    Hello all I am using HTMLTable of import com.google.gwt.user.client.ui.HTMLTable I instantiated it like below: HTMLTable table = new Grid(rows, col); Number of rows and columns are decided by the user input. Now I want to used colspan for the specific rows of the table. One way to this is apply css to the that specific row.But problem with this is that Number of column to span are decided by the user input, i.e It may vary every time. So by using css it is something like making it static. So I want to know the way through which I can do colspan on the rows of the table. and Number of column to span is different every time.     I want to write some code that allows me to replace jQuery's animate function with one that does different things, but still allows me to call a secondary function on completion. At the moment, I'm writing lots of code like this; if (cssTransitions) { $("#content_box").css("height",0); window.setTimeout(function() { secondFunction(); }, 600); } else { $("#content_box").animate({ height:0 }, 600, function() { secondFunction(); }); } I'd much rather write a function that looks like this: function slideUpContent(object) { if (cssTransitions) { object.css("height",0); // Not sure how I get a callback here } else { $("#content_box").animate({ height:0 }, 600, function() { }); } } That I could use like this: slideUpContent("#content_box", function(){ secondFunction(); }); But I'm not sure how to get the functionality I need - namely a way to run another function once my one has completed. Can anyone help my rather addled brain?

    I wanted to select any ul which contains more than 3 lis. This code worked with the 1.2.6 jQuery library: $("ul:has(li:gt(2))") .each( function() { $(this).css("border", "solid red 1px"); }); But not 1.3.2 or 1.4.2. This code worked with the 1.4.2 jQuery library: $('ul').has('li:nth-child(3)').css('border', 'solid red 1px'); But not v1.2.6. Why does each version work with one library version, but not the other? Am I encountering some kind of bug, or am I doing something wrong? Any help understanding , or differences to be aware of between different versions of the jQuery libraries, would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Hey guys quick question, I am kind of a noob at administering my server right now. I was just wondering if anyone could let me know what I was doing wrong in trying to enable mod_deflate. I have Apache 2.0+ and tried the code in my htaccess file AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html text/plain text/xml text/css <FilesMatch "\\.(js|css|html|htm|php|xml)$"> SetOutputFilter DEFLATE </FilesMatch> It did not compress any of my files when I tested my site in firebug. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong, would really appreciate any pointers.

I am trying to creating a form on Frontpage 2003 and right now all my boxes are all over the place, as shown below: Name: [----] Email: [----] I want the boxes to be like this: Name: [----] Email: [----] I have tried using table to line up the boxes but when it come to giving an ID using the 'Lable' on the 'Form' tool bar by highlighting the text box and 'Name', the table get highlighted and wont create an lable. I just want to line up vertically all the boxes and i am new to web design so i dont understand much about HTML or CSS. I dont think Frontpage 2003 has CSS. Can someone tell me how to line up all my boxes. Many thankz

    I have created navigation menu in YUI 2.8 as below : I have also animated tabs using CSS transitions. CSS transitions are not widely supported by browsers and my animations are not working in Opera, IE etc. Since i'm already using YUI 2.8 on that page, can somebody tell me how do i animate those tabs? When i click on any tab, it should expand in vertical dimension smoothly (animated).     I am working with jquery sliding tabs. I have found a resize plugin that helps the tabs adjust to expanding content. The only thing is that i want to set a permanent height to tab 1(st_content_1). The code i have below works but it is a bit faulty. Should place in the function if statements? Check for the height of the first tab and then set it? Or a any better solution? You can check my EXAMPLE.
