    I am trying to profile my application. For this I compiled my code with -pg and -lc_p option, it compiled successfully During run time I am getting the following error. in free(): error: junk pointer, too high to make sense Segmentation fault: 11 (core dumped) Doing GDB gives error as.     I was looking to write/get a visual studio add in. I want to be able to write descriptive log calls at the top and bottom of a function. like this log.debug("TheClass.TheMethod(string TheStringParam ="+TheStringParam+") - in"); log.debug("TheClass.TheMethod(string TheStringParam ="+TheStringParam+") - out"); Is there an adin that does this?   • Visual Artifacts in Visual Studio 2010

    I'm using VS 2010 on Windows Server 2003, running on a Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop. VS 2010 runs fine, except for persistent and random screen re-drawing issues. Samples of these are here. These artifacts occur as the mouse moves over items that highlight on a mouse-over event, while scrolling, and when switching tabs. VS 2008 has non of these issues, so I assume that it is related to VS 2010's use of WPF. Could it be that my video card or driver is not up to the task of rendering WPF? Some other WPF applications (not Silverlight) also have some of these screen repainting problems. I have tried a variety of settings in System Properties--Advanced--Performance Options--Visual Effects, and in the related "Advanced" tab, Processor Scheduling is adjusted for best performance of programs.     Hi! I've got a lot of xml files, and embedded in some elements there are json serialized objects. They are quite difficult to read and modify. So question is: Are there any Visual Studio addins availible that can take selected json-text in the editor, and visualize it (and maybe even allow for editing)? if not, if I must build it - are there any good starting points or samples availible?   • Direct3D 11 effect files deprecated?

    I've been playing around with Direct3D 11 a little bit lately and have been frustrated by the lack of documentation on the basics of the API (such as simple geometry rendering). One of the points of confusion brought on by the sparse documentation is the (apparent) move away from the use of effects for shaders. In D3D11 all of the effect (.fx) support has been removed from the D3DX libraries and buried away in a hard to find (sparsely documented, of course) shared source library. None of the included examples use it, preferring instead to compile HLSL files directly. All of this says to me that Microsoft is trying to get people to stop using the effect file format. Is that true? Is there any documentation of any kind that states that? I'm fine doing it either way, but for years now they've been promoting the .fx format so it seems odd that they would suddenly decide to drop it.

In case the variable is an object and not just a basic type, there's a + sign to expand and explore the object. It there a way to copy all that into the clipboard?

  • searching between dates in MYSQL in this format 03/17/10.11:22:45

    I have a script that automatically populates a mysql database with data every hour. It populates the date field like 03/17/10.12:34:11 and so on. I'm working on pulling data based on 1 day at a time from a search script. If i use select * from call_logs where call_initiated between '03/17/10.12:00:00' and '03/17/10.13:00:00' it works, but when I try to add the rest of the search params, it ignores the call_initiated field. select * from call_logs where caller_dn='2x9xxx0000' OR called_dn='2x9xxx0000' AND call_initiated between '03/17/10.12:00:00' and '03/17/10.13:00:00' ^-- I x'd out a couple of the numbers. I've also tried without the between function, and used = <= to pull the records, but have the same results. Im sure its an oversight, thanks in advance.
