Hi,
I have a string "hello [world] this {is} a (test)" I want to remove all text in braces, e.g. returning "hello this a". But only if the braces match.
Anyone have a nice neat solution?
I'm seeking a solution that would allow persistence without requiring an SQL server to be installed on the host and could be bundled along with a desktop application. Does such a thing exist?
Hi, I am trying to develop a cocoa application that requires to read highlighted text from any application. But so far I cannot find any decent solution because the accessibility API isn't always work. (e.g. Firefox) Does anyone know it is implemented in text-to-speech included in Leopard?

Hi,
Every time when I change some values in form controls, I need to set a property of an object or vice versa. Instead of writing some methods for each control, I want a general solution for GUI elements. I do not use WPF but only C# 3.0.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
I need to get informed when the user changes the font size in it's browser.
I need it to reposition some elements which have to be relative in one dimension to an anchor inside a text.
So far i haven't found anything and i'm a bit worried that it's not possible. In this case it should be possible to emulate it with a hidden div and some text inside and a script polling for changes of it's width. But i hope someone has a more elegant solution.
I open a solution containing a website project named "Student" in Visual Studio. It adds a virtual directory to IIS named "Student_1" even though there is no virtual directory named "Student". Any idea why Visual Studio is doing this?
I have an application created with PhoneGap and Backbone. I upload a file as JSon and my server receive data like this :
data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQAAAQABAAD/...
I'm trying to write the file like this :
File.open("#{Rails.root}/public/images/#{self.id}.jpg", "w+") do |f|
f.write(data)
end
It's not working and I don't know what to do. When I'm trying to open the file I have this message "Not a JPEG file: starts with 0x64 0x61".

Hello!
I'm having an issue with Firefox and anchor links from an external page to a tab div on the landing page; while IE render these correctly (I know, that means little), FF and Chrome both send the user to a place somewhat above or below the actual anchor tag. I didn't write the original code, but I'm not able to find much about a FF bug that would cause this, or a solution?

Given a group of about 20 enums that I cannot modify.
Im looking for an elegant solution to generate a random enum from a specific sample (ie, 2, 7, 18)
I could put these into an arraylist, but thought I would ask if there is something else I could try.

Hello everyone,
I have a contact form and I added an image as a background. The background image is flickering when I move the mouse over the fields in IE(6,7,8).
If I remove the contact form (made with divs) everything is fine. I tried to build the form with table and I have the same problem.
Any solution?
Every idea is welcomed!
Thanks!
What is the most efficient way to look up values in a BDB for several files in parallel? If I had a Perl script which did this for one file at a time, would forking/running the process in background with the ampersand in Linux work?
How might Hadoop be used to solve this problem?
Would threading be another solution?
Hi Experts,
I am having an issue with importing a large(60MB) CSV file in MYSQL DB.
The problem arises when an address field has multiple comma seperated values e.g. home no, street no, town etc.
I tried to use BigDump for it but, the problem did not solved because of a single field containing multiple comma separated values.
Any idea, suggestion or solution from experts how to handle it?
Please reply, because I am sick of it.
Thanks
I will be releasing two applications soon, one for my company and one for me. Publishing app on my own is straightforward, but I'm not sure which account to use for the company.
What practice do you use in your company?
I only see one solution, creating a special google account like [email protected] shared by the company Android devs.

Can someone advise me how i can get this back to building? I deleted the debug folder and built again but nothing has changed. I also cleaned the project and solution.

I am trying to parse a list of operating system instances with their unique identifiers. I am looking for a solution to parse a text string, and pass the values into two variables. The string to be parsed is as followed:
"Ubuntu 9.10" {40f2324d-a6b2-44e4-90c3-0c5fa82c987d}
Basically, this question with a difference...
Is it possible to capture print output from a TSQL stored procedure in .NET, using the Entity Framework?
The solution in the other question doesn't work for me. It works with the connection type from System.Data.SqlClient but I'm using the one from System.Data.EntityClient which does not have an InfoMessage event. (Of course, I could just create an SQL connection based on the Entity connection settings, but prefer to do it directly.)
We have a server solution written entirely in unmanaged Visual C++. It contains complicated methods for really heavy data processing.
The whole thing contains millions lines of code, so rewritning it all in some other language is not an option. We could write some extra code or make isolated changes, but rewriting everything is out of the question.
Now we'd like to put it on a cloud. Which platform do we choose - Amazon EC2 or Windows Azure - and why?
