  • Updating Dell Vostro 3700 (Nvidia GeForce GT330M) display driver?

    I've bought this laptop "Dell Vostro 3700", having inside an Intel integrated graphic card and an Nvidia GeForce GT330M. Depending on energy saving mode it switches between the two video cards. When I try to update the video driver (now version 189.99 on Windows 7 64-bit) with that found on Nvidia site an error message say that it cannot find compatible graphic hardware. Dell doesn't provide a newer driver version. Has anyone solved the same problem?

    my computer wont load past the windows logo, when it finishing loading the logo i see a blue screen quickly flashes on and off just a glimpse of it but i recognise that sreen anywhere i know its a serious error message screen, after that it just shows a black screen with a movable cursor, i've tried to repair, load last good configuration, but nothing seems to work, i'm running windows 7, its a toshiba laptop, 4 GB SDRAM, 320 GB HDD, Intel Pentium Processor T4200, dual core processor.

    Details I recently upgraded to Windows 8 Enterprise trial. After installing, I downloaded the Nvidia Windows 8 x64 install package, and it installed fine. After rebooting I got a message stating that SLI was disabled. And in the configuration menu the option to enable SLI is grayed out. I have confirmed the SLI is connected properly. Any thoughts?     I would like to list the group policies for local users on a machine I'm setting up. However, when I run gpresult /v /u localmachine\user I get the error that I do have to specify a server name, and when I run gpresult /v /s 127.0.0.1 /u localmachine\user I get the message user credentials for local system are ignored, and I get the group policies for the local administrator as a result. How do I get the settings for the users?

    I have an external HD (WD MyBook Essentials) with all of my backups (1TB) for some unknown reason, when I try to connect the drive (Tried several interfaces: eSATA/plugged it into my PC/USB) I get this message: "You need to format the disk in drive M: before you can use it" I've looked in disk management at the drive, and its listed in there - with the same full capacity. The file system under disk management now says RAW and that its healthy

  • How to see all nics in Solaris 8/9

    I have a questions regarding how to see all NICS in the solaris 8/9 SPARC boxes. Even if they are active/inactive. dladm show-link command does not work. cat /etc/path_to_inst could but it's hard to make out the NICS. Also when a cable is disconnected from the NIC ifconfig -a still shows the NIC as "UP/RUNNING" without looking at the system message, is there a way to know that the NIC is unplugged? Thank you!

For example: I run the command ping 192.168.1.1 -t in the command prompt, and if there is no reply I get something is odd, but I don't understand what is and where it is.     My HP d330 does not properly shutdown, after Vista "shutting down" message the lcd screen goes black, but both HD + Power Leds remain on.. Any ideas? No entries in EventViewer about this. Keyboard leds no more work after this partial shutdown so I assume hardware is partially shutdown..? Same problem occurs when I choose Sleep from shutdown menu

  • Cannot create Windows Service for MySQL (Vista)

    I uninstalled MySQL 5.1 from Vista as I lost the username/password, however I forgot to stop the MySQL service before doing so. Now whenever I try to reinstall it I get to the final configuration screen which then fails with the message "Cannot create Windows Service for MySQL Error:0". I've uninstalled MySQL and removed all related files/folders/registry entries but still no joy... Does anyone know a way to resolve this as I can't seem to find a fix online anywhere!
