs-mode t) (setq tab-stop-list '(4 8 12 16)) I've set every possible Emacs setting about indentation to 4 but that 2 space indentation is still there. Any suggestions?

  • Unique elements of list within list in python

    - by user2901061
We are given a list of animals in different zoos and need to find which zoos have animals that are not in any others. The animals of each zoo are separated by spaces, and each zoo is originally separated by a comma. I am currently enumerating over all of the zoos to split each animal and create lists within lists for different zoos as such: for i, zoo in enumerate(zoos): zoos[i] = zoo.split() However, I then do not know how to tell and count how many of the zoos have unique animals. I figure it is something else with enumerate and possibly sets, but cannot get it down exactly. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am trying to check whether the string starts and ends with the same word. egearth. s=raw_input(); m=re.search(r"^(earth).*(earth)$",s) if m is not None: print "found" my problem is when the string consists only of one word eg: earth At present I have hard coded this case by if m is not None or s=='earth': print "found" Is there any other way to do this? EDIT: words in a string are separated by spaces. looking for a regex solution some examples: "earth is earth" ,"earth", -- valid "earthearth", "eartheeearth", "earth earth mars" -- invalid

  • Regular Expression .net flavor

    - by user1440109
Dont ask how this works but currently it does ("^\|(.?)\|*$")....kinda. This removes all extra pipes...part one....I have searched all over no anwser yet. I am using VB2011 beta...asp web form......vb coding though! I want to capture special character pipe (|) which is used to seperate words...i.e. car|truck|van|cycle problem is users lead with, trail with, use multiple, and use spaces before and after...i.e. |||car||truck | van || cycle. another example: george bush|micheal jordon|bill gates|steve jobs <-- this would be correct but when I do remove space it takes correct space out. so I want to get rid of whitespace leading, trailing, any space before | and space after | and only allow one pipe (|)....in between alphanumeric of course.

  • How to add a suffix at the end of a string in PHP

    - by Golem
I am trying to add a .html suffix at the end of all strings supplied by the user before it is entered into the database. Here's my code so far: strtolower(str_replace(" ", "_", $postTitle)); The above takes the title of the post the user it trying to make, turns it to lower case, replaces all white spaces with underscores and makes it ready to be entered into a database column called post_url. I just need it to do one more thing and that's to add a .html at the end of each post url. What is the function to do this?

  • Trim Cells using VBA in Excel

    - by Greg Reynolds
I have what seems like a simple problem with some data in Excel. I have a lot of data with leading spaces pasted from a web table, and I would like to get rid of the initial space. I cribbed the following code (I am completely new to VBA), but it doesn't seem to work. When I step through it in the debugger it looks like an infinite loop. Any help would be appreciated! Sub DoTrim() For Each cell In Selection.Cells If cell.HasFormula = False Then cell = Trim(cell) End If Next End Sub

  • Using sscanf to parse two strings out

    - by Jessica
I have a semi xml formatted file that contains line with the following format: <param name="Distance" value="1000Km" /> The first char in the string is usually a TAB or spaces. I've been using the following to try to parse the two strings out (from name and value): if(sscanf(lineread, "\t<param name=\"%s\" value=\"%s\" />", name, value) == 1) { //do something } name and value are char* Now, the result is always the same: name gets parse (I need to remove the quotes) and name is always empty. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, code is appreciated. Jess.

  • How can I detect if a string contains punctuation marks at the end?

    - by Sheehan Alam
Lets assume I have the string: "Hello I like your shoes #today...!" I am tokenizing the string by spaces: return [string componentsSeparatedByString:@" "]; So my array contains: Hello I like your shoes #today...! I want to focus on "#today...!" any word that has a # in the prefix I am changing the font color. How can I make sure that only "#today" has its font color changed? I would basically like to figure out if a word has a punctuation mark at the end, and change the color for characters before the punctuation mark.

  • Searching for simple variable names like 'c' or 'x' in Emacs.

    - by wpeters
I often wish to search for variables that are simply called 'c' or 'count'. For example int c, count; Unfortunately when I use an incremental search for 'c' or 'count' I get a lot of unnecessary hits like the 'c' in 'choice', or the 'count' in 'wordcount' which do not interest me. I know Emacs can do i-searches with regular expressions but I don't know the correct regular expression needed to match just 'c' and 'count'. These words are often surrounded by any number of white spaces. Anyone know the regex I can use to narrow my search?

  • what does < < mean in the shell

    - by stib
when looping recursively through folders with files containing spaces the shell script I use is of this form, copied from the internet: while IFS= read -r -d $'\0' file; do dosomethingwith "$file" # do something with each file done < <(find /bar -name *foo* -print0) I think I understand he IFS bit, but I don't understand what the < < characters mean. Obviously there's some sort of piping going on here.. It's very hard to google "< <", you see. TIA -stib

  • Turing's Craft exercise stumped me... seems too easy.

    - by Chris
"Write a for loop that prints the integers 1 through 40, separated by spaces or new lines. You may use only one variable, count which has already been declared as an integer." So I use... for(count = 1; count <= 40; count++) { cout << " " << count; } but they are using stdio.h as the only header and cout is not recognized. It hints that the output format should be (" ",count), but I can't figure out what print function to use. stdio.h can use fprintf or fwrite, but I don't have enough parameters for either function. Any ideas?

  • Strange problem with ie6 messing up layout, and fixing byitself some time after loading

    - by 0al0
We have a big ie6 layout problem with a newly launched website: in the header in our homepage, we have a coda-slider, and apparently its messing upt the wole layout of the front page. I have been looking at float and height problems but cannot seem to solve it. Also, the most strange part is that if you wait a while after loading, the layout "fixes itself". Help! The url is the following (without the spaces, sorry) w w w . r e - c r e a r t . c o m Edit: update, it sounds crazy, but if you press control and use the mouse wheel (as if you were zooming in /out in a modern browser, although ie6 doesnt do that) the layout fixes as well. Please help, I am going crazy.

  • Regex - Format with tabs and alphabetical

    - by Sam
Is it possible to use regex to turn this <site-ui:header title="error" backURL="javascript:history.go(-1);" /> into this <site-ui:header backURL="javascript:history.go(-1);" title="error" /> Basically, my goal is to format this xml so that the fields are in alphabetical order (e.g. backURL comes before title), and each field should be tabbed two spaces. If this can be done, any pointers would be really helpful! Even more helpful is an exact regex for vim.

  • space in url; did browser got smarter or server?

    - by Xah Lee
It looks like today you no longer to have to encode spaces by %20 in your html links or image links. For example, suppose you have this image at ?http://example.com/i/my house.jpg?. Notice the space there. In your html code, you can just do this: <img src="http://example.com/i/my house.jpg" alt="my house"> It work in all current version of browsers. Though, what i'm not sure is that whether the browser encodes it before requesting the url, or a particular server will do the right with with paths with space? (apache)
