  • Run jsp in eclipse on specific port and ssl

    Hello, I have used Eclipse 3.4 to create a Dynamic Web Project. I have also configured my server to use port 8443 with ssl. If I start my server I can access my test.jsp by going to it's address https://localhost:8443/TestContext/test.jsp In eclipse, I have installed this server and added my project to the server. If I Run test.jsp it always launches as http://localhost:8080/TestContext/test.jsp My question is: How can I set up eclipse to run this on https://localhost:8443/ rather than the default 8080?   • Drupal 6: creating location list manually or dynamically via cms...

    Hi friends, I'm starting my first Drupal project, pretty excited :) I have a question; the project is a hotel directory site. at sidebar I have locations list (London, Manchester, Liverpool, etc..) and filter the hotels related on location click. So, how should I create these cities? Should I put them manually and give links manually depending on location id? or is there any better way to create this location list and linking filtering dynamically (via cms, or custom module, etc...) Appreciate advices!!!!

  • Creating a relative path to a Database in Asp.net for a library

    In school I am part of a team of four working to create a GUI to translate the paper records of a made-up company and their functionality to a digital format. We're using an ASP.NET website for this purpose. Basically we use stored procedures and C# classes to represent the database. The folder we're using for the project contains the site and the libraries in separate folders. If I try to open the site from the folder containing both these elements the site will not run. I want to know if there is some way I can set up a relative path to the database in the Settings.Settings.cs file (or by some other means) of my libraries so I don't have to constantly change the database location for the connection string value every time we move the project. I suppose I should also mention that the database is in an App_Data folder.

    I get the following SQL error: SQL Error: 1066: Not unique table/alias: 'I18n__name' when doing a simple find query. Any ideas on possible situations that may have caused this?? I'm using a bindModel method to retrieve the data is that related?     This question was close to mine, but not quite. I have a Windows desktop and a MacBook Pro. I'd like to be able to keep my Eclipse workspace in my Dropbox folder. The problem is that many project settings change between platforms: references to JREs, JDKs, and other libs. Every discussion I've seen of this problem seems to suggest taking advantage of the source control system's ignore functionality, so that such-and-such file remains local-only and thus able to remain platform-specific. But when you're working with a real single shared folder, that class of solution doesn't apply. Have you had luck working with a Java Eclipse project living in a single folder shared over the network, cross-platform?

    A while ago I worked on a MS-SQL project and I remember a "IS IN" thing. I tried it on a MySQL project and it did not work. Is there an equivalent? Workaround? Here is the full query I am trying to run: SELECT * FROM product_product, product_viewhistory, product_xref WHERE ( (product_viewhistory.productId = product_xref.product_id_1 AND product_xref.product_id_2 = product_product.id) OR (product_viewhistory.productId = product_xref.product_id_2 AND product_xref.product_id_1 = product_product.id) ) AND product_product.id IS IN (SELECT DISTINCT pvh.productId FROM product_viewhistory AS pvh WHERE pvh.cookieId = :cookieId ORDER BY pvh.viewTime DESC LIMIT 10) AND product_viewhistory.cookieId = :cookieId AND product_product.outofstock='N' ORDER BY product_xref.hits DESC LIMIT 10 It's pretty big ... but the part I am interested in is: AND product_product.id IS IN (SELECT DISTINCT pvh.productId FROM product_viewhistory AS pvh WHERE pvh.cookieId = :cookieId ORDER BY pvh.viewTime DESC LIMIT 10) Which basically says I want the products to be in the "top 10" of that sub-query. How would you achieve that with MySQL (while trying to be efficient)?

I read of C++0x is gonna come out 2011 so its called C++11. When C++11 comes out, we will still be developing the software of the project. Also, I need information about which technology I should opt. I haven't started the project yet. So, I am thinking between PHP w/ CodeIgniter and Ruby on Rails.     I am working on an asp.net mvc web service and an Android app that need to be able to communicate with one another. However, when running a web service/web site in Visual Studio it can only be accessed by that machine. So what I want to do is point IIS at my project's bin/debug folder, thus exposing my dev environment to my local network. I know this is possible because my work machine is set up this way, I just don't know how it is done. How do I configure IIS to load a web app from the debug directory of my Visual Studio project?

    I'm creating a DLL with a reference to web services (I don't have the choice to do so) but I have to add web service references to the project that uses the DLL for it to work. Example, I have the DLL called API.DLL that calls a web service called WebService.svc that I want to use in a project called WinForm. First, I have to add a "Service Reference" to WebService.svc in API.DLL. Then, I add a reference API.DLL to WinForm but it doesn't work unless I also add a service reference to WebService.svc in WinForm. What can I do to avoid that last step?

  • git - is there a way to get only required files in the working directory

    I'm new to git and trying to use it with a project that has many (several hundreds) sources. The problem I have is that git is extracting all the project's sources to my working directory when doing checkout. This makes a lot of mess as I have to jump between the files and can unintentionally change/corrupt files that I wasn't even planning to change. I would prefer to extract only sources that I'm going to modify and then work with them. So, is there a way to tell git that I only going to work with specific sources, and so, that only these sources would be extracted to the working directory? Note, that this is not a partial checkout or something like this. I'm ok to checkout the whole branch. It's more about organising a working folder. Thanks.

I have tried to use the WebBrowser control to open the new tab as well as tried to use the Script manager however I have not been able to open the new tab. I am not able to show them as proper characters, they are printed out as question marks yet.     This is FIrst time i try to create Cocoa Touch Static Library and follow these steps. Create New Project with Cocoa Touch Static Library named it By default i got single class with Demo.h and Demo.m. 2.Create a public function in .h and implement it in .m. 3.Select iOS Device and press cmd + B. 4.Copy Demo.a from products and the .h file drop it in my iOS App where i want to use it. 5.Then Import Demo.h and try to call the function that i wrote.     Hello, Here's the deal. I'm just starting with Java programming, I've made a simple application that uses SWT graphic library and I want to deploy it on a Mac (running the latest version of MacOS X). I did all the programming in my Windows 7 machine, so here are my questions: Q1) Can I make an executable file for MacOS X from my Windows machine? How? (I saw that it's possible to create .exe files on Windows, instead of using .jar; I want to do the same for the Mac, of course it won't be an .exe) Q2) If I export my project in Eclipse and I choose Runnable JAR File and then on Library Handling I pick Extract required libraries into generated JAR or Package required libraries into generated JAR I end up with a huge .JAR (about 15MB of size, my application consist in just a button on a Window and a tiny method that doesn't do much). I tried with the following option but didn't succeed :( Tools-Options-Proejcts & Solutions - VC++ Project Settings - Build Timing- Yes From the above option I am able to get the whole time taken to build the solution but my problem is to get for each one.   • Do you have references issues with Visual Studio 2008 and C#.Net?

    I'm working on a project and it seems that every time someone checks out the project from source control to build it on their local box they have issues building because references are no longer resolved. I can't figure out if it's a configuration issues or a Visual Studio 2008 issue. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, is there something you can do to fix this issue? Note: it might have something to do with explicit paths to the DLLs being referenced or how they are referenced ... I'm not quite sure.

I have given the [Authorize] attribute for each view index method. After the session complete when we select any view then the page inside the project main page will be redirecting. But I want the whole page to be redirected. Any Help is appreciated.
